This website is absolutely terrible. I made the mistake of subscribing, and every time I try to connect to a tutor, all the tutors are unavailable.
Huge language barrier and they don't honor their own policy when you request a refund. They ask you to request a refund using your online account but then they send you an email to call another number who is a 3rd party to make the request all over again. The are a fraud. Stay away from their site.
TERRIBLE! I mean one tutor LEFT saying her shift was OVER! And just left the session. Total waste of money. Their cheap but they suck. Most tutors dont even get it half the time
They are cheater. Do not sign for them they will rip you off. They will take the money from your account without your consent. They are in India and you will not get your money back. They ripped me off two times, I filed claim. But i did not anything back. Tutor have no experience. Just answering one question, they will take one hour. They are cheating with hundreds of innocent students, So do not sign free session, at the end they will make you buy subscription and then...
Don't waste your money. They are dumb and will not help you at all. It is better for you to read your textbook and learn. They will waste your time. They do not even know basic things and you will even end up teaching the tutor. Save your money.
Horrible service! Tried forcing me to sign up in order to start a session of one little question which I needed help with. Please don't waste time talking to their Academic Coordinator or subscribing with them. Plus, he or she tells me all the tutors are busy. Like seriously? Wow. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
I've been talking to the Manager for several hours now and am just getting a long sales pitch. My concern was the fact they over bill. When you use the trial, they will bill you for an additional month when the trial is up. During our discussion I decided to do some research and discovered they were not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. When I brought this up as an additional concern, I was flat out lied to and told they were accredited. When I showed proof of their F rating on the BBB website, as well as where it said they were not accredited, I was kicked from the session. But on to my point of this auto renewal clause. After about and hour of arguing I was finally offered a membership devoid of the auto renewal clause. It seems I was being bribed or hushed, or even goated into joining the website. I had discovered their real money maker with the auto renewal, so I was awarded the prize of not having to suffer it if I still signed up.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
They are bunch of Scam Artist from INDIA praying on United Stated College Students. They took my $50.00 for two question I had for my Chemistry Class and did not deliver the what they had promissed "right away " tutoring! They got back to me a week later that my account had been setup. By then I was done! DO not TRUST These INDIAN companies as they seek to rip off American People/ Students.
It was aterrible website, for the demo, the guy kept pushing me to buy it, when I told him I just wanted the tutor, he refused to give me a tutor.
It was a terrible site
But a few days ago I found a website called khan acadamy, it was free and the best site I've ever tried.
So if anyone needs a tutor go to khanacadamy.org
Do not waste you money on tutor next
When i was trying to find answers to my hw questions, i found this website and their online so-called tutor told me that they had a promotion and i only had to pay half the fees as i was the *******th custom. That makes me suspicious about this website, when i entered the web again posting another question, their tutor came and retold the same story. That confirmed my suspicion. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE. IT''S A CYBER SCAM
Its really help to my child. And she got 3% grade improvement through this wonderful! Online tutoring. I am really appreciate it
I was just about to pay for the service and decide to do a web review and found this site, Thank God! After reading everyone's comment's I called the 800 # number and everyone is right it is a full mailbox number you will never get a person on the other line, they just want your credit card # online. I ask them these questions and about the postings on this web site and they just cut my chat with tham off. Thanks for the info; YES! Stay away from this site..
This web site is a scam! Please be aware, you will be charged $199.99 every month and the customer service number is not a working number. You will get the message "This mailbox is full..." DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!
I found the tutor not so great at times. They even gave me wrong help at times. The issue was I purchased a week for 29,99 after telling them that I couldnt afford the 199.99 a month. They charged me for both and REFUSED to reimburse me. ILL NEVER REFER THIS SITE TO ANYONE ELSE! THEY RIPPED ME OFF!
This is a total scam of the worst kind. My son naively got involved with it in just one call. They started charging his credit card every month for $199.99US. It is run out of India. I finally did get a customer service person at *******516 (India) to say she would cancel it. We will see. Total scam.
WARNING! This site will rip you off! My grade 12 daughter needed help so I found this site online after trying the one week reduced rate of $19.99 they automatically autorenew for 99.99!. Even though the box was NOT checked off!. Currently in dispute with Visa. Not worth the aggravation. Beware!
I asked the tutor several college level electronics questions. Not only were they unable to answer them, the tutor could not even start them. I requested a refund of the initial trial fee and they never replied to my e-mail. I received my credit card statement this week and not only did they charge me for the one week trial they charged me for a whole year in addition. This is a scam and they just take your money without providing any reasonable services.
STAY AWAY FROM Tutornext.com!
I just did some surfing to help my son with his math. 5th grade math, angle measurement. Needed someone to explain it in a way he can understand. This site came up in one of my searches. They tried to pressure me into a $19.99 special for one week.
We had to leave for football practice in 3 minutes so I was like. Thanks for the info, I'll check it out later.
Then they said, "Wait a moment, why not now?" I said, "I have to leave for football."
"well this offer is only good this chat session only."
I just replied back with, "I'll take my chances, thank you."
Don't like high pressure sales. AT ALL. I didn't join and after reading these reviews... I'm very glad I didn't!
My name is Sanatomba And I wanted a stats tutor who can assist me after the horrendous work timings, And I found one here, to my astonishment all the claims found here wasn't true in my case, I am happy to have this service assist me through this college year.
This site is a total scam. They get you to sign up for a week or a month. You have 1 session with an OK tutor then you can never find another tutor again. Its worthless. There "customer care" email is worthless. They tell you they'll add tutors for you to schedule sessions but the sessions won't be available until after your subscription expires... which they try to get you again.
Don't fall for their BS. And if you do, report them to your credit card. They advertise tutors available 24/7. Total BS. I signed up for a month service and got a few days. Then for the past 3 weeks havent been able to get another tutor.
Had to go back and forth with "customer care" and finally said screw this company. I want my money back.
TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!
SO IS TUTORVISTA, its the same company scam.!
