The information they provide is limited and most of it is wrong! After searching at least 15 times, they have as people's last name as being born with their "married" name. Repetitive useless information. No marriages, no birthplaces, no job status, after knowing that my one of my family members had a criminal background, it did NOT show up on the report. When you check to see if there were any sexual predator info, it only shows what predators are in the neighborhood. You must be kidding me! Paying $29.00 for this crap! I signed up yesterday and it is now 8 hours later and it is CANCELLED! BEWARE!
Truth finder advertised criminal history and background checks and at the end of the day after all the hoops to jump through ordered ZERO help, said they couldn't find anything after an extensive search. Unless you're looking for a sex offender don't waste your money

I found these guys with an internet search, as I needed some background info on a potential client. They had some "deal" going where you could pay a minimum amount, but if you didn't cancel within a specific time you got hit with the full monthly fee. I think it was like 7 days or something. So, I signed up. Big mistake! I used the service, received pretty basic information. I cancelled the service within 24 hours. To my surprise, my account was billed 3 times to the tune of over $50 bucks! Avoid these guys, unless of course, you enjoy supporting the CEO's lavish life style...

Am writing a term paper on data brokers so did a search on myself. No criminal record, no graphic stuff in my background -- but you'd never know it from the enticing "warnings" and "alerts" that popped up while the search is executing. The alerts explicity say that "graphic content", "embarrassing" or "surprising insider information" may be in the report. Although the age and residential info was accurate, the "alert" messages are just scammy marketing laid on thick. Buyer beware!

Shows some info. Missed some info also. Do it just to use their free or 1 dollar trial. Then be sure to cancel before they charge you $25+. Definitely not worth paying that for. I wouldn't do that. They don't give enough information for you to pay more than a dollar or so.

The information I retrieved was only a little more than what was available on public records for free, but I am happy to have all the informaiton in one place. While my friend did disclose some items, not all issues were disclosed and this was helpful in my a decision on whether or not to enter into a business agreement.
However, this is not worth a reoccurring monthly fee. I will not continue this service.

I wanted to check on a few matters concerning associates. While doing so, I took time to review my information, which was worth it because I could clean up some misinformation and protect myself in other areas. Truthfinder is on my list of quick finds, so I can get to it anytime - just in case I need the valuable information that would take me hours to confirm otherwise.
I had cancelled my subscription to Truthfinder online and received a confirmation email. However, charges continued. When I contacted Truthfinder customer support via telephone, I was connected to an agent in less than one minute. After I provided the subscription ID from the cancellation confirmation, the agent was immediately able to identify the issue (duplicate subscriptions, hence four not five stars). They cancelled the second subscription and initiated a full refund.
This is the best customer service interaction I've had in a very long time.

I purchased a "report" on myself hoping to find some dates from my ancient past for a document I was filling out... Needless to say, the "public records" they promised were not included... Also, there was a whole plethora of bogus information that was in no way, shape, form, or fashion even related to me... Apparently, truthfinder couldn't find the "truth" if they were trapped inside a garbage bag with it... You can use Google and get as much information as you can get from these "experts"... DO NOT waste your money... Since I cannot get a refund, I will be leaving honest negative reviews everywhere available informing everyone of their scam-like practices hopefully before they get duped out of $28...

Ok so I must take back my harsh words because even though I didn't find what I was looking for after dealing with the customer service rep who spoke and understood perfect English, they handled theirselves just like true customer service professionals. I will tell you this much that good "customer service" is something I believe in and you can't find that any more. I would definitely recommend this company to everyone!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I deactivated my account about a year ago. In September of 2023 I noticed my bank account was still being debited $28.05, $7.99, $3.99 every month. I called and was assured the charges would stop and that I would be refunded for the charges made since cancellation. In January of 2024 I noticed that I was still being charged and was never refunded. I called and got the same promise. It is now May of 2024 and I have yet to see a refund and they have debited those amounts from my account each month. The charges add up to $260.07. I have emailed several times over the last seven days with no response. I had to get a new debit card and my bank is investigating this as fraud. This really is nothing short of theft. Do NOT use this service. There are other much better much more thorough services that will not steal your money. I suggest you use those. The photo on my review is the screenshot from September 2023 where my account had already been inactive for 191 days

Hardly any information, long deceased relatives listed as alive, wrong information, useless. Don't subscribe in the first place. Sorry we even tried this experiment! Waste of money and time.

Answer: To Amber: I have used Truthfinder for several years and of all the search sites, I have found their information the most current (and the most correct). I 100% believe that there are scammers that USE Truthfinder - to get information they can't get on Google - but I don't think that Truthfinder "scams people". They get their data from "public information" - something we could all get if we had the time and patience to find information about any person that someone is looking for out there. I use the website to find high school classmates and I have been pleased with the success I have had finding "long, lost friends". I agree with you that the scammers need to be prosecuted for all the times they break the law. They should all get off the couch and get a job instead of stealing from honest people who are trying to take care of their families by actually WORKING.
