Trustpilot Should Be Banned – Protecting Scam Companies Like mSpy. It should be called ScamPilot! I'm disgusted with Trustpilot. I left a 100% honest and critical review of mSpy, detailing how it failed to work as advertised, how their customer support was unresponsive, and how their refund policy is a complete joke. What did Trustpilot do? They removed my review. This is a blatant conflict of interest. How can consumers trust a platform that protects paying companies from criticism? Trustpilot claims to be unbiased, yet here they are, scrubbing negative reviews to keep shady businesses looking squeaky clean. Meanwhile, unsuspecting users are led straight into scams. This isn't just censorship – it's complicity. Trustpilot is helping companies like mSpy scam more people by silencing those of us who try to warn others. Platforms that allow companies to buy good reputations and erase valid negative feedback do not serve consumers – they serve corporate interests. Trustpilot has proven they can't be trusted to uphold transparency or fairness. It's time for Trustpilot to be banned or thoroughly investigated. They are nothing more than a reputation laundering service. Consumers deserve real review platforms – not ones that delete the truth to protect their paying customers.

I have used TrustPilot in the past but out of 10 reviews I left they just delete them if the vendor responds "We think this is fake" which is NOT a good enough reason. So it's a useless site and if you search the web you will find many articles and TrustPilot has people who get paid to leave positive reviews that are fake. That renders TrustPilot as useless. The first thing a buyer will do is search for reviews and give their account. But it's obvious, trustpilot cares more about vendors complaint than the public. When you waste users time where they spend valuable time reporting (what do we have to gain? We don't get paid) we are motivated when we get ripped off. The fact is the product name is different than the business taking your money. This is also part of the problem. Imagine to buy a Honda and get a bill from Bozo the clown/ Inc.? They don't mention clearly what product you are paying for. Also when you buy they claim its a per month deal but bill 12 months and then set up automatically billing without permission. They should by law ask if they can charge you another month, not just take the money. Then companies like PayPal are also part of the problem as they also don't say who the bill is from or what it is, just a number. They hide the fact you can cancel or turn this off on PayPal, but both PayPal and Servermask don't include links to do this. In this case Servermaks did NOT have a history for payments, or an interface to turn off the billing, just a one time payment then you can't see or adjust your product billing

The website 'trustpilot.com' used to be somewhat useful. But now they threaten to take down reviews if the poster does not give specific information, ie name, transaction date and more, directly to the business. They used to ask for documentation of the transaction for their verification process; but now act as a middle henchman for the business, revealing your personal information and more. When you've likely already been scammed by the business you're leaving a review about. Retaliation by the business enabled by the website 'trustpilot'.com. The worst of the worst.

I have been fighting trustpilot for 2 years trying to get my truthful factual negative reviews about a scamming forex website ( techberry.online) posted but are removed as soon as the scammers say they are defamatory! I have supplied numerous documents supporting my review but they are completely ignored by trustpilot. The positive " reviews " of the company are fake, the scammers company is unregulated, has no address, is under investigation by financial compliance authorities and STILL my negative reviews are taken down because they are "defamatory ". Dealing with Trustpilot is clunky, slow, extremely frustrating and seemingly supportive of criminal websites. I only persist with trying to get my reviews posted because l know techberry.online absolutely fear having such negative reviews posted there.

I am a new business and was so happy to be getting 5 star reviews from all my customers. I set my business up on Trustpilot and instantly got two 5 star reviews from satisfied customers. Because of their unfathomable scoring system, the first 5 star review gave me an overall score of 3.7 out of 5 - WHY! The second 5 star review was rejected by Trustpilot for no valid reason. I am a photographer and even uploaded the images from the photoshoot to prove it was genuine. Beware - they almost blackmail you by destroying your ratings to pay them £3,000 to change it!

After reviewing a business on TP I received a series of "Integrity" fact-checker TP messages claiming my review was aimed at the wrong business. After submitting my explanation at least 3x, my review was removed because I "failed to respond." TP's responses never once engaged the substance of my responses either because TP uses an AI bot and/or slavishly protects TP paid business subscribers.

TrustPilot wouldn't let me post a genuine review as its software thought it was spam. I provided details such as an invoice number, and asked what further information I could provide to assure them it was a genuine review. After "a thorough review" they decided to keep my review offline. I wonder how many reviews this happens to, and whether we are actually getting an accurate picture of companies' services.

I have given a negative review of some scam behaviour of one company. They flagged it as a fake, so Trustpilot wanted proof. Then is the "magic" happen.

So far I can understand it. Reviews need to be real both sides. The problem is I have my proofs on place. I tried to send them but it looks like their server is blocking every email with attachment. I tried with a lot of images, then reduced it to two, then even with one image cutted to a size of 70kb. No luck even with that one. So I've ended with text only, but text is not a proof. It got through but I'm sure that won't bring anything and nobody will care about my proofs.

It's a shame. Like there is no site you can trust on the Internet now days. It's not even close. Have similar experience with Google Reviews a week or two ago. Just there google wanted a proof of a normal visit to a place from two (yes, two) years ago...

People, if you want a genuine reviews is better to look on not moderated sites. It have risk too, but the negatives there would probably be real.

Trust pilot needs to be shut down. The experiance customers face leaveing reviews is just shocking over and over again genuine reviews are removed. Customers don't need the hassle of having to prove purchases over and over again its defeating.

Site should be closed down since it's not fulfilling its purpose. It is supposed to give consumers/customers an idea of what to expect from a business and how they handle things if they go wrong. But as nobody is allowed to leave a genuine honest review. You really have no idea what kind of business you are dealing with.
I left a review about InPost. A 3 star review and included my parcel tracking number. This was in the hopes I could be heard and get some help. Posted parcel on 18th dec and hasn't arrived. Tracking just stopped updating after courier took parcel. Of course nothing is going to be sorted because they don't care. They would rather hide all negative reviews and bury under carpet.

Have used Trustpilot for years to leave honest reviews. Left a recent review following awful customer service from a company for the second time. The next day, my account is closed due to fraud. I query it with trust pilot and they can do nothing about it and keep spouting this generic rubbish

I cannot use the platform knowing they sensor bad reviews, what is the point?

I had posted a few diverse reviews there, but found that they remove reviews when companies flag them. The reviews were all truthful and honest, with absolute facts, not hearsay or conjecture but proof of criminal behavior and they just blame A.I. For the censorship. It's fair to say that if you bother to post a review on Trustpilot that is critical of a large, well heeled company, it'll be 'down' in 24 hours or less because the company can 'flag' without showing proof that your review truly is erroneous, incorrect, or has no basis in fact. Today in America where 'regulations' and 'regulators' are a thing of the past, how else are we to tell others of a dishonest, criminal and in some cases, truly predatory company? The answer: Not using these 'fake' evaluation sites. I actually believe like 'BBB' who carries one company at 'A+', but all of the ratings for the company are ONE STAR, this tells you something about 'obvious' payola there too. Complain to the government? Yeah, that does a lot of good (NOT!) In a world that is now basically without rule of law, honest appraisals of criminal companies who's predation and wrongdoing are clear, are essential components of FIRST AMENDMENT in the U.S. where one particular 'tribe' seems hell bent for leather to SUPPRESS all criticism of wrongdoing and criminal behavior, but seek to punish those who step up to provide the rest of the public with a WARNING about the dangers of such suppression. We all have a responsibility to warn others of a clear and present danger, and when that's suppressed or halted, overal society itself suffers because your voice is stifled and taken away by autocrats, plutocrats, and yeah, kleptocrats.

I had a bad experience with uber, gave a 1 star review, and my Trustpilot account along with my other reviews were deleted. So I made another account, gave trustpilot a 1 star and a reason why, and this account was suspended...

If you go through all of the reviews on here you will see that nearly all of them are negative about trustpilot.com. I was just on there and it appears they make money by forcing businesses to pay them to get positive reviews. For example, I was looking at reviews for plenty of fish. Looking at the overall review for plenty of fish you would think that it is a trustworthy company. Looking through the first page I noticed that all of the reviews were positive and nearly entirely fake reviews. Once you go past the first page of reviews nearly 100% of the reviews are negative and from reviewers that have posted multiple reviews under their profile. I have personally had multiple truthful honest negative reviews of companies taken down by trust pilot because companies were able to pay to have my reviews taken down. This company works by extorting businesses and businesses pay to ensure that they have positive ratings on trust pilot.com. Please note that a very high percentage of reviews on trust pilot.com or fake reviews and created by scammers or bots. Near the all reviews that are positive come from people with only one review under their profile which is indicative of a fake review. Never right reviews on this site and never trust positive reviews on this site.

Trustpilot plays both sides of the street. It accepts some reviews from consumers (if you somehow manage to successfully meander its byzantine review scheme). It also accepts money from companies while removing critical reviews upon request. Trustpilot (weird name by the way) just rejects other critical reviews. Attempted to post a negative review of a doctor; did not expect the train wreck that ensued -- repeated popups of "Opps, something has gone wrong." Well, yeah - the wrong being a waste of time trying to post on Trustpilot. Two thumbs down, and a few toes as well. Use Yelp; or topconsumerreviews.com; or Consumer Reports; or Wirecutter. Easier. Better. And TRUSTWORTHY.

I contributed a review to trust pilot on a company that did a horrible job and it should be noted to any future consumers. Trust pilot said my review was fake and they removed it. Well my review was NOT fake and I have every right to bring to light the poor experience I had. In conclusion, TRUST PILOT WILL CENSOR AND REMOVE HOUR REVIEW AT BECUASE CLIENTS PAY THEM. It's a TOTAL SCAM! Don't trust trust pilot!
