Nothing much to say. Solid product. Was hoping for a saber with sound but thats the thing with mystery sabers. It's very cool for a stunt saber.
Purchasing was relatively straightforward, except for the fact that in the checkout window, I could not see what edits I made to the saber. Received the Dark Initiate V4 stunt saber in Consular Green and Black Non-Illuminated AV Switch. With the Standard Ultra Edge Heavy Grade 32" Blade, and with the 10% off discount, I saved a bit on the saber than if I would have customized the saber as such, although the base saber without those additions is cheaper than the grab bag.
I ordered a saber for a future cosplay and Im thrilled with the result. The build process on the site is rather long, but its good at explaining the different options and why you might want to choose each one. Its necessary, anyway, since theres lots of ways you could go with building these things. I had no problems with the ordering or shipping process and it arrived quickly. A signature was required for delivery, which I appreciate, because even though my building is safe and Ive never had a problem, I still dont want a $200 purchase laying around. Seems like a lot of companies skimp on that these daysI bought a $1000 laptop earlier this year and it was left outside! The saber was packed very well and care was obviously given to make sure everything arrived safely. The saber itself is beautiful and is well balance and comfortable to hold. The blade looks terrific lit up and Im sure its going to photograph well. Im already thinking ahead to future cosplays and when the time comes to buy more sabers, Im going to stick with Ultra Sabers.
I placed an order with Ultra Sabers, Order Number *******. I received my Saber order last friday the 25 of May but to find several errors with my order.
What I selected and what is on the order is not correct. There are 4 problems with my order.
1) Incorrect LED color. I selected Blazing Red, I received Blue.
2) Incorrect CLAW color. I selected Sliver, I received Black.
3) Incorrect Activation Switch. I selected Sliver Non-Illuminated, I received Black Guarded
4) Incorrect Blade Option, I selected Ultra Edge Heavy Grade, I received Ultra Edge MidGrade
The mysterybox cost $200 and the saber I got is only priced at $185 according to their website. I could have saved money by just ordering it myself.
The purchases i have made from Ultra Sabers have been solid working exactly as advertised. I had a issue of a missing blade retention screw but customer service could not of been friendlier in resolving it.
