I purchased a crystal mug from Vernier shop because they stated US owned and operated, and that the item shipped within three days from Nevada. Turns out the item is shipping from China. When I contacted them, they said their US stores sold out so they were shipping from a warehouse overseas. I requested a refund and they stated I could pay to ship the item back or I could keep the item and get 50% back. I ordered 13 days ago and I still have not received my item, so I don't even know if I'm going to like the product or if it is the same as what it advertised online. I paid double what I could've paid elsewhere because they stated they were US owned and operated and I would have it quickly. I'm very frustrated because this was a Christmas gift and because I would not have purchased from them if I knew it was a product coming from overseas because I could purchase those on Amazon and I hoped it would be a better quality product.
I will never do any type of transaction with these merchants again. Blatant bait and switch with lousy refund policy. STAY CLEAR
Verniershop stated 3 to 4 day shipping I purchase product. I hopes of receiving in that time frame. After emails find out product is out of stock in US after 4 business days of communication. Within communication I stated a need date for this product. Besides endless emails I tried to call *******534 customer service number and request delivery date. Support was unhelpful at best! Or wouldn't even let me explain my dilemma but push me aside to yet wait for another damn email... I requested to cancel the order but unfortunately that can't happen because you can't cancel but only a day after you purchased it... This is after 4 days of waiting and finding out product as it hasn't even shipped yet. Such BS. Warning consumers..
Scam company do not purchase from them customer service is extremely disrespectful you try to get information you call them five or six times being respectful they don't return calls they don't return emails and then when you get mad they yell at you they took my money and have yet to deliver my package and want to talk about that I have to be patient that I get my package when I get it and that I'm not the only one that they work for if I could have given it zero Stars I would have please please do yourself a favor don't care what the price is do not purchase from them you will never get your package
In the shopping cart, there's a highly inconspicuous checkbox that enables "MONTHLY BILLING" for membership access. Although I unchecked that box, they started billing me 29.99 monthly.
When I contacted their customer service, they were extremely rude and wouldn't confirm that they stopped the subscription-- only stated that they credited my card for that initial fee.
This took WAY too long to get here Not even CLOSE to fitting me! In fact it leaves a gap of more than a foot across my belly I would recommend that you not deal with this company!
I purchased 2 small WiFi cameras from Vernier Shop. Both would not pair with the WiFi or ap. It cost me $20 to return them for credit and they had the nerve to charge me a restocking fee for defective items.
Some other bloke will purchase the same cameras and go thru the same nonsense.
Stay away from these guys.
I purchased on 6.27 (3-5 day advertised delivery) I cancelled on 6th day, 7.3. It arrived 7.5. I requested instructions to return for full refund. I was offered 40% refund and $25 website credit. 🤣 I'm only into week 2 if my 30 day window. This is very poor customer service! Do not buy anything from Vernier Shop.
I ordered adjustable glasses but they send me garbage this glasses made from cheap plastic thick lenses you can't see trough even, they are not useful at all.I was trying several times reach them calling to customer support they hang up on me, even trying to email was asking for shipping label to send their trash back, I was ignored then I called my bank to file a claim and have my refund back.
I wish I'd checked the reviews before I ordered!
I just received two birdfeeders, ordered from Vernier.
These feeders look nothing like the advertised feeder. They are cheap crap and obviously made in China.
Photo on left is from Vernier website, photo on right is actual (crappy) birdfeeder as delivered. The actual feeder is half the size of the advertised feeder and very poor quality.
Vernier's advertising is deliberately deceptive.
Their salespeople deflect any enquiries about product origin. They also state that the products 'if not available from their US warehouse, are shipped from an overseas warehouse"...complete and utter BS!
Vernier's 'phone number is an answering service and if anyone answers, they are rude and unhelpful.
I was fortunate...my credit card company gave me a full permanent refund.
I bought a cheaply-made product and got it quickly. Only problem is that 3 weeks later, they decided to take an additional $29.99 for no reason. Luckily it was blocked automatically by my credit card. Good luck!
Item ordered was shipped from China, not disclosed until after it was paid for, nor was the bizarre return policy and took 19 days not 3-5. Arrived without all of its parts and the wrong size and parts not working. Company jerked me around for 20 days with emails and no responses.call them and they will expedite your concern...then nothing. Today I was offered 20% refund OR I could ship itt back to China at my expense and then they would charge a 25% restocking fee. Never have nor will they address that the item doesn't work. Will not tell you where they are located and won't give a state side address. Beware.
Said that they ship from the US which is a lie. Tracking number is from China. Says 3-5 days to get your product. This is now day 7 and package still hasn't left China. Tried contacting for a refund and an explanation but was ignored. After they clearly promised on the site fast shipping they sent that letter saying there would be a delay because of the demand for item. Why do these places keep getting away with this?
So I ordered weeks ago a WiFi camera. First they took forever to even shop it and made everything confusing by sending me 20 email updates.
The first email after ordering this camera, they were so apologetic about my item being on back order that their sympathetic ways offered me a free $25 purchase on anything in their store.
Me being a bit gullible I went on their store and chose a (90,000) liken flash light which I ended up paying $4.99 for because it was $30.00 total.
So this morning when I woke up I went on my bank statement and noticed a second charge from this store on the amount of $29.99. Just so happens to be the price of this flashlight.
Scam if you ask me. I'll be investigating, talking to my bank and also getting my money back plus some.
I say steer clear unless you have forever to wait, and also want to watch your accounts like a hawk to make sure they don't slip in some random charges.

They sell junk that doesn't work. Getting to support is basically impossible - and English is a wish-list item, and they don't know the junk they sell. My crappy not working camera has no model number. By the time I got some correspondence it was past the 30 days - which is their drop dead return date (there are NO warranties of any kind). Here is a response to my not working junk: "However, we don't have specific information for that product. Please rest assured that we take your inquiry seriously, and we have escalated your request to our product information team. They are diligently working to gather the necessary details you are looking for."
Every negative review is 100% true! This company is a scam! DO NOT ORDER from them. Bought a "portable air conditioner" from them...what you find out when it arrives is that it is a humidifier with two ice packs--a joke! Next, I try to return it and they give you the run around: kept waiting for the email with return instructions that "would come in 24 to 48 hours." Surprise! It never came. When I called back annoyed, guy on cell phone with bad connection tried to gaslight me by making himself the victim of my "bad attitude." After talking over me, repeating the same script over and over, he hung up on me. These people are criminals...do NOT do business with them!
They had a sale on some lamps that I'd been looking at, so wanted to order them. Tried multiple times over multiple days with multiple browsers on both my phone and laptop to order but it never went through. Kept getting a "parameters needed to use API" error. Contacted customer support via website link. They initially answered and asked for more info, then ghosted me. Called customer service. The agent said they had problems with the website and sent me a link that was supposed to bypass the problem. It didn't. No option to put the order through via phone. All other attempts to contact them failed. But, they kept sending me coupon codes for up to 60% off because the items were in my cart...just couldn't pay for them. Never was successful. Not a good way to stay in business if folks can't actually order from you.
I ordered 2 items with my Discover Card. The transaction was completed. A week after my purchase, they fraudulently billed my card $29.99. (not the amount of my purchase, but an extra charge.) Discover caught it and denied the charge. Now my card has been used for a charge at Flowers By Algernon in California. I have alerted Discover. It's a shame that you can't order something without having your information stolen. Never again.
We brought an air conditioner from Vernier for my daughter's dorm. It was not allowed in her dorm. Now it's not even opened from the package but returning it is pain in my neck. There is no one when I call them to answer the phone and I have left a lot of messages. They just send the same automated email every time I send an email to their customer service. For a $200 product they have horrible customer service!
Answer: Heats the water really well, and as long as I don't get sparks from the thing I'm very happy!
