Am very disappointed and angry that you as a company think it's ok to operate like this and treat customers with complétée contempt. Firstly it was almost impossible to buy what I wanted from you as it's a specialist thing which I'd would've like to speak to a member of staff about but of course you don't have a phone number. I had to go in store on the Tuesday and a helpful guy showed me what I needed for my sons 9th birthday this 12th dec. I ordered it to which my son was very excited and couldn't wait he kept asking me when's it coming dad and Wednesday came and went no notification Thursday came and went no notification and then to my complete shock I receive an email saying you've cancelled my order and oh by the way might be 10 working days before I get my money back. That is a disgusting way to treat anyone and thank you for upsetting my son and spoiling his birthday. Never ever again will I use your company again shocking.
I bought 4 dvds from Cex online through my own laziness and i regret doing so as i am still waiting after ordering the dvds last week and plus te devlivery is £1.95 per item, i dont know why they dont put them all in one bag etc and plus the postage cost is more expensive that the price of 2 of the dvds, normally i just go to CEX in town and just buy from the store but was being lazy so its my own fault, however i will never buy online from CEX again, it will be in the store as i always have done up until this lazy and expensive moment because i think that CEX are brilliant for games, phones, laptops, gaming consoles and dvds all of which i have purchased from CEX, word of advice if you want to buy from CEX go to the shop and buy cos the post and packaging is so expensive.

I got a couple of games from cex every single disc I put into my Xbox had some problem installing and when they finished i would load the game and it would stop working at any random point got beats from cex and I can already only hear music from the left side cex are terrible just go to game or eBay

I've used to like Cex, but changed my mind after this experience. I've placed an order for £525 GPU 1 week ago. Received wrong tracking number. When I've contacted support they send me unrelated generic message about large letter items. Until now I don't even have valid tracking number after getting in touch 4 days ago. Pathetic service.
I sold a huawei p30 lite phone 4 weeks ago to CEX took to a branch in Salford. They said they will pay with a bank transfer to my bank account, I have not receibved the payment for my phone. I contacted them 3weeks ago enquiring why they did not pay me. A person called Amit replied back to email and said that the payment was made to my account showing me a a receipt with last 4 digits of my account and sort code. I sent my bank statement as proof no payment was received. Amit answered back saying that the payment was made to a different bank account as i had entered incorrect information. Lying through his teeth as he himself sent the payment of receipt showing was made to my account. I have still not been paid by this Fraudulent company.

I ordered 10 DVD movies from the CEX website last month. 2 DVDs were completely incorrect. 1 DVD had a cover that had been unevenly cut at the sides with scissors. 1 DVD was scratched and wouldn't play. 1 DVD was not sent at all because CEX had (illegally) photocopied its cover and would only sell it in store even though it was listed for sale online.
Their customer service is virtually non-existent. They have no phone number that connects to anything besides a recording directing you to their website. You can send them a message and you might get a robotic reply a few days later.

Bought in an expensive DSLR to sell as thought it would be easier and quicker compared to selling on eBay etc. What an absolute waste of time! Took the camera on Sunday. Another Sunday has just come and I haven't been paid. The camera works fine. I'm not sure if they are still yet to test it or they just don't know what they are doing since the store is run by kids.

Most people come to this business because they need money or need a phone etc but can't afford the full sale prices.The website is also very misleading. They don't even follow their own policies. Ie test within 15 mins, bank transfer within one day etc. It's not true at all.

Ordered a ps2 game for my birthday 38£ silent hill. What came was a linx 8£ keyboard. To say I was gutted was an understatement.Id waited a whole week then to receive something totally unrelated just summed up the care that went into processing my order.Im now in the cycle of sending back the item to either get my game or a refund which can take up to 14days. There response was, after we've checked the item! I never needed a plug in keyboard as I don't have a linx pad cex. I just wanted my ps2 game! I'm still quite angry/upset.Ive bought lots of items from cex and generally I've had no bother. But the customer service is non existent! No number to call, all automated and all left to the consumer to sort there mess up. They will have have gotten my unwanted item back yesterday and I've still not had a reply to say if I'm getting my game. Bought a laptop with 2 year warranty. Six months later developed a fault with a hinge. Was informed it wasnt covered by warranty as the laptop wasnt in the condition we sold it to you.! Of course it wasnt that is the problem the hinge has developed a fault. Awful company
Sent my phone in as they advertise that they buy your older phones. They rejected it and never sent it back. To then advise it has nothing to do with them. So I am at a loss for even doing business with them. Stay away unless you want these thieves to have away with your products for free.
I bought a Pixel 4a through Cex six months ago. After a couple of months I found that the phone was not responding to touch very well and there are certain letters and numbers that just won't work at all. It means sending messages takes ages and trying to watch anything through my Chromecast on TV is an arduous task. Basically, the phone is not fit for purpose. I drove all the way to a shop (10 miles away from where I live) to discuss the problems with this phone as it clearly says it has a 2 year warrantee. The assistant took one look at the phone and the two tiny, hairline cracks on the screen (which happened way after all the issues started) and point blank refused to do anything about it. I would say avoid this company like the plague, they are shafters. I don't consider paying £250 for a second hand phone cheap and I'm pretty sure they're in breach of trading standards. It is not worth it, keep away from them. I suspect most phones they sell start playing up soon after purchase.
