Emily answered all of the questions I had and gave me some great chips that I'm working on now

With the tips and new information I got with TrainPetDog my little puppy Gold Berg has improved his behaviour quiet well he now knows how to sit, and im still working on getting him to lay down but it's slowly improving. Trying not to get frustrated with him can be a challenge but TrainPetDog has made me realize I have to be consistent and understanding. I have also been teaching him to wait for his food and he seems to do really well with it just sometimes he gets to excited so he doesn't always listen, but that's ok and I just wanna thank TrainPetDog for helping me become a better owner.

I recently adopted a 5yo (they think) pomeranian mix dog from our local SPCA. I have had a number of dogs over the years and this was my first pom so I wanted to learn more about their traits and breed characteristics. The information I found here was helpful especially how to handle jumping upnbut the training manual was too expensive for me right now so had originally assigned 3stars but I added a star for the free grooming manual.

I wasn't expecting a call until Monday, but I had time to talk tonight and had just had a bad experience with my dog, so I was glad to tell Sally about it and get her advice on that situation and a couple other things. I hope I also get a call on Monday to discuss the rest of my questions.

The call was quite helpful. I had not thought of keeping her on the leash in the house with us.

Sally gave me several things to work on with my puppy, but they all sound very do-able and I can easily see how they will change his behavior for the better.

I still have questions about how I will know my dog needs to potty, but it helped when Sally told me that adult dogs only need to go out 3-5 times a day.

I have hope that my two dogs will become friends. Sally explained how to work with them so both feel loved and the older one does not feel like we are replacing him.

Our last lab was so easy to potty train that I don't really believe what you are saying about the age and sphincter development with Labs. I think there is something more going on.

YOu've given me new energy to go at this. I've trained labs before but am older this time and had forgotten some of the things I need to be doing with him.
