Buyer beware! Uncrate hides taxes and duties in their delivery options. I bought a pair of shoes for £330 and got hit with £140 in additional taxes and duties after purchase that I could not refuse. Uncrate was most unhelpful in my attempts to resolve the situation.
Made for people who have too much money and not enough braincells. You are to blame for high prices on normal, everyday, simple items. Just because it has a stupidly high price on it doesn't make it the best...
Many sites curate content, but it's not easy to keep users interested and engaged day after day. Uncrate is always a go-to source of what's new and interesting for guys.
Put my info in and ordered a phone and the over next several days they drained all the money I had on my card on sketchy websites in India. Over $1500 stolen off my card after using this website. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE
Like every other daughter on the planet, when it comes to birthdays and holidays my dad takes the cake for being the hardest man alive to shop for. I'm not one of those people that likes to get people what's on their list; half the fun of a gift is the hunt. Except, of course, when the hunt becomes a wild goose chase for the perfect fit.
The buck stops with uncrate.com. Talk about an awesome concept! A website that reviews and advertises products specifically for men in every facet of manly living. The vendors are high quality, the gifts are classy with some bacon-flavored humor thrown in the mix. They really advocate everything from cars to whiskey stones. I ended up buying my dad this great beer glass set (he microbrews, this was perfect!) and uncrate.com directly routed me to the vendors website to the product I was looking for. There was no hopeless searching, uncrate integrated seamlessly with the vendor's purchase process. My glass set arrive unscathed, perfectly packaged and in plenty of time.
So the next time you're stuck on what to get the men in your life, check out uncrate.com and rejoice at the end of aimless, unproductive trips to the mall.
I have been a follower of Uncrate since 2007 (or 2008 wtv) basically approx. 15 yrs, with all of the sites available I would call that pretty loyal.
I've made several purchases, and not all have been precisely what I expected but I'm not going to go Karen on anyone's a$$ because of it.
Recently I made a purchase of a pair of men's slides that weren't true to size but I'll live with them for a season or two, I also purchased a pair of men's polarized sunglasses, inexpensive, 100$ approx., I opened the packaging, pretty basic, made in Italy (I don't think so), tried them on and they were too tight on the temples, just too small for me. I put everything back in it's original packaging, looked into how to return an item for an exchange or refund, in my case it was going to be a refund, and I see that on 100$ purchase I was being charged 50$ processing fee (give or take a few cents). So I contacted Uncrate and about 48hrs later I'm contacted by email and told this is not a processing fee it's wtv wtv wtv, I don't even remember. So, yeh...If I paid the processing fee it would have cost me 50$ to try on a pair of sunglasses, I kept the sunglasses and will give them away to someone but this was to show you how a 15 yr Uncrate follower is treated, like $#!t. I will no longer follow this site and I will definitely be taking a lot of other followers with me.
Uncrate wake up or shutdown.
Some items not delivered; if you email to follow up, you'd be lucky to get a response beyond the "we shall attend to you shortly" auto response.
I have been buying/collecting camera's since I am a teenager, and have published photography and been in exhibits. I ordered a camera from Uncrate in July 2024. I was aware it might take a few months to arrive. As no one bothered to ever update me, I emailed diligently to check on the status of my order, once a month. On August 5th 2024, I received an email confirming they had received a few units, and that I was at the time "4th in line". During the autumn, as I kept checking in, they confirmed on 3 occasions they had received a unit. Hence, when I asked them in December, and again in January, to confirm I was next in line, I was surprised to be told that I was still "4th in line". They provide new excuses, run around (read: lies), in each communication. They do not have the courtesy to sign the communication from an individual (it comes from "Quartermaster"). This is the most dishonest, disorganized, unreliable seller I have encountered online. Really sad.
