I'm one of their best sellers and sold 110 items so far worth 35k, after all that had 2 cases of returns and tradesy just returns the item to the seller in a very funny and arrogant way. Their return team is horrible. They will find a minor reason not to keep the item but return it to the seller. It says free returns, buyer can return it if it's not represented correctly sellers would get paid if it was listed accurately! Not true! Even if your listing is super accurate they find reasons not to keep it in their wh but to return it to you.
Terrible return policy, credit only. Misrepresented items. Pictures are enhanced and do not show true damage of items. Never buying from again.
If your shopping for a used handbag DO NOT look here! There handbags are marked at ridiculous high prices and when they come to you they look and smell awful. I will not recommend this vendor to shop and when you complain for your money back they take extra long responding just so they can denied your claim. I order three handbags here. 1 was cancelled and the others were returned. Horrible quality of items.
A great way to shop and sell. Incredible way to find beautiful new items and keep your wardrobe fresh and fun. Also able to make a few dollars on items you are no longer using. What could be better!
This is the only consignment-type site with a killer platform. It is so simple to navigate and apply lots of filters. I always end up with something beautiful that was honestly and well presented with pictures, details. The Sellers are nice and they answer your questions (from their Closets) readily. There is a flexible, congenial, fun community feeling. The clothes are first rate. You can get couture for pennies on the dollar. Free People tunics for $30 - $70. Almost any price range. Incredible selection. Seamless ordering process, a few clicks is all it takes. I am hooked for life! You have to try Tradesy.com!
I get the things I love for a monthly fee! I can return when something does not fit with ease. I pay my bill with joy every month!
I'm new and I'm absolutely loving this site so far!
There's just too much good here, that I can't stop looking for more and more!
I sold a FitBit Blaze - New - never even been taken out of the box. Sale went through and I chose the cash option instead of "store" credit. Tradesy emailed and said the cash would be in my account within 3-5 days. I then get an email about a week later stating the buyer returned the item. And because the item was "unapproved" they would not honor their payment. They are instead returning it to me. I looked over their "Terms and Conditions" and nowhere does it state the item has to be approved before you can receive payment. I'm sure if I would have taken the credit option as payment there would have been no questions asked, but because I wanted cash they are returning it to me even though there are several Fit Bits listed on their site as we speak. Who knows what I will receive back in the mail - maybe some broken piece that isn't mine... then what recourse do I have? A broken item and no payment as promised. I will never sell or buy anything on Tradesy again.
Good price, good products and a lot of selections. I will be happy to shop with you again and in the future.
The bag i bought is a replica, it was authenticated by LV store and they said it's fake, and i have their statement. I have not been able to reach the seller or anyone from the website to help.
Bu what makes shopping on Tradesy REALLY AWESOME is the easy returns. If you don't like the purchase, no problem you can return it, just like a major retailer. Also, with many of the other similar sites, the products are really worn out and not just "gently used". Tradesy monitors their products and the users very well... so the I am a HUGE FAN!
Item I received was no where close to the item in sellers photo! Shameful! Will never use this site again!
I purchased a BIG SPLURGE from Tradesy without reading any of these reviews. I am usually way more careful then that... and felt sick to my somach when I started reading some of the bad reviews. I cant speak for thier customer service, but I did want to point out that (thankfully) what arrived was exactly as shown in the picture, and came with the authenticity booklet and original dust bag. I ordered a YSL bag and spent more then is probably sane, but its authentic and so definitley holds some value. I did purchase from an online consignment store via Tradesy, so I would say, be careful. If your buying from a individual seller, seems risky. Stick with the consignment shops, make sure there are tons of real pictures. If you can find reviews on who you are buying from even better. Stay away from anyone with an email address that sounds like it may be in China.
I dont know if after reading all this I will have the stomach to purchase anything this expensive online again, but for what its worth, I have had 2 good experiences, so do your homework, dont buy impulsively, and you may end up lucky with a fabulous piece for half the price of retail.
As a buyer and seller, I was ' once' an avid supporter of Tradesy site. In previous times, the customer service was stellar; this is no longer the case. It is like pulling teeth to get a fair resolution. Instead of a refund, site credits are pretty much the only option now. I dread it like the plague if I have to call customer service. As a seller, the price of doing business just keeps getting worse. I used to take great pride and effort in keeping my listing up to date, refreshed, and listed new items on a regular basis. I kinda feel like " why bother, your not making a good profit for your time and effort anymore". My infatuation with Tradesy is coming to a stand still. Another new fee for items under $50 of a flat $7.50 commission is being implemented this month. This seems so unfair if you have a lesser expensive item you' re wanting to sell. Shame on you Tradesy for ruining the pleasure of re-purposing items to others. I supported you 100% in the past. I cannot say that today! Hopefully with enough negative and unhappy feedback from your customers you will take it to heart and make some positive changes. All the hyped explanations you have given as to how these so called new changes will better us as sellers, and increase our sales is simply NOT true! I did way better under the good ole way. I know I'm not the only one who must feel this way.
Dont use trades
They dont care about the buyer
All the care about is getting a bad sale and get their cut
No customer service- i could not return as the 4 days were up - that was because the gift came across country was wrapped as a gift ( not opened to see condition) and what a surprise.
With the recent fairly large increase in their commission percentage (9% to 14.9%) and the $7.50 flat fee on any sale less that $50, it's becoming impossible to use. As someone who doesn't sell designer brands on their website, the new flat fee is killer. I made pretty easy money before but I guess my run with Tradesy is over. Bye!
Tradesy's new $7.50 flat commission on orders under $50 made it very clear of the kind of clientele they want to represent. Only the rich. I seen it coming when they raised the commission to 14.9% and the shipping fee to $10.50. If you don't have Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada and Gucci to sell or that kind of money to buy then they don't want you on there. The sad part is that the sellers who list items under $50 and the buyers who buy them are the ones who helped make Tradesy what it is today and now they want to toss them out like yesterday's trash. That is so dirty. I don't think they realize how much money they will be loosing from those lower end sales but I am sure they don't care either. They just want to be boogie at best. The majority of people can't afford Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Prada and those who can't that would ship on Tradesy won't be shopping on there anymore because a seller would have to list items for at least $45 for it not to hurt their bottom line. What a shame. Oh well! That's just more money for Poshmark, eBay, Amazon, Vinted and other such sites who cater to all.
Definitely would recommend Tradesy to anyone that loves deals and all the above! Fast shipping, great sellers. Easy buying!
Great site, very happy with most purchases and the one I was nt happy with I got great customer service from the actual company Tradsey! I would recommend
I truly love my Damier Nos Louis Vouitton Bucket handbag. This was my first time shopping with Tradesy, and I had complete trust in them when I read everything about there authentic products. I also have a Dear Friend who is always Posting Tradesy on Facebook. Tradesy will be my favorite place to shop in the near future. The seller, Sandra did an amazing job shipping my bag to me in no time. I think II will go right now to find me another bag. I also loved getting my $50 off my bag being a first time buyer.
Answer: Don't Do It! It takes at least 10 days to get paid. They prefer people that they can control. When you become successful, they will make upp a reason to suspend your account. TRADESY sell fakes, the owner is the closet owner of PENNY LANE It has been proven time and time again she sells Fakes. If you question TRADESY, they will shut your account down, and they do so WITHOUT even talking to you. Bunch of Bullies! Find an alternative. I AM IN THE MIST OF COMMENCING CLASS SUIT ACTION. THEY NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON!
Answer: They advertise a strict selling policy of authentic and accurate descriptions for listing. If by chance an item received is questionable, they have a review process to protect the buyer unlike many other sites out there.
Answer: It says that everything is guaranteed authentic but you have to know your stuff to know if it is authentic. Tradesy people don't see the items unless it is sold and the buyer complains about authenticity. So if you put your trust on tradesy, you are 100% WRONG and will get scammed.
Answer: Yep. Tradesy are infamous for holding your money! They will also refund a sale without any communication with the seller, they don't even tell you why. Tradesy hooked up with Authenticate First, these people don't know what they are doing. Well the messed up big time with my bag, see it was authenticated by a very reputable company. I have ALL my bags authenticated BEFORE I list for sale and of course have the documentation to prove it. The bag was in perfect shape. Tradesy are ignorant, unprofessional and teamed up with a company (authenticate first) who have their heads where the sun don't shine. Tradesy are totally so unprofessional they have not bothered to send me an email even notifying me of the refund, I only found out when I checked on the sales delivery date to find a little sentence that says "refunded". No explanation why, nor when I can expect my property back. Punks! I am still waiting to receive my bag back. I have read on other sites that Tradesy keep the returns and seller is SOL. One seller was screwed out of 2,500 and never received her property back. Tradesy are shady. Another seller has started a class uit action. It's about time Tradesy were taught a lesson and realized that they have no right to keep sellers property. Apparently they resell the items on another site. The person who started the class usit actin has proof of same. Ironically, although some were refunded allegedly for item being fake, they resell and state that it is authentic. I have removed all my items from this shady scam company. I hope the class suit action closes this scam company down!
Answer: Don't ever do business with Tradesy ever! Learned my lesson. Bought a Chanel bag that doesn't look like anything they showed. I took some pictures of what I received vs. what they showed on their listing. They still ignorantly argued that those are the same item. They refused to refund me back the money. I finally disputed it with the credit card company. Tradesy almost ripped me off of my $1,600
Answer: I do not shop with tradesy any longer. FAKE prada duffle bag and im done.
Answer: Eileen: There is not a feedback option on Tradesy as there is with ebay and Threadflip. If I were you, I'd contact Tradesy immediately. While the seller may have purchased a bunch of bags to resell, that would definitely make me nervous. How many days has it been since you purchased the handbag? The number of days that the seller has to confirm the sale may have elapsed so you'd be in the clear. We only have so many days to confirm that we will have the item will ship in a timely manner.
Answer: I would highly recommend you look at RealReal or even ebay as I have sold over 100 items on both and although there is occasionally that one off glitch, they do protect the seller and are very fair from a buyer perspective as well. Do not use Tradesy... everything negative you read in reviews is true unfortunately. I did finally get my money back from tradesy as a seller, but I threatened them to no end and actually emailed the CEO... RUN from this site... save yourself the craziness of poor business practices. Best of luck to you!
Answer: I just had a worst experience with customer service also. I bought a chanel bag over $3K and the condition of the bag received was not the same as what was listed. The authentication card was also missing and there was no dust bag as listed. When I tried to complain & return the item, Blair said that the bag left the headquarters in perfect condition. How did the two big black marks were there within 5 second I got it if it left the headquarter in perfect condition. Instead of trying to solve the issue with the seller about the auth card, she said I could re-list the item to recoup the fund? There was no sign that the item was on final sale. If I knew there were no authentication card and the item was on final sale, I would not spend over $3K for the bag. It was the worst experience of customer service they've had. Lesson learnt and I will not do any business with this site anymore. I will write to BBB and I hope people will do the same.
