I really need to know more about training an older dog. Bear is 8. Was never properly housebroken and never neutered He constantly tried to jump our male neutered beagle and no matter how much we take him out he will still pee on the floor. But he's getting better at letting me know when he goes outside, but we can spend a good half hour outside and he will again come inside and mark his territory. I'm hoping he will outgrow this habit as I do use the spray and clean up so there is no smell. He is very stubborn and trying to get my attention so I am trying the method of what you were saying by ignoring him to see if that might help.
