My son, currently a high school junior in Texas, takes dual credit and AP courses. There are times that he needs extra help understanding more advanced math concepts. He is able to utilize the TutorVista site to gain that knowledge. It is not a site that just gives the student the answer. Instead, they work step-by-step from the proper formula down to the answer. The student is expected to contribute, to the point they're capable, throughout the process. My son has become more confident and scored higher on tests as a result of this guidance. This is not just a useful tool for upper level math courses. Help is available for multiple subjects at many levels. We greatly appreciate the awesome tutors at TutorVista and highly recommend them! The majority of the time we have good tutors who are able to help us out. It is at times difficult to convey the issue we are having, but we typically find a way. There have been a couple of times where a tutor is just not understanding the issue, so we move on. We've had a couple of issues with time and billing, but they are willing to get the issue resolved.
In the end, this is very flexible and with the 24x7 uptime, there is always someone available to help us.

I SPENT 3 hours for 10 Questions and each tutor was only able to get 50% of the questions RIGHT. None of them could help me complete my hw. I am just as lost as I was when I start except now I lost 50 bucks and tons of time. Much of the time was taken up by tutors just reading the questions and sadly they would still get the answer wrong. I have to start my hw over 3 times because i was only permitted 3 questions wrong. What a pain in the $#*!? Use a more reliable site.

I've been been a very satisfied TutorVista customer, since May 2015. I've used their service for tutoring assistance in several college level math courses. I've found that all of the Tutors have been very patient, courteous and determined to explain the given material in order that I might truly understand the topic, rather than just knowing it through rote memorization.

No matter the time of day(or night), I can receive help for my math courses, which has been valuable beyond measure for me, since I live 60 miles away from my college campus math tutoring center. Even if I lived closer, I would still use them for the invaluable one-on-one assistance received. Any time and money spent with them is well worth it.

I plan on continuing being a TutorVista Customer for my Math/Science studies.

I hope all others have the same great experience, that I've had with them, as well as excellent course grades received as a result.

While the site claims that they can help with your questions anytime, I found that to be inaccurate and so I stopped using their service. What I learned from using the service was that if you really needed to prepare for an exam the next day, you should not expect to get all your hours done whenever you want to. There will be no one to help you whenever you exceed a certain amount of hours, even if you paid for it. No tutor will work on your lesson and you will wait indefinitely. I ended up doing bad on one of my exam because I relied on getting help from TutorVista and after 2 or 3 hours of tutoring, no tutor was willing to take my lesson. They are just unreliable and I would never trust them again with my money.

I have been using TutorVista for about two months. So, far I would rate this online tutoring average. Sometimes the tutor does not know how to solve the problem and if you tell them the answer key, and they got a different answer they will say "double check the answer with your teacher." Also, if you were already scheduled a session, the tutor did not show up. That happened to me more than three times. Overall, it is an ok online tutoring.

We have been longtime customer's with two different students in our household.
We preferred not being timed with minutes on the account because the main staff would interrupt the session asking questions but we had enough time to complete the task. T was just hard for the student to refocus when the session was interrupted. TutorVista should just email those questions to the parent and NOT interrupt the session between the tutor and student.
