The tips you gave me worked like a charm. Chase is actually a Labradoodle. 4 months, extremely intelligent, born and raised in a barn until I got him. He only had one accident in the house and was completely housebroken in 2 days. His buddy is a Maltese he loves to hump, and Charlie snaps at him every time and growls. I was told it's a status thing on who's dominant. Your tips worked great. Thank you so very much.
I would first like to thank you for the emails. I greatly appreciate them! Your approaches have helped me with King already. When he's jumping and I simply ignore his behavior, as you said, he stops within a very short amount of time. Also, praising him with just simply saying good has worked great. I'm not sure if that has worked or made a difference for anyone else but it truly did for me. Thank you for free tips and advice. I'd not be fortunate enough to have something like this otherwise.
This site is very insightful on puppy/dog language. It pays to give your attention to their advice and explanations regarding your pet. I have been amazed at how effective they have been in helping me train and understand my 2 baby yorkies. They have made me see how contrary the perceptions can be in the minds of humans versus dogs and it's very necessary to know the difference if you ever succeed with your pet.
We read with interest your emails regarding training our beautiful Shih Tzu, Zac.He is generally a well behaved little man and adored by Yvonne & Myself but does have a little naughty streak at times!Your emails are excellent and expressed in plain English. Your words of wisdom are common sense but like a lot of dog owners we forget that our job is to make our little friends obey commands when they do not speak English and hence have to have repetitive instruction in order to get the message. Keep up the good work.
I am finding the tips very helpful. My little Mindi is 3 months old so we are starting a little late with some of the training but she's bright and willing and I believe we will catch up before too long. I have also shared the tips with the people who come to her most often, so they know to apply the same rules and keep Mindi's training consistent from day to day and person to person. I'm enjoying your notes, I do plan to join the training program.
I think that your tips in dog training is working. I've already seen a change in my dog. I take him to the park every day and his companion. Thank you. You are a blessing to me and my puppies. I'm trying to learn everything there is to communicate with my dogs. I love them like if they were my kids. I'm so blessed for them. Have a blesed day and thank you.
I fully agree and understand the training method for my Shih Tzu Smokey and they have helped us both immensely. Smokey is one of the smartest dogs I ever had and he actually showed me what Love is really about. That's a different story but just to say this he left someone who was watching him when I was in the hospital from a bicycle accident and traveled over 3 miles across a interstate highway and a busy business street to get home at the apartment we lived in. 2 days before I got out, he's my wonder dog, wonderful wonder, ain't no money could pay his worth and nothing can separate us now. I'm 68 and retired
Very encouraged. As we talked, I realized all the things our little fella has learned in 10 days and that I am probably expecting too much too soon. I liked that Sally suggested "guiding" him into better manners rather than forcing him or yelling at him. Her commands and how to teach them make sense and we will work on them.
Controlling our puppy's anger and frustration at us when we say "no."
I've been training my baby with this process and fit her breed most people can't believe how mild mannered my female Rottweiler is. The training is very effective however it takes time and patience of the owner. It's best to have only one trainer as not to confuse your puppy. I love this class.
I really need to know more about training an older dog. Bear is 8. Was never properly housebroken and never neutered He constantly tried to jump our male neutered beagle and no matter how much we take him out he will still pee on the floor. I don't want to give him up but husband is getting irritated. Can you address how to heal these habits?

Emily was very helpful. Apparently I have created a potentially difficult situation for myself by getting littermates. I am grateful that we can address it with her help and hopefully raise to very good puppies.
Separate and train my two sibling puppies so they can mature into independent people loving dogs and be good family members together.
My knowledge is limited. Based on this call I would suggest checking it out. I have been overwhelmed with number of emails I receive and continued marketing even though I purchased multiple components already. And I was under the impression my modules were specific to Yorkshire terriers and small breeds. That is not the case. Emily is the first one to really address this.
I've only subscribed for three days, but already I've learned how to discourage jumping and our puppy's play biting. I was encouraging that without realizing it! We so appreciate all of Nancy's tips--especially her loving approach. My neighbor's strong suggestion to discourage jumping was to shoot my puppy in the face with a squirt bottle, to assert dominance. I refused, glad I did! Thanks, Nancy!
Emily was very helpful and sent me the links to help with the training. She definitely knows her business.
Extra sleep for my puppy
Yes, the techniques are very helpful for the un-trained adults.
I did read your first 2 emails in preparation of us receiving our 7 week old Husky, Diesel, this coming weekend. We will definitely use your techniques to train our new puppy :) My daughters and I are very excited to receive your book and your future newsletters. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and talents with others. Have a blessed day.
I understand what Sally said and if it was only me to do it, it would work, but my neighbors who think they know it all about dogs are involved in these situations.
I learned that I have to "sell" the training methods to my neighbors to get them to work with me on training my dog to be gentle with the little kids and to not nip the neighbor when he is over there.
I have completed several lessons and they have worked exactly as they said it would for my Labrador Retriever. Communication has been excellent. My pup has picked up very quick using the lessons provide by Train Pet Dog. Completely satisfied. Don't miss out!
But he's getting better at letting me know when he goes outside, but we can spend a good half hour outside and he will again come inside and mark his territory. I'm hoping he will outgrow this habit as I do use the spray and clean up so there is no smell. He is very stubborn and trying to get my attention so I am trying the method of what you were saying by ignoring him to see if that might help.
I have loved all the training tips and would love to know everything I can. I am a very huge animal lover. I've all kinds of animals, and different dog breads. I have more than just sissy, I have 3 others, they have been raised since they were 3 days old without a mother so this part is all new for me. I have learned more from what you have sent me I give u a 5 all the way

I got the online training
I didn't need a call yet since I won't get my puppy until Dec 21.
Emily was very helpful and sent an email with the info shared over the phone as well! Excellent
I learned how to change my dog's wrong behavior.
I have only been receiving this information for a few days now but everything I have tried from your advice is working great. The ignoring your dog part when she jumps up on me has been especially effective and when I ignore her instead of yelling at her or telling her no or get down and it is starting to work and she just stops after ignoring her. Thank you for all of this wonderful information.
Having the modules to go on and being able to repeat them as needed has given me added confidence to keep at it. I can review and move ahead as well as skip the ones that don't apply to my puppy. Trainpetdog has been a great resource for me to go back and fill in the gaps and to move forward into new territory. I'm very glad that I came across the website.
Not too many emails and not too pushy on purchasing products (although we know that is needed to survive). My wife and I have been going back and forth on if we purchase the full training set but we have told anyone we meet (and the owners who sold us this dog) to reference Nancy and this site. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful tips!
I have enjoyed your daily emails and have put into practice the way you explained about Tilly looking my attention and me rewarding bad behaviour unintentionally. Once you pointed this out it makes so much sense. These tips are really helpful for me as I am a first time dog owner to new puppy and appreciated all the tips you have been emailing me. Once again thank you for your help.
Good advice. I really liked her example of saying "hush" several times vs saying "leave it" once
Keeping my dog from barking randomly at what seems to be nothing
