I ordered a set of dog tags and a Veteran's hat. What I received was cheap, costume quality garbage. The pathetic excuse for dog tags is made of cheap tin and are easily bent with little to no effort. The free P-38 can opener is a joke piece of tin as well. The hat that I received has a simple tag that reads designed in USA...,but not made in USA? Friends of China is no friend to this vet, $52 for a dollar store hat and Tin dog tags, that I waited 3 weeks for, is shameful and not at all serving the needs of Veterans... I will never give another dime to this company...
They advertise a US made product, but labels are still from China.
Fraudulent or at least intentionally misleading advertising.
In the past I have been satisfied with my purchases however this time I ordered two shirts, a hat and only recently got an e-mail telling me it may be 1-2 weeks before they are shipped. What is worse is just after I got my e-mail receipt I noticed I ordered the wrong size on one and promptly e-mailed a detailed letter to customer support requesting a change on the order. I have received nothing on that. I did however get an e-mail from customer support regarding a poor review I gave them. Multiple enquiries to customer support gets you zero. Forget calling them, you wait forever and they drop you in voice mail.
I ordered 2 items and upon receiving them only 1 item was correct. The shirt I ordered was 2 sizes too big and the insignia was completely wrong. Upon contacting them it took 2 weeks to find out how to send it back. Communication was horrible. The first person I spoke with said she would send me a prepaid shipping label to return the shirt since they sent the wrong item. After a full week and several phone calls (could only leave a message) and emails, I finally received an email from the customer service manager who talked down to me and was very rude. Another few days went by, finally I just sent the shirt back to them with tracking and hoped for the best. It arrived there on Friday, I got an email the following Tuesday that she had processed my refund but would do nothing about the $10 postage.
I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially a veteran! Horrible people! Avoid them!
Don't believe their line that orders ship within 1-4 days. On day 8 I tried to contact them. They do not answer their phone. I emailed. They do not respond to email. I cancelled order. Then they ship it via a slow boat from China. Still waiting on it. No apology, no acknowledgement... no product. Nothing. If you dropped the ball and my order got lost, at least have the decent to let me know. So frustrating. I will NEVER order from these people again. And I have to wonder at the positive reviews some people have given them. How can their customer service be professional when they have no contact with you? Just crickets chirping in the wind. I wish I'd read the reviews before I ordered. I am getting the distinct impression this company is some guy working out of his garage and not doing a very good job of it. Nice way to treat Vets. Shaking my head.
Ordered 3 hats 2 weeks ago. Still not shipped and still in "Under Processing" status. No way to call because no one answers. 3 emails sent and no response. Do NOT waste your money. $60 that I'll never get back! Sucks because the last orders went well! Lesson learned!
They auto renew and make it very difficult to cancel. There is no real value to the service. The web site showed up as "dangerous / nor verified" from my Google Chrome again this morning (3rd time).
This is typically a site that preys on veterans, I hope a federal investigation will be done, this is absolute shameful, shame you on you, what a disgrace

Ordered a keychain from this company and after 5 days it did not ship. I ordered the same product from another company and it shipped the next day so I contacted vetfriends to cancel my order. After twelve phone calls and two emails in 4 days I finally had to contact the BBB. They always seem to make it the customers fault even though they have very very poor customer service. Through the BBB they said this item was no longer in stock but never contacted me. So buyer beware
Very disappointed in the customer service from this company and the quality of the product. Shirt is advertised as Black but came in a greenish-grey color. When I called to have it replaced I was told, "that's the color it comes in, if you don't like it, return it." Then they proceeded to tell me they would only refund the price of the item and original shipping and I would have to pay to return item. This is poor customer service. If they would advertise the color correctly I wouldn't have to return it!
Ordered a military patch. When I completed the order, the patch changed to a different one. Tried to call the company to tell them what happened. No one answered the phone. Tried for three days to get someone to answer the phone or call me back. Finally sent an email. They basically said 'to bad'. They sent me the wrong patch and said that I could return it at my expense for store credit. Will never buy from this company again.
I created an account ($9.97 monthly) to help my daughter find her father. When it came time to closed my VF account, I sent an email to *******@vetfriends.com asking that my account be closed. When they didn't respond via email, I called their customer number *******618 but, had to leave a voicemail due to high volume of calls. That was a month ago! I've had to contact my bank to dispute the charges (since August 2021). VF refused to give a refund and had the audacity to charge my credit again, after my dispute! I had to contact my bank again to dispute this latest charge, and cancel my credit card to stop VF from continuing to charge me.

I ordered a C-130 Air Force Cap on September 8,2017, September 23,2017 still no cap. Will not answer telephone, it says "leave message" but don't hold your breath.! Sent 2 emails, they said give them 2 business days. Well, that's long past. So at this point, made a complaint to Better Business Bureau in Columbia. Now lets see if they get back to me. End result.? If you don't want to end up like me, and you are a veteran, spend your hard earned cash with a company who cares for you. I think I just lost my money. They are well "cloaked."
Cheap foreign made products, ordered a 82nd Airborne Hat for a disabled vet friend in Roseburg Oregon Vets Home. What arrived was an absolute joke, cheap plastic adjustment band, front patch was plastic and half attached, No quality control. Have been calling and no answer, nothing. Would I order again from these people - Absolutely not! Be wise people you will be disappointed in the products and lack of customer service outreach. $32.22 for garbage. What a shame these people push the Vet cause with such vigor, But deliver sub-standard crap... My camera needs charging so no photo, But will be reposting with photo as soon as done with the charge.

We do have quality control. However, with humans come human mistakes. The reason you were not able to reach us is that we are an organization of fewer than 20 employees and we were overwhelmed from the holiday season. If you call now you will get a representative right away.

Bought the T-Shirt that says Veteran.instead received a different logo t-shirt that smelled of Downy fabric softener and had dried food stains. Not acceptable!
Shipping to protect my Marine Corps covers did not happen! They arrived crunched! I am DONE with vet friends! They are not a "veterans friend".
Save your time and energy by not dealing with this company. Even after a customer cancels an order the same day, they (so called Vet "Friends") immediately charge your credit card. Then they send you an e-mail that states in part "if you have an issue with this order, contact our administrator", but they don't provide an e-mail address, nor a telephone number (apparently they expect you to research that on your own time). They also don't return telephone voice messages. Because they ignore all my attempts to discuss my order, I started a "charge dispute" through my credit card.
Slowest order fulfillment I have ever been around! Makes the snail mail of the postal service lightning fast! They state Free shipping and charge for shipping. Lack of respect by not fulfilling the order in a timely manner. They Do Not return phone calls! Hats are shipped in an envelope and arrive flat and out of shape. They need to state upfront it may take up to a month to receive your order! This is one and done!
We are so sorry you had a bad experience. Some items state they are special order and take additional time plus your date was near Christmas and we are not nearly as large or well funded as Amazon. Free shipping is for members and orders over $100 as our website states. As for any damaged items, we would gladly send a recall tag and replace the damaged item. We are a veteran owned small business since 2000 and cannot afford to have bad reviews. We want satisfied Veterans.
Ordered a hat with priority shipping for Veterans Day. A week late received email that the hat was out of stock and supplier would not be making any more. Did not give me my requested refund, store credit instead. Ordered another hat and have still not received it. The hat that is out of stock continues to be promoted in all the emails that I have been receiving since my first order. I will never do business with this site again and am warning all of my fellow veterans to stay away.
I love the selection of hats and military gear. My boys went on a camping retreat with our church and I ordered camping gear, flashlights, backpacks from vetfriends.com. I waited until a week before to decide to order (after looking all over for these items not being able to find them) so i was kind of nervous about getting them on time. Everything came on time and we were satisfied with all the items. I will definitely be ordering again

When you placed your order and received your receipt of the order via email, it did tell you to allow extra time for your package to ship as we are a small facility and we are trying to practice social distancing to protect our workers. You would have also received an email on the first of July telling you that your package has shipped. We are not able to answer all of our calls or emails as quickly as we usually do as we are trying to practice social distancing in our Customer Service office as well. By now your package would have been received.
