Bought the mystery box at Megacon for $90 and ended up for a $400 saber. 10/10 would gamble again.

I bought a saber at Megacon and while I enjoy my product, the staff seemed gruff. Any question I asked seemed like it had been answered a hundred times. You could hear that in the voices of the staff instead of trying to create a great customer experience.

For the most part my new saber is gorgeous and I'm super excited to have it. I got a stunt with basic sound, and absolutely love it. But there are a few cosmetic issues that are taking a while to address - including 2 incorrect parts. My excitement is diminished by the slow or lack or communication.
I received my saber, but the covertec wheel and pommel we're not what I ordered - both were the wrong color. The pommel I selected from the drop down menu, whereas I typed the covertec wheel request into the order notes (and yes, I did check my original order to verify what color I ordered)
I also requested in the notes that the wheel be installed on the right side, but I received the saber with it on the left. The email I got back from customer service said the hole is predrilled on the model I got. Not a huge deal, but would have been nice to receive some communication after everything on the site talks about customizing sabers.
In addition, there is a long scratch going up from the AV switch and a small crecent divit in the metal.
I already emailed, and honestly I'm not impressed by the customer service - no matter how quickly I reply I only recive 1 email a day, which makes it very slow back and forth, and when I tried calling to talk to someone live they said I had to email.
My 2 choices for the scratch and divit were to pay to ship the saber back for repairs or to purchase metal polish and try to buff it out. I don't know if I'm going to do either option due to the extra expenses. Still waiting to hear how to get my correct pommel and covertec wheel that I ordered.
Edit: just hear back from UltraSaber - they will refund my shipping up to $15 once they verify the defect.

The saber I ordered was exactly to spec and fully assembled. It looks great and I'm surprised (in a good way) that it was ready to go out of the box (batteries included and installed)!
And my saber arrived very quickly after I placed my order (I paid for ground shipping)!

Answer: Hello Dale R. What I can tell you is that Ultrasabers reside in Texas and I live in Southern Québec, in Canada. It took about 4 days for the two Sabers I ordered to get to me. That is extremely fast by my experience. I've been doing mail orders since 1995, between once a month to 4 times a year. In that time, I have never seen such speed. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes as far as I know all the hilts are made from aircraft aluminum
Answer: Currently it says they have a 4 week lead time meaning it should take 4 weeks to complete. However this is not accurate. I recently received an email saying that they were updating their lead times to be more accurate. Back to your question though. As you know we are stuck in a pandemic. This makes it hard for their providers to give them all the parts they need. So, it takes at least a couple more weeks currently to finish orders.

Answer: Yup they are from the USofA - I got mine from them, Im based in Australia so I had the same concerns - but the customer service it outstanding. They are expensive but well worth it!
