Emily called me to discuss Winstons' variable charector defects. Ie: peeing on my bed when I leave the home. He wads up the comforters and lets fly. This requires me to do loads of heavy laundry for 2 comforters that I have ontop of the bed.

Emily said that since he is two years old this habit is probably engrained in him. So she said to keep him off the bed I could put a cage around the doggie door that would prevent him from jumping up on the bed.

Another method would be to use a scat mat, place it ontop of the bed so that when he jumped on it he would feel a little prick or hear a little "snap " - like noise. And when he was permitted to get onto the bed to sleep with me at night or for naps, I could remove it.

The method I'm using is to fence him off. He can be left in the fenced area by the dog door and this method has worked so far.

We are new to this site we have a senior border collie and I discovered this site when we purchased our puppy, our Labradoodle to get some insight on helping us to get through the start of puppy years I have not formally signed up for a training course just being honest just not the right time right for us but I think it in my opinion that it could help us for now just not the right time I have been receiving free emails from Nancy every day and it's been very helpful information from behavioral issues to grooming I'm very happy with the communication. I'm sure that if I ever purchased this program that it would be a great asset to training new puppy this is just my opinion 🐾😊

It was delightful to talk to someone who had had a Japanese Chin and understood the breed and the difficulties with it.

I like to talk to Sally and Paula. This was a nice call. I wanted to get them caught up on what my dogs are doing.

I feel so, so much better. We got two puppies and after we had had them about a month I found out about sibling syndrome and have separated them for everything ever since. Sally said I don't have to separate them all the time and explained when and why to separate them and things we should be working on. I feel so much better.

I really didn't think that training two dogs would be so difficult. Sally thinks I should have trained them to a potty spot in the yard and not be walking and walking them and be pulled in two directions all the time. I am not sure I can re-train them.

I had talked to Sally 3-4 weeks ago and we had just gotten our Great Pyrenees puppy. She had great suggestions and ideas and told me to check in every few weeks with new questions and updates, so tonight was our first check-in. She thought we are doing quite well!

I feel very encouraged after talking to Sally. We didn't think that our "new to us" dog was doing very well at adjusting, but Sally thought we are doing all the right things and the dog is doing better after only a week.
