Their customer service is non existent. There is basically no way to get help regarding your booking and they do not respond to emails at all. If you make a booking with them and wish to make a change you would be better off just giving up the booking entirely. Getting a refund is even harder because the process is incredibly Long drawn and they add various unexplainable charges so you are left with a fraction of the refund you are supposed to get. It is an awful and horrible experience trying to reach their customer service. I had to resort to complaining to Skyscanner and it was only after Skyscanner reached out to them that I received a response. Would strongly NOT recommend this to anyone at all. Unethical and terrible.

Bad customer service
March 27, 2019

Required to change my return air ticket. Can't advise the flight and ask me to search myself through their website. I have done and send them the airline and date I want yet told me that Is not available and I'm not entitle. Ask them to give me a list yet no respond for 3 days. I require to refund, for sure no respond, I have try to send to different email support address since no use and unable to call through all the hotline. Really a bad service. Highlight "DO NOT" recommend.

Bad Customer service
March 25, 2019

Its been more than a month now I have been trying to connect with the customer care and after multiple follow ups they have not provided me a solution. This is atrocious, I have been on long holds, have been providing the same information again and again. I mean do you guys even know what you are doing. I am definitely going to file an official complaint against you in the consumer forum. You have no regards for your customers.

DO NOT USE Via.com! Two weeks ago I tried to book ticket via this website and it took one hour processing the ticket only to finally said "no ticket is available".

My credit card was subsequently charged for the ticket I didn't get. When I asked to process the refund, I need to send multiple emails over the 2-weeks span to ask for refund. Today is the 16th day since I made the purchase, and my refund hasn't come.

This website makes money out of the false transaction. It cheats on customers. AVOID Via.com at all cost!

These guys are siting there to eat your money. I am so frustrated with via.com. I had cancelled my indigo flight and as airline I supposed to get 3400 ra but via return me 2600. When I asked breakage then they told charge are deducted: service charge + coupon but they did not reach to 2600 rs. When I explained the math then gave another reason that they paid money to airlene to confirm the ticket. That's why they deducted that charges also. But this not acceptable that after booked the ticket, someone has paid the amount for ticket confirmation. This is one story. While canceling this ticket, had cancel one another ticket of jetair line and as par airline, I should get 3 k but they refunded me 793rs and they did not give breakages. I called so many time on customer care number it was so frustrating. Don't know where to complain about issue. That's why pls be aware of this.

I recently have book an air ticket from BKK-DFW.
/ The 1st day: I got an email to confirm my ticket.(FMNTH101NBPFMM) Then followed up with a receipt of my payment by credit card.
/ Then the 3rd day: I have received an email "In regards to your booking FMNTH101NBMHD8, please note your booking is not confirmed. Kindly contact the via support center." Which is a different booking reference number but same PNR.
/ 4th day: I got another respond say "With regards to FMNTH101NBMHD8 the transaction is failed and the amount is not charged. Kindly proceed with new booking.
Note: Kindly check with the bank and proceed with new booking. In case of dupe booking Via will not hold any responsibility. "

To me, what does this really means? I have 2 bookings even though I punch down my credit card number on their website once. It doesn't make any sense to me. And the same PNR on both of the bookings - why? What? What just happned?

After several emails - and I think both of us - me and their staff in India are exhusted. I decided to let the credit card company to deal with them. It might take 3 months to get the money back or maybe not at all. I don't know. Dealing with them is a waste of time.

Between miscommunication or SCAM - I don't know. English is not my first language either - but this does sound like a rip off to me.

Watch out, travelers

They write refundable in bold letters while booking and then they quote cancellation charges which are even more than the booking charges. Like seriously?

VIA.com is FAKE
August 17, 2018

Never ever use via.com. The most fraud application. They are the big time scammers. Today morning i booked 9 tickets for a confirmed payment of 8245 and additional 400 was charged. The whole payment was done. First of all after the payment they mailed us saying the PRN is processing. After 1 hour i received a call saying you need to pay ******* more per ticket or we will cancel the tickets. An amount given which changes after the payment is done? How does this happen. They claimed saying GO air site gave us the new rates, so we need to revise the rates. After one hour i booked the same ticket at 8245 and they accepted it.

Please find emai from them below,
This is only 300 THB for 2 guests. I booked everything corrently and paid already. It took a while to get my booking code. They already took my money and left me no choice unless paying more. If I would have known from the beginning, I would not book with their site. I would prefer to book with the airline website directy. I saw it cheaper. That was it. Then they would not give me booking code unless I paid more

Dear Guest,

With regards to reference FMNTH1013ZKC8N as we were trying to confirm your booking we have noticed that there is a fare difference of 300 THB please confirm back to us so that we can collect the fare difference and confirm your booking.

Regards,

Via Customer Support Team.

AVOID!
July 6, 2017

So after a £76 pound phone call 45 emails which half were not responded to I was only given a partial refund which when o check the terms and conditions and even the operator advised me I would only be charged and airline fee and a admin fee so overall I should of received back roughly 260 pound I receive 80 odd pound. And I accidentally booked twice so they robbed me twice.

I checked all terms and conditions and it seems my ticket which was refundable may I add simpley has been ignored and to via it is only refundable for the amount they make up!

Please do not fall victim to this. Go with Thai airways or some else as they are amazing.

As travel agent, we had problem booking to Coron hotel and tours. We have been communicating for 1 week and there was already an instruction for the reservation of our client's stay for 4d3n. When we deposited our payment to their account we just learned that the hotel according to them is not replying and so ee tried calling the hotel directly, we found out there were no reservation made for us, the hotel is fully booked already. We filed a written complaint from their Head office in India and Philippines but to no avail. We have request to refund as the money and they just ignored. When u call their hotline you will be forwarded to different people until they will tell you its not their concerns. Poor quality service. As if you need to source on your own. You are not treated as travel partner. All they want is your deposit fund, its hard to refund

Unbelievable
February 23, 2017

I am fuming right now as I booked a ticket two MONTHS ago from Thailand to Utah to go back home and see family. After booking, they informed me that they were having "trouble" issuing the ticket and to wait. I patiently waited a few weeks. After getting the feeling that something was off, i asked for them to cancel the booking and refund our money since they could not provide the ticket. They emailed me and informed me that they had refunded the money in full to our account. Fast forward a month and there is no money in sight. This is a total scam! NEVER book with them! We have tried to get our money back through filing a police report and talking to the bank but it has proven a difficult task as we used a debit card to pay, not credit card so there really is nothing to do at this point. This was over a thousand dollars and I don't know what to do at this point to try and get our money back.

Very bad service!
February 14, 2017

I am due to fly to Kolkatta on Thai Airways, for my dear cousins upcoming wedding and have been just informed by the travel agent Via.com, after much chasing, that I am unable to do so just 2 days before my flight departure date.

My friend booked 4 tickets on 1 December 2016 for herself, and 3 other passengers. She was not able to provide the full names as per passport for my other friend and myself. However, she emailed Via.com 3 minutes later to inform of our full names. The travel agency failed to respond to her email and I followed up by providing scanned copies of both our passports. Yet there was no response from the agency.

After many failed attempts of trying to get in touch via phone with Via.com on the Singapore and India numbers (this number is no longer in use) as listed on their website, managed to contact them yesterday. The staff member had retrieved our booking number and realized that no action had been taken on their part to follow up on the matter although it has been more than 2 months. He informed me that he will look into it and respond by the evening. Later that evening, I got an email response from the Subject Matter Expert, informing me that the change of name is not permitted and the details for the cancellation of our tickets.

I spoke with the staff of Thai Airways this morning who informed me that they would be able to make the change to the names. However, since we booked our tickets through Via.com, only the agency had access to do the necessary. I went down to the address listed on the Via.com website which reflected the Singapore office only to find out, to my horror, that it was the residential address of its director and that there was no actual office in Singapore.

I spent the most part of my late morning and afternoon liaising with the staff from Via.com about a possible solution to this matter. However, the Subject Matter Expert proved unhelpful and even defended the incompetence of his office by putting the blame on me for the lack of my follow up. His solution: to cancel and rebook the flights, which were not the original flights booked since all the tickets were sold out, and at extra cost to my friend and myself.

I personally hold Via.com responsible for this great inconvenience and Skyscanner since it was through this website that I got to know about Via.com. This whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and it has been most upsetting and frustrating. A wedding is supposed to be a joyous occasion and I was not counting on a major obstacle such as this.

Tried to book a ticket with Via. Singapore to Sydney. They didn't accept booking and wanted more identification and copies of drivers license and credit cards. THen I got a friend to pay for the ticket as they let me believe my card wasn't working. This also wasn't acceptable. So after numerous emails and four phone calls Sydney to Singapore all with lengthy waiting periods and a confirmation of the original price. No 24hr service center. They would only issue the ticket for an additional cost of $350. Best to book directly with an airline company.
