This company is THE WORST. They need to be

Never buy one of these gift cards. Ever. I bought it for a simple online purchase. When making the purchase, they kept getting declined by the bank, or Vanilla in this case. I called them and they said they would unblock. After 24 hours the security would be lifted from the card and I could make the purchase. I then tried to make the purchase 24 hours later. It didn't work. Called again and spoke to a supervisor who told me they can't unblock anything and the company deemed the merchant as a fraud risk. I toldhim they accept visa and I authorize the charge and he said they cant unblock the merchant due to their security and protection of us suckers who thought anywhere vis is accepted meant anywhere visa is accepted. I told them that this is false advertising which is illegal. I uused a Chase bank Visa at this website andit immediately was processed meaning this was Vanilla specifically that was blocking my ability to use their visa card where every other visa worked with no problem. He said they could refund me but it will take3 weeks and I would eat the 3 dollar fee for activation/processing because it was unable to be refunded. They said try again or try another store which if that worked only backs up the point they are scamming because Visa is Visa everywhere, not only where Vanilla decides is an acceptable Visa location, thus making the false advertising claim very true. They sell you on the
packaging that states accepted AT ANY LOCATION WHO ACCEPTS VISA AS A PAYMENTM METHOD and it is treated as if it were a Visa debit/credit card. He then cut me off and said the 3 week refund option. He then hung up on me. Called back and got the exact treatment from another hour call with a different supervisor. I couldn't believe their customer service was quite likely the LEAST HELPFUL EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD IN MY LIFE. And they just try to blame everyone else and act like they are just unable to do anything. I will be filing with the BBB because this is just a scam that after reading these reviews is just apparently getting everyone...They wouldn't escalate me to a higher supervisor and said they cant because they had high call volume...most likely because everyone was confused why their Visa card was unable to be used and were stuck waiting on an agent to understand how sorry they were and how much they understand the frustration but do nothing to resolve the issues...This company is just a joke. Every agent said different things, a supervisor hung up on me and they are just unorganized and do nothing to help but provide hoops to jump through. NEVER AGAIN. Unbelievable how great they are at listening to nothing you say and then just grouping together to provide all of their robotic excuses...BBB needs to investigate them and I hope th

Don't put your hard earned money in fire

To begin i went to jail lost everything and if that wasn't hard enough I finally got a job making decent money had to go to the local Christian center to get work boots thank God I was finally on my way back to a stable life so I waited woke up every morning worked hard n got off repeated on my Thursday I was getting off Instead of direct deposit received paper check this is where the horror story begans so I loaded my cash app paid bills bought few things from store leaving me with a little over 290 of my paycheck left so I decided I would go across street attempt to load cash app at family dollar but my luck paper money was down so crazy me I made the worst decision in my life I grabbed a vanilla visa gift card paid 206 leaving me with 84 dollars to my name to spend and the two hundred was for my commute to work or lunch money during the week well using these cards in the past was iffy from beginning I decided to try to transfer funds and take the lost to credit cards processor so I have a square account and I decided to charge the account for 200 dollars to move around funds within 25 minutes had issue card was approved but balance didn't show up in square red flag immediately I refunded after several calls they have told me many different things now I'm forced to wait another week to get 33% of my check that I worked hard for even though I'm also the merchant who know funds was returned to vanilla gift card they will give you bs explanation some reps will actually try to help but in the end don't do it because these people are thieves no remorse reps will make mistakes telling you to much info then turn around say I'm sorry you was miss informed you have to wait 7 to 10 business days to receive money that they clearly have received but need to review this company should be shut down because now I will have to starve all week no gas money no lunch money and I refuse to go back to jail for trying to steal to make it to work to be a honest citizen so if anybody want to cash app me help me make it to work send to $f2g247

DO NOT BUY THESE GIFT CARDS *SCAM*

I got a 50 dollar vanilla gift card for my birthday, and I haven't used it, but a couple days ago, I decided to use it, but I couldn't, it kept getting declined, so I checked their website, and I put my card info in. It showed me that my bank balance was 0$ and i kept scrolling down to see the transactions that were made. And it says all the money was used 5 days after it was bought at a casino. All of the 50 dollars were gone. So today, I decided to call customer service. So first off the wait times are so long. When I finally got on to talk to a representative, they were playing with me. This foreign women, what it sounded to be Asian, was the person I was talking to and she told me to my name, I said my name, but she couldn't hear me, she was really dumb. When she finally knowledges my name and the reason, she put me on hold. After a while, she came back on, and said, that she could not hear me, and I was screaming at her, but she kept acting dumb, like she doesn't want to give me the money, that I lost. Honestly what the heck is wrong with vanilla gift customer service and the company itself. It's a WASTE of MONEY, DONT BUY A GIFT CARD FRIM THEM, your better of buying an Amazon gift card because there money doesn't get stolen. They should not even sell these gift cards anywhere, because if it's a company dealing with money, they should have secure people's gift card numbers, and what makes it worse, is that, you have to add a pin yourself. And if someone just decided to use it across the other side of the country, they can just know the number of the card and add a pin themselves and boom, the money is stolen. THIS COMPANYIS A JOKE, AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE EVEN MORE.

STAY FAR AWAY! THE ABSOLUTE WORST GiftCard COMPANY EVER, Scammers & Morons in Customer Service

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY VanillaVisaGiftcard. They are the absolute worst of all the giftcard choices out there for MANY reasons. There are tons of bad reviews for them too which speaks volumes about this scam company!

Recently I've had 2 separate absolutely ridiculous situations that customer service was of zero help with. I've NEVER dealt with such a badly run company w/literal morons in customer service who just talk you in circles.

We give giftcards all the time in our family for holidays, birthdays, etc but NEVER again will we ever waste another dime on this pathetic company. Maybe because they're in another country they don't care about their customers or maybe scamming is considered an acceptable form of business & where having rep's who barely have 2 brain cells is the norm but I urge EVERYONE to stay away from VANILLAVISA Giftcards. For those who've been scammed by them to file fraud reports w/your states attorney general, the US atttorney general, IC3.com which is where you can report internet fraud & share on all social media why people need to stay away from these losers so hopefully nobody else gets screwed over by them.

Recently my elderly father asked me to help him register 2 gift cards he got. The MasterCard 1 was easily registered w/no problems however when I got to this lame VANILLAVISA Giftcard 1, there was NO option to register it online which means you cannot use it to make online purchases most places because the billing address has to match your own & by default it doesn't have your address connected unless you register it! You can use it locally no problem but if your goal is to buy something online, forget it. The 2nd issue was I found on this brand new giftcard that I literally just took out of the sealed packaging had a pending charge on it! What? So when I call customer service for help after waiting 1.5 HOURS on hold I get the worlds dumbest representative who was absolutely ZERO help, just talked in circles about everything & when I tried getting help for the fraudulent charges that were pending, instead of stopping the charges to investigate like normal banks do she told me to wait, call back after the 22nd to see if the charge goes through… What the heck? Why would I have to go through all of that? Why wouldn't they help me stop this loser scammer or help figure out how a brand new never used card that I literally took out of the packaging right before the call even had charges pending on it!M it didn't matter that I said when people buy these prepaid giftcards at the store the expectation is that they get to use the amount of money they loaded onto the card & that the card isn't compromised by some loser scammer! Still NO HELP!

I also told her that IF they had the simple ability for customers to register their cards online they could use them to buy things online & it could help in detouring fraud but again it was like talking to a box of rocks, the rep was a literal moron.

So stay FAR AWAY from this TERRIBLE company, do NOT patronize a loser company who could care less about you or their customers, could care less if you get scammed on your brand new just opened card, could care less if you cannot use your card the way you want or need to use it & who's customer service people are beyond dumb, have literal rocks for brains that you'll have to wait over an hour on hold just to have the most frustrating conversation of your life w/no help or resolutions.
There are plenty of other giftcards out there to chose from that allow you to register your card online so you can use it where you want/need to, who offer basic protection from scammers w/reps who aren't stuck on stupid. Better yet give cash, save the $6 these stupid cards cost! At the very least NEVER buy VanillaVisaGiftcards!

There are MANY other giftcards out there to chose from. You always want to chose a card that gives you the option to register the card online so you can use it to make online purchases & that has a good customer service support. VanillaVisa Giftcard has NONE of this, the customer reps are literally the dumbest people I’ve ever had the displeasure of speaking to & they offered not 1 speck of any help in any way. I waited over an hour on hold to have the most frustrating conversations of my life!

I am still trying to get help with the fraud on my fathers VANILLAVISA GiftCard so after 7-22-23 I have to call them back to see if they will do something about the fraudulent charges on the brand new card.

I know how the scam works and who does it

Got a 250$ card that was impossible to register 4 online purchases then I noticed the card was peeling off obviusly what I got was a printed sticker and a fake number, The only reall number is on the back that is used to activate the card, once you do that you have loaded the card with your money at the point of purchase but don't have access to it since you don't have the corresponding card number or incomplete number usually 3 digits making it impossible to find this is why nobudy is reporting single missing number.
This is not a print error, firts of all it is extremely hard to print on plastic the printers used to pint on plastic don't make mistakes
This is the scam, you load the money but you can't spend since you don't have the card number, so who has it

3 possibilities

1 Who ever is restocking
2 Sombody is taking, altering & returning
3 The Gift Card Company

Let's narrow it down by eliminating the impossible

The problem is to big it's impossible for a person or gang to cover USA and Canada same goes for a guys who restock the cards. Also to make the scam work the card needs to be checked if it's active constantly or it will be blocked once the customer makes the call. How do you do that if you have multiple cards?

THE FACT THAT VANILLA CARD IS NOT MAKING ANY CHANGES TO THE CARD IT SELF IS THE PROOF

The very first reported issue a legitimate company will make changes to stop the bad guys exploiting the obvius vulnerability unless you are the bad guy!

I got my card from Wal-Mart it has been 2 months since I reported this to customar serviced wasting 2 hrs
Next day I reported this to Walmart, big surprise the girl at the store knows all about it, she actually pointed out it was a printed sticker that means Wal-Mart knows all about this scam. It's simply wrong to screw a customer 4 hundreds of $ and much worse TIME to deal with this bul$#*! only to make 5$ on card activation. This cards are restocked by a 3th party free of charge, zero investment, zero responsibility! Screw that I will go to Walmart get sombody who is in charge and ask for my money or ill walk out the store evry time I visit for a total of *******$ thats 50x the amount I lost its the same ratio what Wal-Mart made of me knowing that I might lose 50x more.
I'm not actually going to do that but it will make Wal-Mart think twice about the problem. Who knows maybe I get my money back

I got a gift card in January the card was hacked and was told it was gonna be replaced and & would be back on it February 18th 2023 it wasn't and as of march 14th 2023 still no card or $ every time i call i get hung up on cant login to the account on the website. I get a different story today 3/14/23 i was told i had to get ahold of Walgreen's bc that's where it was purchased and they couldn't do anything, but yet the card was hacked and the $252.50 still not on the card or haven't got a new card. Worst ever never again will i get one of these. The hold time is extremely long, then u get hung up on so unprofessional...they are SCAMMERS AND DONT WANNA GIVE YOU YOURE MONEY BACK...i have names agents id #and times of when ive called in nothing has been accomplished

replace and refund the $252.50 to my card as i was promised and guartneed but hasnt happen yet, also better customer service dont get hung up on and a call back would be nice and the priblem would be great nut you cant get that from scammers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scam! Fraud! Beware!

I purchased 8 gift cards. 3 of them for $50,1 for $70 and 4 for $500. I have had nothing but problems since I purchased them. I gave the smaller ones to my employees for a small appreciation and kept the other 4 larger ones to pay bills in the office. The guys kept telling me that they were having problems using their cards. I then went online to see the balance, and all was fine. They all showed a balance. 3 of the guys took there's back and said they would just use them online the other guy with the $70 gave me his to keep and maybe get a replacement. So, on one of the $500 card I paid the cell bill of $174.74 and one another $500 card I paid the commercial auto and another small bill. That pretty much ate all of that amount up. So, on the card that I paid the cell bill with I should've had $325.26 left. I went to go use it and it was denied. I then went on the website to check the balance and it said the card was no good. So, I called. I was on hold for about 15mins before I got to talk to someone. She told me that the card had been reported stolen, so they issue a new card. I asked to who? How is it stolen when I have the physical card, the receipt and the credit card they were purchased with. She said because of privacy issue she can't tell me anything and that I could make a report and have a new card issued in 45-90 days. I told her that makes no sense since I purchased these cards on October 13th and they had already issued a new card to someone else, but they clearly didn't have to wait 45-90 days. I asked to speak to a manager. They put me on hold for almost an hour. The "manager" finally got on the phone, I told her how long I was waiting, and she said they were busy, at first before reading these comments I told her how busy you can actually be. So, I proceeded to explain once again what happened and she said she would send the paperwork for me to fill out to get a new card issued. So, she asked the name to mail it to, I told her my company name she said no your name, I explained they were purchased for a company, on a company credit card so to mail them to the company, well she hung up on me and now I can't get through. I then went to check the balance on the other 2 $500 cards, and nothing is left on them. Someone used them at Target at 2 in the morning. I am out $1,339 total for this and can get no answer from anyone. I will never use this card again; I will tell everyone how fraudulent this company is and am going to file some kind of complaint with the BBB and am going to talk to my lawyer about filling a claim.

Find a different gift card. This card is a fraud and trying to talk to someone, well good luck. The phone number on the back of the card just circles around the prompts, never gives you an option to talk to someone just redirects you back to the website. As soon as you put your information into the website card is stolen.
