We are trying to contact a representative and been in the call for 30mins as of now, and it keeps saying all the representatives are busy with only one song playing on loop... Purchased a $500 Vanilla Card from CVS on January 11 only to find out the card will not work. Called Vanilla and they say it's a problem with CVS (The merchant). Went directly to CVS to talk with a manager, who was extremely rude, and said it's not their problem but a problem with Vanilla. I called Vanilla customer service while at CVS and the manager refused to even talk to them once I had them on the phone (each time waiting at least AN HOUR or MORE to speak to someone.) First customer service then the "Escalation Dept." in which each time I seem to get a different answer and always told the same thing. We need to send this to our "BackTeam" and we will have a response within 24-48 hours. I've never received a follow up from Vanilla. I've sent all of the documentation they have asked for (receipt, drivers license, copy of the card). Three months in and I still have nothing to show for the $500 plus fee I spent. I will never purchase another Vanilla Gift card or another card from CVS in Frankfort, IN These two companies appear to be in this scam together.
I received a gift card for xmas that was compromised before I even opened the sealed packaging (The money was already spent). It took 4 months for the company to investigate and provide a replacement card. The replacement card was received and found to be invalid and could not be used. I was given a $500 gift card and when it couldn't be activated, I had to jump through hoops to obtain a receipt from the Dollar General where it was purchased.
Once I had the receipt, I emailed the receipt along with other requested items to the email That I was given by the gift card company. It has been 6 weeks and the issue has not yet been resolved.
The customer service is no more than music on hold and after 40 to 50 minutes you get a person who reads from a scripted dialogue and no satisfaction whatsoever.
