They would get a Zero If I could give.2 days on hold, they have my taxes hostage, there program is corrupt for 2022 and they want access to my computer to see whats wrong? Are they nuts? Even their security department disagrees with that request. NEVER GIVE ACCESS TO ANYONE YOU DONT KNOW TO YOUR COMPUTER! I asked to escalate my complaint and they hang up on you because they don't want to admit they cant help you. They have stolen over 250 dollars of my money because I cant use their program and they refuse to make it work.Thieves, scammers and bad customer service.STAY AWAY

They have lost a great customer! They said it was like $39.00 my mony went to their bank and bomm they got that fee aka monies and tell me i have to wait 1 ro 2 days or more to get my refund WTF never again will i use them or anyplace that connected to them OVER! First. Than tell

Paid for the Full Service (top tier) option, but TurboTax did not enter my Local Tax of $942 as being paid, even though it was clearly on my W-2. This of course resulted in my account being debited $942. I'm not exaggerating when I say it took 7 reps over 4 weeks to figure out how to amend my taxes. Every rep I spoke with had no idea how the site worked, so 10-20-30 years worth of tax experience meant absolutely nothing because they were all seasonal workers (working from home) who don't know how to use the TurboTax site to amend a return. Each one made promise after promise knowing that as soon as they hung up with me, I'd have no way to ever contact them again. They'll communicate through a chat feature, but the chats disappear within a few days, so again, unless you take screen shots, you have no record of communication. I have never felt as angry with a company as I am currently with Intuit and TurboTax. If you want to speak with someone, you have to schedule a call which can be 4 days from when you want to speak with someone. And then when they call, they'll pass you from rep to rep, each of whom have you do the same thing the previous rep did, and it's infuriating. If you care about customer service, stay as far away as you can from this company.

Buyers beware. They screwed my tax return and now they will not fix it. They have zero customer service. You can not talk to no one. All you get is an automated system even thought I pay them $170.00

I have called, written, emailed and faxed every organization that I can that is somehow involved. Turbotax won't even speak to me about the accuracy guarantee because there isn't a line on my IRS letter showing fees but they deducted $4,000 saying it wasn't calculated properly so why am I not able to speak to CS with Turbotax on this? Can't reach the IRS to save my life or the tax advocate. So far I have lost $5,400 and NO ONE will even speak to me for me to find out why! Will NEVER use turbotax again and will tell the entire world that will listen not to use them.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years with little problem, buying a disk. This year, I purchased the Premier program on line. Some of the questions were not clear, eg "are you disabled?" I am. Later this was interpreted as being on disability, which I am not. There seemed no way to return to the earlier page and correct this, as had been in the past. I am retired, unemployed, but later asked in what province I was employed. Again, no way to go back to find what had prompted the question, and no way to go on until the faulty question was answered. When I tried to send in the return, it refused to send on the basis of an error that did not apply. So I printed and tried to do my wife's return. It seems I must have missed an earlier question as to whether I wanted to file a joint return, so I decided, as time was short, to just go ahead and do a separate one. The price of the return had gone up to $90 for some reason. Entering her information, the program for some reason called her "James", my name. There was no way to change this and no option given for customer support. So I gave up and have received an e-mail asking why I had not filed, no reply possible (I did anyway). What has changed in a formerly good company?

TurboTax as advertising free taxes done for simple tax forms well I received emails last year I remember about getting paid back for the money I had spent processing my tax returns through TurboTax never received or anything else from them and then this year while I'm filing they want to charge me over 200 to do simple tax returns false advertisement it is best and they should not be able to do this like this is $#*!ed up and if they are able to come up with all these processing fees just to take your money from you and they have been over charging, according to the lawsuit, in which I never received my little chang! They are the biggest scam going, and I want my money back Turbo Tax!

Turbo Tax the NEW rip off

Tyrbo tax update: you Do NOT get expert advice LIARS could not tell me where they screwed up my return saw my federal and state reduce for no reason after pay and file... NOW I gotta do an amendment they said... CAUSE OF THEM. ILL NEVER USE AGAIN WORSE THAN EVER. RIPPING PPL OFF NOW... I want my 78.00 back FIRST they told me Fed and state to file was 39.00 after finished fed they changed to another 39.00 AFTER INTO THE RETURN. FO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TURBO TAX.!

Inadequate Service

Supposed to file at 8862 form in which the system does not generate to file. No one seems to know what they are doing Upload my own 8862 to my file only to learn the IRS does not have access to see it in Turbo Tax.

When I got Live tax help, I was told the person I was speaking to was a tax professional with 30 years of experience. Based on the total lack of information they provided me, I do not believe I was chatting with a tax pro at all. It seemed more like an associate reading from provided scripts. When they couldn't answer my question, they gave me poor advice (just don't file a schedule C for your business at all) rather than offering to find the information. I had to ask them to escalate the case, which they did, but a message was very quickly sent to my account that I was never able to view and the case was closed without additional exchange or input from me, same day. The business taxes that I'm filing are very simple, and the question that I escalated is also very simple. If TurboTax cannot deal with something at this minor level, I have little confidence in their ability to deal with more complicated tax matters. This lack of concern for customers is extremely concerning given the legal implications people will face trusting them to provide them with accurate tax information and assistance.

Don't use - if you have any issue they are useless to help

I have filed my taxes for the last few years and this year this ask of my wife's AGI for 2020, but we filed a joint return and Turbo Tax does not separate our AGI's, so I was forced to mail in the returns. I will find a better solution next year.

I have been a loyal TurboTax user for years, through data mis-reporting, problems getting the program to load properly and this year, a little bit of dishonesty. I even bought a new Mac computer because TurboTax had cautioned that the next year's program would no longer work with my older Mac. Well, it did not work with the new Mac either. There were the usual hiccups, TurboTax calling up my 2017 tax return for some reason, a problem finding and correcting an entry error that I had made. (I started over) And final straw, the reason that I will never use TurboTax again, is that the promised free e-filing did not work. I learned, after the tedious effort to speak with a rep, is that the program does not work with a new iMac. (The package states that it does, the dishonesty). The "solution", the rep told me was to download Google Chrome and through some effort on her part, the filing could occur. We never got that far, because the Chrome option also DID NOT WORK. I mailing the return.
I resented having to download a Google product that prompted me repeatedly to allow access to area of my computer that had nothing to do with my taxes. This is the Google that collects as much data as possible about everyone. I did not want that. I will never go near TurboTax again. I suggest that others follow my lead.

Bait and Switch

I've used Turbo Tax for years and have been happy. However, I itemize and haven't minded paying the fee to send electronically. I've done my sister's simple taxes, no itemizing, for a couple of years. I input the data and print the forms for her. This year after inputing her data I find I can't print the forms. I can only pay to file electronically before I can see or print the forms. Turbo Tax says I can't use the free form because I've paid in the past. Don't purchase Turbo Tax!

Turbo Tax is great for personal taxes, however when you have a business it's not as efficient. I completed my first Turbo Tax with my business including expenses for 2022 and it told me I needed to pay state taxes in a state I completed work for despite I reside in Florida where I only pay federal taxes. I had to pay $40 and download the state tax form from Turbo Tax and I went ahead and paid the taxes. I met with a CPA a few months later and he informed me because I did not live or complete work in that state when I did the work I did not owe that state any taxes. Trying to get the money refunded was nothing but a hassle and the form was so complicated I had to pay the CPA to complete the amended return. Intuit made extra money off of me by telling me I needed to download the state tax form and never asked me if I lived or completed the work in that specific state. As long as I have a business I will be getting my taxes done by a CPA.

Have used Turbo Tax to do my returns for 9 years. I file quickly and simply. Advertised FREE that did not happen ended up paying to file federal, state, and direct deposits! Then low and behold my refund was sourced out to some bank in CA and they charged a FEE to deposit it in my account! I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED, WILL NOT BE USING TURBO TAX IN THE FUTURE.

I recently received a notice from CO IRS stating I did not file my 2019 taxes, however, I did file them electronically by Turbo Tax. I sent all the documents in and what I find ironic is they stated the do not find anything wrong with the states notice of me owing taxes, but never mentioned as to why it was never filed electronically by turbo tax, although the service was paid for. Nothing upsets me worse than being told the state was correct yet never mentions that Turbo Tax was in the wrong for accepting my money to file and yet my taxes were not filed. There is not even a phone number that you can reach a live person to speak to about your concerns. Why is it that you have to threaten with legal action before someone understands the momentum of you dissatisfaction. Unbelievable NEVER AGAIN TURBO TAX!

I have been a customer of TurboTax for almost 10 years, if not longer. For the past few years, I have been purchasing the MAX defense benefits. Well, I received a letter the other day from the IRS stating that I owe money due to a miscalculation of a credit claimed on my 2020 tax return. Anyone that uses TurboTax knows the software you pay to use does the calculation for you, and now there is no way for me to access my MAX benefits even after contacting customer service. I deserve a refund for the additional amount and for the miscalculation of the credit, which cost me $300. DON'T USE TURBOTAX THIS IS JUST SAD NOT TO MENTION FALSE ADVERTISEMENT AND I WILL BE SEEING WHAT I CAN DO ABOUT THIS LEGALLY.

Avoid Turbo Tax now

As a longtime TurboTax advantage customer, I paid for and received the 2021 tax year version and loaded it as a disk. The disk was corrupted and had no function for entering Social Security income, which a customer service representative was able to see for herself.

But Intuit corrupted my turbo tax advantage account and lost the payment history, although the registration number does show. Even the product code on the disk was "an old number", whatever that means. TurboTax would not give me a substitute free online version Because the representative couldn't see that I'd paid for the first corrupted, useless disc. That was in spite of the fact that another representative could see that the 2021 program was loaded onto my computer.

There is absolutely no reason to buy another product from them. I don't know if my payment will be recorded or if the software will function properly at all.

TurboTax used to be a very helpful reasonably priced product. It is not anymore. Don't get TurboTax.
