Started this book shopping for school and some sites are stupid hard to navigate prices were too high... Anyway, I found my way to this site and got both books at a decent price and expedited shipping which was cool. Thanks!
Valorebooks.com is the worse excuse for a middle man. Their shipping speeds barely equal that of the early American pony express. You pay the same cost of standard shipping and receive it weeks later than standard speeds. They're customer service matches that of a socially frightened robot. First they ask you to contact the seller for questions before contacting them. Once the seller never responds and you do contact valorebooks, they send you a response thats copied and pasted from their FAQ section on the topic of your concern and soes not address your particular problem or question. Never use this site. Chegg.com is a much better service oriented provider for book purchases and rentals.
Don't sell anything using this company. It is a scam. They will offer you money for your books to hook you up to later only accept a couple of them. Good luck with getting your books back. I have 2 orders ******* and ******* in that situation from september and until this date I have yet seen either my books returned or the money for both transactions. Shame on you valorebooks.com"
The order form only lets you type in the street address portion, and then uses google maps to fill in the zip code, city and state. This doesn't work because for many college students they have PO boxes through their university which have different addresses than the street address. I was forced to enter an incorrect address and now I'm just hoping the textbook gets here on time.
I hate to say it but this company cannot live up to its promise. The online system was unresponsive and slow. After three attempts the system said, "order accepted". I got an email indicating the order is being processed. The about 10 days later my order was cancelled. Suggest saving yourself time and frustration. Look elsewhere for your books.
Twice they've canceled my book orders with no explanation. Both were for big price differentials, which makes me think the prices were in error or a bait & switch. I don't use them anymore, and the same goes for Abe Books. Use eBay or Amazon instead.
Hello Gary, our apologies for the poor buying experience using our site. In the future please notify our support team at cs@valorebooks.com right away so we can resolve any issues promptly.
I can work it and its cheaper than other sites. Still though textbooks should be this cheap to begin with so I hate their profit model of buying books from poor kids for practically nothing and then making money off them.
A much needed text book that was listed under "rent textbooks" was in fact for purchase ONLY! And costly. I also found it odd that the used textbooks were less expensive than the ones listed as new... hmm? I ordered from this site mainly because all of my other required books were here are well.
Easy ordering, easy site to navigate. Will reserve a higher rating until after I receive delivery of ordered item. Always love discovering new places to purchase books. Reading is as necessary as breathing for me. Hope to do more business with this co. In the future.
The search engine works bet with a moderate about of info but nothing too specific. Also checkout has a glitch that unless you use an auto filler, will not allow you to click and manually enter State or Zip which is needed to checkout!
I've never had luck finding listing that state whether or not supplemental materials are included. I was able to find some great prices on used listings that clearly stated that the supplements will be included. Thank you!
Thank you so much for providing such great prices for those of us who have to buy their own books! I will definitely continue buying textbooks from this site and recommend it to my friends and acquaintances.
I have saved hundreds of dollars on textbooks for college using this website. They are highly reliable and I am always notified when my book is supposed to arrive. It also has fast shipping which is perfect since school doesn't normally tell us which books to buy until a week and a half before school starts.
This was my first experience buying from ValoreBooks. Wish I'd heard about them before I bought textbooks at the college bookstore or Amazon. I saved more than $100 on ONE textbook.
I just finished my order and found it very easy to place order and pay with a credit card. I'll add more details when I receive the book.
Thank you for the convenience of your ValoreBooks website! I ordered several of my text books at this site because they were less expensive and there was more variety of used books from which to choose.
The prices on the books were great. However, as many other reviews mention, their shopping cart is a mess. It intentionally uses Google Maps to populate the City, State and Zip. And it GM can't get it right, sorry about your luck. No manually changing those fields. Even the customer service people say they can't change it. And this is intentional. I had to use a neighbors address to place my order. The customer service chat was fast and friendly, just not able to do anything about the system. Now lets hope all the books I ordered get delivered without any issues.
I haven't received a book from ValoreBooks yet so I can't comment on the books. The order and payment page is really bad. If you don't let the system auto populate after filling in the address, it locks you out of the city, state and zip code fields. Who designed this mess? At first glance it appears that you can't place an order. A Google search revealed the solution as others have had this same problem many times. You may want to fix that page.
I ordered two different textbooks at the same time. One was processed and was shipped, while the order for the second book was cancelled due to the specific title being "out of stock." So many college students like myself rely on the availability of certain books, affordable prices and a fast delivery. Usually valorebooks meets those expectations, which is appreciated. But this time those expectations were met halfway.
Same city, state, zip issues. They want you to use their drop down 'guess' address menu instead of letting you enter it in. This is not a normal data field entry selection for most people and I almost gave up. They're surely missing out on a lot of orders from people who don't try it again and by chance click on the little pop up when putting in the street to make it fill out the rest.
This book cost $155.17 new but I was able to rent it for $39! Can't do better than that! The used books were $13-$17 more than renting. I wish I would have found ValoreBooks years ago! I've never had a problem getting the book or filling out the order/payment form.
Answer: DONT DO IT! This place is shady with business. They may or may not send you the products or even your money. It seems like a great website with great reviews, but dont be fooled
ValoreBooks has a rating of 3.6 stars from 1,577 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with ValoreBooks most frequently mention great prices, good condition and college student. ValoreBooks ranks 5th among Textbook Rentals sites.
Hi there! To input a PO box into our address field, you need to put the street of the post office in the first line. This lets us know what post office you're using. The PO Box number goes in the second line. If you have further questions or would like assistance with this process, let us know!
