Do NOT Book with Prestige Cruises.com! They are Horrible!

I had a terrible experience with Prestige Cruises. There are so many hidden charges and misleading information. They initially told me that taxes were included, but later I was charged additionally for them once I received the paperwork. They also promised easy transfers between locations but failed to follow through.

Once you book with an agent, good luck ever reaching them again! You're directed to customer service, where the representatives are incredibly rude and unhelpful. Calls go unanswered, even from supervisors who promise callbacks and never deliver. It's been three weeks, and I still haven't received a response.

Make sure to scrutinize all your documents and confirm every detail before ending any call with them. What is discussed on the phone is often not what is documented, and changes are impossible, no matter how dissatisfied you are.

Beware, your deposit is non-refundable, and this is where they trap you. I'm losing $400 just to avoid this cruise because if there are issues now, imagine what it would be like on the actual cruise!

Read all the reviews. Most customers share similar horror stories, and happy ones are few and far between. I wish I had read the reviews before booking. Do NOT book with Prestige Cruises.com!

Terrible Service!
December 19, 2023

I wanted to book a cruise with them for 5 people that included $1,000 toward airfare. First of all their airfare prices are 30% higher than the same flights somewhere else. I talked with an agent in the afternoon and we found a reasonable fare. But I was at work and could not book it at that moment because my lunch was over. I told that I will call and book when I get home from work. I called them and was told that I could book that cruise only with the agent that i spoke in the afternoon. Even thought before that I spoke with other agents as well. I called 3 time and was very rude told that I could book only with Jubilee. I left 3 voicemails her but was told that she left for the day. So I was not able to book a cruise. The next day the prices for airfare went up a lot and I am calling for a week and prices are up. I asked to talk with a manager but so far manager did not call me back. Jubilee instructed other agents that they could not book a cruise for me. As a result I did not book a cruise at all. My advice look for another cruise agency if you want to book a cruise. I am very disappointed.

Don't believe anything these people say. Agent told me several times that the $350 have it all drink package had WiFi. I bought it specifically for the WiFi for my 9 year grandson on our cruise. Holland cruise guest services literally told me Prestige lied to me. Never got WiFi. Although he got free sodas. Most expensive sodas ever. When I called to complain, that said "nothing we can do, talk to Holland America".

Hidden fees
May 1, 2023

We booked a cruise from Australia to New Zealand. As US citizens we needed visas. Prestige Cruises never told us that anyone over 74 must have an extensive (and expensive) medical exam from a doctor selected by Australia. My wife had to travel five hours to get the exam that cost hundreds of dollars and they did not accept any insurance. Very disappointed that they did not tell us about hidden costs. Be careful when booking with Prestige

I just booked a princess cruise from Seattle to Alaska for my family and I find the best price on prestige cruises, it's cost $2000 less for one statement than CostcoTravel.com. But after I booked mine, I googled the ship information and found out that the ship has a technical problem which caused a lot of change in the itinerary but unfortunately it's like a final sale so I can't change or cancel it. I called prestige cruises and Jody answered my phone and let me tell you, she's the best agent I have ever talked to. She understood my concern and feeling and she spent two days contacting Princess cruise and she helped me to change my cruise to another ship. She's a life saver. I recommend this company especially Jody to anyone!

Do not use this agency
May 25, 2022

Worst travel agency I have ever dealt with. There is no customer service. I have left over 20 messages over the last 2 weeks. You cannot talk to a person, you have to leave a message. Once you book you will be unable to talk to anyone and most of what they promised will not be done. I leave in 4 days for a 10 day cruise/land to Alaska from Vancouver. Worst experience in my life.

I booked a cruise in Europe. I had some questions about the final bill and i wanted to change rooms. I called the customer service number and left a message. They were suppose to call me back. This is now day 3 with 3 messages left and still not able to get a response. I just left a 4th message I am going to cancel my trip and rebook elsewhere. I guess they think Im just suppose to wait around all day long until they call me back for multiple days. They are awful. No customer service.

We booked a cruise with them and because of COVID we would like to cancel and get our money back. After several phone calls and attempts to reach them, we have been unable to connect with someone to cancel our trip. The original person we booked with, Stephanie, said she would cancel it when we called two months ago yet it was her last day with the company and no one ever followed through. Over the last two months we have made 8 attempts on different occasions to simply cancel and get our deposit back. If this continues I plan to make a report to the Better Business Bureau as well as local news outlets.

No free room upgrade
January 22, 2020

When booking our cruise they stated we would get a free room upgrade. At the time of booking the agent stated we should wait to upgrade until closer to travel date. When I called Prestige they stated that we were already given an upgrade. I told them that the agent just assigned us a room that it wasn't an upgrade. She said the call could be reviewed but seeing as it would take 72 business hours for them to review we would already be on board by that time. So just be careful if they offer you an upgraded room you just might not get it. Spoke with Patrice at 5:15pm Wednesday 1/22/20 after being cut off 3 times.

Prestige Cruises

We just returned from an 18-day cruise-tour-cruise package that included a 3-day cruise from Vancouver to Skagway, a land package that took us from Skagway to Canada via the WP&Y Railroad, thence three nights in the the Yukon Territory. Then a very fine B737 charter flight to Fairbanks, thence Denali. We then rode the Alaska Railroad to Anchorage in 5-star comfort, and the next day rode the Alaska Railroad again to the second cruise in Seward, which took us back to Vancouver. Everything was Holland America "content." (Holland arranged the charter flight and not a third party.)

Prestige apparently put an 11-day cruise-tour package together with a 7-day cruise, and sold it as a single package. In any case, it was a great bargain that I could not match or beat with anyone else. Everything was HAL content.

I was VERY satisfied with the Prestige selling agent, and with Prestige's back office in handling some follow-up issues regarding our medical needs.

I HIGHLY recommend both Holland American and Prestige Cruises!

I have called 3 times in the last two weeks to book cruises with air to Europe. Always I am given a much higher price than is advertised on their webpage. They show Travelzoo trips including taxes and fees with air included. It is never anywhere near the price shown and they say oh their is a glitch or that must be sold out and we just haven't updated our website. Attached is example of Northern Isles trip, balcony with air $1899.

My band initially booked a 2 week stay at the MGM Grand for 2 weeks in August of last year. Complications arrived and our band schedule had to cancel our trip so I called in 5 days prior to the arrival date and asked for a refund. The lady's name was Tracy I believe, she was very kind and polite in assisting me with my refund.
All I said was I need a refund immediately and replied, "Okay, I will get that start for you. Anything else I can do for you?" I replied and said no. After I hung up I realized I forgot to ask her the process of the refund but didn't think it was a big deal.
I waited for months up till December, I STILL did not receive my refund. I called them and realized they FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY!
They jipped me of my money! I spent over $1,200 and now there is no hope getting it back. Don't bother calling there alternative number because they just lay excuses all over you.
People should know by now, by all the negative reviews!

This site is RIP OFF!
November 6, 2012

This site is RIP OFF! BEWARE, i booked a vacation package for my husband and I, we got there to check into our hotel and they told us that the parent company filed bankruptcy and never paid the hotel for our rooms. WE HAD NO PLACE TO STAY! Luckily the MGM was nice enough to give us a suite for the same price we paid these idiots! Complete rip off DO NOT book with them, also all the show tickets are cheaper if you buy them IN Vegas, we purchases tickets from the site as well and they were $40.00 over priced. BEWARE

On Sept 1, I booked the hotel and cancelled the reservation right away in Vegas.com. Now it's Sept. 28, but my credit card company hasn't received any refund or cancellation notice so far, it means I have to pay now. Vegas said it usually takes 30 business day to process refund! What a crap! Why they hold my money for 30 days!

Total rip off..
September 5, 2012

Total rip off. I booked a hotel room 2 days ago for a vacation 4 months ahead. Called to cancel and they want to charge me a $100. When it's clearly stated on the booking page that there is no cancelation fees as long as you book 3 days ahead of checkin!
Would never recommend them. Stay awayyyy from these thieves!

I was actually smart this time ans read the reviews BEFORE I attempted a booking. I was searching for a decent hotel in Las Vegas and came across the Alexis Park Suites on Vegas View. They listed them for $71.00 per night. Not too bad for a suite. I then went DIRECTLY to the hotel's website and low and behold they are only charging $62.10 per night if you have a AAA, AARP or Government issued ID. What a diference this saved me and my family. My recomendation is to AVOID this site and either book with the holte online or call them directly.

I tried to make a reservation through this website and at the end when I purchased my reservation, the screen said "This reservation is not available." I assumed that my credit card will not get charged for this transaction and made another reservation directly to the hotel website I would like to stay. However, the vegasview.com still charged my credit card 2 hours later and completed the suppose to be "This reservation is not available". So, I end up having 2 reservations at the same hotel. This website is a ripoff. Do not make any reservation through this website!
