I was booking a room that showed available in Traveluro website. I entered all required info including credit card info. I selected basic service (i.e., I can only seek assistance via email if needed, didn't want to pay the $4.99 for live support). I selected button to confirm the reservation...then...voila...the room is not available! I called the hotel but the receptionist told me to call back the next day from 8am to 4pm for reservation.
So I called another hotel was able to get a room reserved.
I'll check my credit card tomorrow and see if Troubleluro charged my card for a room that was not available!
I booked a reservation for my boyfriend's sister as her graduation gift. I usually just book through hhonors app but the price was 30-40% cheaper. I called the hotel and they found my reservation and I thought that it was a great deal. As it is nearing the date, I check the reservation in my app and it was cancelled. I called Hilton to ask why my reservation was cancelled but after reading the reviews here I think I know why. I called the traveluro number multiple times and nobody was answering the calls. It just rings and drops. I disputed the charge on my card
I was supposed to travel the weekend of May 20 but Denver had a late winter storm. My flight was cancelled and I was unable to get another one out that weekend. I called the hotel to request a credit. The hotel cancelled the reservation because of the situation. I called Traveluro the same day - May 20. Traveluro said they called and confirmed that the hotel cancelled the same day - May 20. Traveluro has confirmed this cancellation at least three times. I have confirmed this cancellation twice. Every time I call Traveluro they apologize and say they are going to follow up with the hotel to confirm the cancellation and provide me a refund, then nothing happens. This has been going on since May 20,2022 and it is not July 3,2022. Still nothing. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
Yesterday, TravelUor stolen my information from Expedia, and they booked a hotel next to my home for last night, and they charged $240 from my credit card. After I discovered the fraudulent transaction I called that hotel, the hotel told me to report Fraud to my credit card right away! I reported this scam to my credit card to avoid any further transaction.
Traveluro forgot to mention that the hotel was under construction. When asked for a refund, I was told to go ask the hotel for a refund. When I asked the hotel, they said they can't, because it was with a third party booking. Complete run around.
I learned an $418 lesson! Booked a hotel reservation that claimed to have cancellation and change options. Realized I booked 6/9 to 6/11, s/b 6/16 to 6/18. Tried to change on line and it would not let me so I called on 6/4. I was told I had to cancel or change by 12AM on 6/4, it was 1PM so they said I was screwed!
Filled out the form to book the room, got an insufficient funds rejection, looked at my bank statement……they had taken the money out. When I called, they tried to tell me that I had to contact my bank because they hadn't received the money
Got an email cancellation THE DAY OF my trip. I called the hotel to see what could be done and they had NO INFORMATION about my stay. My room was never even booked! I ended up having to pay double the price than the original rate for a last minute reservation, forcing me to re-budget at nth hour for my entire vacation. NEVER AGAIN!
I reserved two rooms in Paris hotel in Las Vegas from traveluro and i paid for that online and I got the confirmation for two rooms from traveluro. When I reached there, Paris hotel reception told me there is no reservation for two rooms under your name and there is only one room reserved under your name. When I called traveluro customer service, they only said sorry for inconvenience. So traveluro is 100% scam.
I will never use this company again! Ok I recived no refund and had to change the date of my booking when I got to the hotel there was no payment being made by the company tried to call the customer service number on the email that I recieved and never got an answer after holding on for more than 30 minutes, so thanks to the manager of the property that went on and gave us a room and said they would settle it with the company. Also they re-booked us with the wrong room.
I booked a local hotel using this site and I called the hotel and hotel assured me I had a reservation….so far so good.
But when I got to the hotel, they said Traveleuro never paid for the reservation. Traveleuro had taken my money but didn't forward it to the hotel.
My only option was to pay again at the hotel and request a refund through my credit card company.
Traveleuro is a SCAM!
OMG SCAM FRAUD STAY AWAY. They stole money from my debit card after notifying they continued with transaction. Pure scum bottom of the pit. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this so called agents. Worst experience of my life!
I booked a hotel for my wife, and her best friend, down in Florida through Travelero. I noticed when I got the confirmation email that I had booked the wrong day. The package was a "No Refund" deal. However when I explained what happened, the customer service department at Travelero was very curtious and assisted me in solving my mistake. It took a few hours for them to contact the hotel and soforth, but with patience and courtesy they fixed the mistake for me.
I highly reccomend using this company for your travel needs.
Recently used Traveluro to book my stay at the Hilton in Rosemont. The booking went smoothly, and I received a voucher and everything. When I checked into the hotel, my reservation was set up, and marked as prepaid. However, Traveluro never paid the hotel. I received a call from the front desk that I had to settle the bill, as Traveluro declined my stay and canceled the transaction. Meanwhile, Traveluro stated that my stay was confirmed and active. Fortunately, I used one of my credit cards to book with them. Traveluro would not respond to my emails or calls, except to send me confirmation emails. After sending a receipt of payment where I personally paid the hotel to my credit card, the credit card dealt with Traveluro. They got me a refund, but it was only after I paid double for the room. Save time, don't use Traveluro.
I made a reservation, only to have it canceled an hour later with no explanation. Then when I tried to rebook, the rates had increased. I tried to book again only to find out that room was no longer available. When I once again tried to book, the room was once again available but at a different rate! I then tried to exit as the process was sketchy and totally unprofessional. I never received a purchase confirmation before leaving, but found a NON-REFUNDABLE confirmation in me email. Do not use this company!
I tried to book a room with this worthless service. They twice changed my dates from what I entered to first available. After the second time I neglected to check and did not notice they had done it to me again.
When I tried to cancel or modify they said I didn't pay extra so they wouldn't work with me.
So I ended up getting a different booking for the night I needed and disputed their charges with my credit card company.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you go with any other company.
I feel totally scammed by Traveluro. The hotel failed to meet their obligation to provide a room as advertised. The room did not have a functioning toilet and management failed to fix it after 3 days. I left the hotel early. Traveluro still charged me and blamed the hotel. Traveluro informed me that the charge was nonrefundable and that they are not responsible for accommodation services. Avoid this company.
I was looking for a reservation for a specific date for a hotel in Chicago. Traveluro uses SEO/SEM to get to the top of search results and then combines that with a non-refundable system to swindle travelers.
While this is annoying, it wouldn't be so atrocious if their system gave the price for the CORRECT date that was initially clicked. I.e., It's a super deceptive business practice that preys off consumers looking to book something quickly at a (artificially) lower price.
Beyond that, their "support phone number" (+1 *******798) is not reachable and my multiple outreaches to their support have went unanswered.
For extra context, I was trying to book the hotel day-of (in August), and they gave me a confirmation for some random day in October that was unable to be changed OR anyone at the company reached to discuss.
Booked the wrong date (their fault) and unable to reach ANYONE in the company. Total scam. Charging back and going to tell the world about this terrible experience
I booked a room, thinking it was for the date i had needed before our flight. Turns out its the day of the flight. I contacted directly after i seen the confirmatoon date as soon as i paid.I asked if it can be changed to the day prior. Its not like it was a day or so later, it was literally minutes after i booked. Nope, not at all. Wont giv this business my business again.
Made a hotel reservation through Traveluro and received all confirmations including a reminder about my stay a day before it was reserved for. When I came to the hotel I was informed that my reservation was cancelled by Traveluro a week after it was made. Luckily hotel had a room available, but at a higher rate than I paid Traveluro. I spent over an hour on the phone with Traveluro service reps, but couldn't get any explanation of the cancellation. I was promised a call back from an escalation department, but no one called me back. I had to call back multiple times just to request a return of my money. I was requested to send Traveluro my hotel bill, which I did. Still no apology, no compensation, huge aggravation. I submitted a dispute for the Traveluro charges to my credit card.
