I have booked a flight from Delhi to Srinagar. But when I got the information from customer care that this is Cash Point not Cash Back. Via.com told me that these point may redeemed while next booking. But when I was making another booking, was surprised to see that only few amount was showing against Cash point. I would like to informed you that this is not Cash back offer. Just cheating with customers.

Thanks

Booked a ticket on via.com only to know my surname got left out in the booking. This is a mandatory field before we can proceed with the booking. Via.com refused to do anything and Thai airway can't do anything since it is booked with third party. Ridiculous! Never using via.com

Scam?

I booked, got and passed the Verified by Visa screen then later got the following redundant, unprecedented and ungrammatical response in "Hinglish". Also a brand new piece of spam to my usually pristine email I use only for major transactions. I'm canceling, calling Visa and rebooking through another site!:

Your Card transaction has been filtered out for review by the Bank. We strongly suspect that there is a possibility someone is using your card to make this transaction. As an additional level of security for your card & to protect your interests, Via will verify the following documents prior to the confirmation of the bookings. Therefore, we request you to provide us the following documents by mail at the soonest to enable us to confirm your booking:

1. Credit Card ONLY Front Side Copy NOT the reverse side.

2. Valid photo Id Proof of the card holder ( Eg. Your NRIC or Passport Copy or Driving License)

I booked a hotel named Resort Lagoa Azul in Goa from 2nd Oct 2014 to 4th Oct 2014 with via.com. Though they do not offer any kind of coupon but they give me a cool pricing to book this 3 star property. Their post booking service was also pretty good. When I called them after reaching in Goa to locate the property they helped me a lot.

I was flying to San Francisco on a business trip and had booked my tickets on Via.com. My connecting flight from Delhi to Hong Kong (Air India) got delayed by around 6 hrs due to a faulty landing gear. The onward flight from Hong Kong to San Francisco (Cathay Pacific) had already left by the time I landed in Hong Kong and I was clueless what to do next.

I checked with Cathay Pacific help desk and was told that they wouldn't be able to help me as the delay was not due to a Cathay Pacific flight. I was at my wits end and checked for seats on the next flight to San Francisco. To my shock, every single flight from Hong Kong to SF is fully booked for next 2 days due to Comic Con. I called up the Via.com help desk and told them of my dilemma.

I was not expecting any help really, my thought was at least they will be able to book me a flight back to Delhi. To my surprise, the call center supervisor, Mr. Hari, got me a seat on the next Delta Airlines to SF by paying just 25% of the full fare. I have booked flights from several sites over the years and the experiences have ranged from good to outright horrible. But this is was the first time I was totally blown away by the amazing customer support by a travel portal.

I saw several Via.com reviews and found it hard to believe that so many people had a bad experiences with the site. My guess is that we tend to vent out only when things go bad and rarely appreciate a great customer experience. This review about Via.com is my attempt at trying to reverse the trend and giving credit where it's due.
