Worst vacation

I rented in Myrtle beach worst experience ever place from the 90s dirty the furniture broke blood on the blankets complained and ask for my money back and was told no don't rent here they could care less of you they get there money and your done I didn't even get towels and toilet paper for a weeks stay! Worst vacation I waited 2yrs for this mess

I rented a condo with Vacasa in Steamboat Colorado. Upon arrival, the property was in unlivable condition, hot stuffy air, temperature over 90 degrees, no air conditioning and no air movement. I called Vacasa to tell them that these are impossible to live and dangerous conditions. Their customer service is close to non existent. So called manager Ashley was rude on the phone and refused to provide me with a refund. I lost over $800, but because it was impossible to live there I had no choice other than move out. I read negative reviews about Vacasa's poor customer dupport before, but I didn't realize it was so bad. You can't reason with them, they are after your money, no customer satisfaction in mind.

Hello Anna! We are terribly sorry for the unlivable condition of the condo! There are quite a few homes without AC listed as an amenity and we apologize for any misunderstanding. Our condos and homes have undergone upgrades and updates to give our guests a more comfortable experience.

We came into the condo with both bathrooms not draining at all. After a promise to fix on day 1 day 2 Vacsa sent maintenance in. That night my son almost fell in the shower due to the tub being so slick. The following day I did fall, cut my head open on the faucet which resulted in a trip to the ER with 5 staples in my head. This happened on day 3 of our 7 day vacation ending all water activities for me. I've called twice to get a non slip mat in the tub and to fill out and incident report and no call back. Got a handful of bathmats (helpful OUTSIDE the shower) left at the door though. The tub has nothing in it for security and everyone is afraid to use it. I've attempted to call again and I've sent 2 emails, both of which have bounced back. If someone else falls showering on this trip it's going to be 100% on them as we have requested help multiple times. I'm still in shock that no one has reached out or considered the liability here.

We received a phone call from Vacassa about cancelation of rental condo in Panama City Beach, FL just 2 days before it should start. They offer us different entail homes but all of them were far away from sea front with less bedrooms and bathrooms and of poor quality and amenities. We refused and asked for refund and they assured us that they would give us a full refund. However, we received only a half of it. And it's really hard to communicate with them, once they get money they are very reluctant to answer a phone...
We had a horrible experience dealing with Vacassa, in fact they ruined our vacation and robbed us on $800!
Never do any business with them, never ever!

Can't give a zero

They have serious issues when they have the same excuse for 4 different cards from 3 people trying to rent. Feel sorry for the owners that use them. Glass 303 you need to complain about the loss of revenue. I will never use Vacasa well never try to use them again

I changed my mind, I think I will give Vacasa another chance! Because my trip didn't have roaches, animals mice … the house was very clean and quite honestly that's what's important! The stupid minor things just aren't! After the pool was cleaned and I used. It! It was awesome! Their prices are great and I am allowed to change my mind! They didn't offer me anything to change my mind! Because I have my own mind and no one can change it except me! And I did! So for me, Vacasa is actually ok! And they helped me when I asked!

I will make this short and sweet! I use Airbnb to travel! I love them! They work for me & have made all my trips great! Now here is the total opposite - Vacasa who unfortunately is a management company that goes through Airbnb and have their own site!
I booked a 3 day trip to Palm Springs with my mom, who I almost lost this year and my 9 years old nephew!
I always say the house is not the problem it's the people running it!
Got a text from Vacasa saying house is guest ready! Cool, we are here!
1 code given for garage not correct
2 alarms go off as soon as we get in front door ( after fighting with a jammed door lock for 5 min) motion detected, motion detected! Never told about alarm! 15 min of ear bleeding pain, call Vacasa customer service and she gives me the code to the garage? Of coarse it doesn't work! It didn't even work for the garage!?
Finally stops she called somebody!
Nice clean house, I liked it! Comfortable!
Ready for the pool, remember this is Palm Springs, weather today is 112!
Go to pool! Water doesn't look clean! All furniture covered! No umbrellas, 1 in garage
No movement of water, pool filtration off? Still dirty water

The representative just unresponsively told me that the property I inquired doesn't allow short-term rental, which is totally wrong. And she even said, "at this point, I have to end this call, because I don't think this conversation is going to be productive".

Before hanging up the call, I just said you should be responsible for everything you said to the client, you need to know the fact really well before you even say that, it just shows how unprofessional you are.

Not Clean

Place was not clean which is important during COVID. There were no sheets for the sofa bed, the blankets in the closet had crusty white debris on it. There is no ac in the bedroom. The comforter on the bed looks like it has not been washed in years. There is not a washer and dryer in the condo, which was promised. There are homeless people in the parking lot. Very disappointing

Booked vacation one year out for a wedding and our timeshare occupied by the owner's friend. Apparently, a Vacassa software mistake but none could tell us for sure what the cause of the reservation issue was. Vacassa took many phone calls to find us another stay at a neighboring hotel which was done through booking.com. However we ended up paying the bill and Vacassa still has not reimbursed us. I would seek legal counsel if this situation was direr but we are in limbo for the time being. As a property owner who will someday use a company comparable to Vacassa, I will make sure to deep dive into these types of reviews before I chose a company like this to represent us. What a nightmare to have paid 400$ for a rental then it be occupied and then you end paying 500$ out of pocket on top of that to secure a place. And meanwhile, the parent company won't reimburse you until the transaction gets approved.

We booked a family vacation to Destin Florida and booked a Vacassa property. Upon arrival we were immediately frustrated as the listing that we booked through Airbnb was totally misleading. We arrived to find a trash property that they had basically put lipstick on a pig and rented it out for WAY TOO MUCH money! The bathroom sink upstairs was clogged, the bathtub barely drained, the toilet seat was loose, the bedroom lights wouldn't turn on, the beds were like sleeping on cots abs I could just go on and on about the property and how terrible it was. On our second day of stay we realize it took 8 hours to do one load of laundry in the washer/dryer combo unit that was in the townhouse. Our clothes got stuck in the washer and we had to call maintenance to come get it open and the clothes were still drenched! I ended up having to go spend a whole afternoon at the laundromat because they Pilsner do anything to fix the washer or have anywhere for us to relocate. We requested a refund or to be moved to a different property. Of course there was no available properties for them to move us to so we are requesting a refund. They are telling us they will comp us $300 but we will be requesting a FULL REFUND! I have never been more frustrated with a rented property in my life. This is ridiculous I'm not sure how they can keep a business going like this.

The place we booked looked very nice online. We were even called by the company in advance to go over details. We were told that if we were cold natured to bring our own blankets bc there were none provided. So we did.

When we arrived, we were greeted at the door by ALL the trash from the previous renters. I called to ask if they wanted me to roll it out to the street. They said yes.

The outlet in the upstairs bath does not work. Fine, we used one in the bedroom. The bathroom sink barely drains. But the kicker was the AC barely worked. I called 4 times as we watched the temp go to 80 in the house. Thankfully there were ceiling fans and we made it through the night. They sent someone the next day. When we got back, there were air filters left on a table. I can't tell that anything was done. It's 78 now. I called back. They are sorry…there is nothing else they can do. So very disappointed. Vacasa did not deliver at all.

We had an opportunity to stay elsewhere and now am wishing we had. This is the only and LAST time I'll ever use this company. I sent an extensive email, with pictures. No response yet. I wonder if anyone ever will respond.

Save your money…use someone else! If I could give 0 stars and leave that as a review, I would.

What was advertised was NOT what we got. Customer service was the worst I have ever experiences, as we were hung up on MULTIPLE times. Now they won't even consider a refund because I disputed with my credit card company. Do yourself a favor if you had a horrible experience: write as many reviews as possible, dispute with your credit card company, report them to the BBB.

The listing was not what we got, their customer service reps hung up on us MULTIPLE times. They lied about everything and talked in circles. If this has happened to you, call your credit card company to issue and charge back immediately. Also, report them to the better business bureau. I could write a book on all the wrong they did. Report them!

Booking in VRBO

Beware that this MANAGEMENT company represents owners on VRBO I had a terrible experience with them. I booked a propery on VRBO that was Seriously misrepresented, the place was old tired and filthy I couldnt even stay in the property. I notified them IMMEDIATLEY and they still will not refund my money. I am working with VRBO directly just to write a review on VRBO about this property as I believe VACASA is blocking me from writing the review.

We Got Scammed
July 16, 2021

My partner and I were supposed to stay in this beach house rental for his birthday. The agent only allowed us to check in at 4pm on a Saturday and check out at 10am on a Monday. This is not standard check-in practice but we went along with it. We saw photos of the rental and sadly it looked like people had just arranged a mash-up of Craigslist furniture with mis-matched bedding. Keep in mind this 1-day rental cost over $600! We ended up having a health emergency and called a customer service rep right away (48 hours prior to the check in date). We were told to purchase the $45 insurance policy and were then *guaranteed* that a refund would be given after cancellation had gone through because having the insurance was beneficial. After a few hours on the line with a VaCasa rep and a rep from VRBO, we filled out the cancellation form. The next day we called the insurance company to file a claim becuase the money had not yet returned to the account. We were then told that there was nothing that the insurance company could do to give us back the $600+ we were charged for a rental we never stayed in. We are also unable to un-cancel and just use the rental even though one of us is ill. I am appalled that a vacation rental company would be able to integrate loopholes within their policy and then refer their customers to two more policies that don't correlate with each other at all. We are now being asked to have a doctor's note to prove that we had a health emergency. I have rented places all along the west coast and have never run into this before. Usually, the customer just pays a cancellation fee or booking fee and goes on about their day. Before choosing VaCasa, read ALL THREE policies and you'll see that they do not hold the best interest for the customer, they serve to line the pockets of the estate agents. This is a truly medeival company and I am mortified that I got scammed by them after years of positive experiences as a renter.

Absolutely horrible

We will NEVER rent from them again. This is for Leavenworth, WA area. Horrible communication. Dirty home (pee on the floor, a used pot filled with oil, hair in the shower, dust everywhere, stains everywhere, old beat up furniture, downstairs basement smelled HORRIBLE) a broken hot tub, missing things like: washcloths, dishcloths, etc. I forgot an item that I have to pay $25 for them to find. It's been several days and no response. I tried calling again and she's saying they aren't even reaching out to HER. We paid so much money and for what. Horrible customer service. Run! Do not use them for anything. Reporting to BBB.

HORRIBLE. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I have been renting a vacation home in Ocean City MD for 25 years and I have never ever experienced such a debacle. There is no one local to speak with so when you try to reach someone, you're calling their general number and receive a generic response. No personal customer service at all. We were forced to wait until 4:00 in order to receive the keys to our rental. Not a minute sooner. There were hundreds of people in the same line that flowed out to the main road. Then came the rains while we all waited to walk up to the "window" to get our keys. Totally unacceptable. Once we got into the unit, we learned the unit had not been cleaned. Really? And no one warned us. We had to call the customer service number to report it. They finally sent out a 2 person team to clean a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom unit AFTER 6:00 pm. Needless to say, nothing was sanitized because it was a rush job. My family ended up cleaning more than the cleaning service. Yet when I asked to be refunded for the 1 night stay (out of our 7 night stay), I was told that their policy is that the cleaning crew has until 8:00 pm to show up before Vacasa would consider a refund for the 1 night. We lost a whole day of our vacation yet Vacasa stands by this outrageous policy and refuses to refund me for the 1 night. My son and I ended up sick by the end of our stay and I am convinced it's a result of the disgusting condition of the rental unit. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

So disappointed with Vacasa. We had a terrible experience with them this week for home rental in Galveston for Galveston Beachfront Hacienda. Home was not clean, slider did not work, shower did not work, trash not taken out. In addition, kitchen pans not cleaned and freezer smelled of fish. Literally ruined our vacation. No response after multiple calls. Will never rent through them again. Our experience was zero focus on customer service or providing quality service to renters.

Beware of Vacasa
July 13, 2021

I scheduled a trip to Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina for a week in July. The reservation was at Glenwood K40.
I did not notice that air conditioning wasn't listed in the amenities when I made the reservation. This is the South. We assume everywhere has air conditioning.
We arrived at Glenwood K40 about 11pm. The place was stifling hot and humid inside. The thermostat read 86 degrees. There were fans but no central air conditioner. The fans did absolutely nothing to lower the temperature inside the place.
I called Vacasa customer service about the heat and was told there was nothing to be done about it. No refund. No one would bring a window unit. I told them that it was difficult to breathe in that heat and humidity but they refused to help in any way.
I had to leave and drive 6 hours back home because I couldn't tolerate the heat.
Yes, it was in the 70s outside but, even with windows open and fans in, the inside temp didn't get below 82 degrees.
My family members decided to stay but they couldn't tolerate the heat after two nights and they left to come home early, also.
I talked with Vacasa three times. I called Booking. Com and they also contacted Vacasa. I was repeatedly refused a refund and was refused a window unit.
I wasted over $1400 on this reservation. I am heartsick about it. Please heed my warning and do not book with Vacasa. There are much better property management companies out there to do business with than vacasa.
