I bought a rolex watch form this site, it said that it was brand new and that it has no signs of wear.
This is what i got. After i wore the watch once the glass got all weird looking well i took it to the store and it was a fake glass it was plastic.
Do not buy from this person, he is not a trustworthy person at all
This is to warn potential buyers from missing out on a purchase elsewhere, while Tradesy first wastes your time while requiring you to share all your sensitive information (name, address, credit card, phone number etc.), then holds up your money for a week (3-5 business days) - but only after CANCELING the purchase, because the seller apparently "no longer has the item".
This experience demonstrates that Tradesy cannot ensure delivery of the items on their website, which in turn leads me to wonder how they are able to ascertain the condition or even AUTHENTICITY of the item, as others have already mentioned. When all this is said, I also found it inappropriate that the site does not make it apparent WHERE an item is located, since in this case, the watch would apparently have to be shipped from Japan to the US, thus taking an extended period of time.
With so many other great sites out there, I wonder why anyone would look to Tradesy for reliable shopping of second hand luxury goods. I definitely won't ever again - and I will warn others from doing so!
No bag affirm says I still own. Seller never shipped. But she printed s label. I'm going to write the attorney general's office and the bbb
They take the money from the purchaser IMMEDIATELY (despite being satisfied with the authentic purchase and no issue with returns) but make sellers wait a long, long time to get their $$. Still waiting. I had to email them to put a fire under their $#*! for my money.
I purchased a Louis Vuitton for 330.00 the package was never delivered to my house, after 3 weeks I filed a claim with USPS (who TF send a high-quality package through USPS) and still no delivery so I contacted the seller to let them know I was filing a claim with my bank due I never received the handbag, I also notified Tradesy about it and their request was to pick the package up at USPS facility which all are close due to COVID-19.
2 weeks after I received the package and filed a claim with my bank. TRADESY request me to open the package send them pictures and the purse was damage, so they asked me to ship it back and that I needed to cancel the claim with my bank so they can proceed with the refund. What a BAD DECISION so I can get my refund and still trying to contact them so I can get the money back, last I was told the refund was processed on 6/24/20 but haven't got anything 'till this day. They all are a bunch of liars on customer service.
I sold some luxury items in this site and the process to get paid from Tradesy is RIDICULOUS - First, the seller has to wait until the buyer receive the item (I definitely agree and understand this process) after this the seller has to wait 7 additional days until the buyer decides to return the item due to misrepresentation which I don't understand how somebody can wait 7 days to decided that the item is damaged or fake - The process gets worst because after the buyer is happy with the purchase the seller has to wait an additional 14 days to get paid from Tradesy - After this time period Tradesy charges a wire fee to transfer the funds to the seller's bank account - I think Tradesy believes that the seller's fees aren't enough so they decide to charge MORE fees - But... WAIT... there is more... Tradesy takes 7 extra days to complete the wire transfer - Because all of these I just want to say four words "STAY AWAY FROM TRADESY"
This site has gone downhill. I used to buy and sell here regularly until their percentage started to increase. From 9% to 12% to 17%?!? They want 17% of MY earnings from MY designer goods just to post my handbags on their website.
They also changed their return policy. Before, if your item was returned, you still received your pay and Tradesy would keep and sell the item on their website. However, now if you sell an item, the buyer can return it, YOU LOSE THE SALE and the item is returned back to you. I don't feel comfortable sending my designer goods to people and then having them returned without knowing if the item was used or switched out with another item. Tradesy claims to inspect the item, but other users have noticed their items are not being returned to them in the condition it was sold. All of this is why I will not longer buy or sell on Tradesy and neither should you.
Tradsey gives absolutely No seller protection. They charge the MOST in seller fees ( calling some of it by a different name doesn't change the fact it is a seller fee)
Thy Take WAY to long to release your earrings then take way to long to deposit your earrings. You know they are earning interest on YOYR FUNDS. So of course they are going to take 4-6 weeks. They let unscrupulous buyers use and damage your items then return them for any reason. They give sellers that stupid line about not finding "fair market value" or just tell you it is being returned with no explanation and the seller has no recourse. They have already errand interest on those funds why not give a refund of " Tradsey credit" To the buyer but the seller that has done all the work gets nothing but a damaged unsellable item back. Poshmark protects the buyer AND the seller and charges less fees and no " transfer fee" Do not risk your items or you patients with Tradsey. With so many resell sites you would think Tradsey would realize the NEED sellers and give the seller protections.
Seller Beware! Take your items elsewhere
Unfortunately did not know my LV was counterfeit until it was sold and authenticated by a more reputable company. Tradesy is corrupt and even though they say they authenticate the merchandise sold- it I lie otherwise I would not be stuck with a fake $#*! LV. $700 in the trash. I would have got more enjoyment burning the money. I will get them shut down if it's the last thing I do! By the way they say it's been authenticated but give you a 4 day window to return if it's no authentic. Sound hypocritical to me, Anyone who shops that site should stop immediately, nothing but con artists!
I seen a lot of comments that it says they sell fake items here. I'm really afraid that the Dior I purchased is fake. Not trying to be racist I look at the destination of where the bag is coming from and it's coming from China. I'm Asian n I know there's a lot of A list replica there like they look real as $#*!. What should I do :(
Their return policy benefits tradesy and the seller is out a shipping insurance and signature fee. I sold Brand new Chanel Sandals $625 at a 10% higher commission than other sites at 20% thinking this company was a cut above the others. So disappointing, Not deserving of sellers product.
Brought purse on and return it know cant find my store credit some people say they take money want to order again but afraid to order already lost 435.00 dollars on purse
I sell on Mercari, eBay, & Poshmark. I used to sell on Tradesy but closed my acct today cuz it's awful. Sales are infrequent, fees are too high (to sell & also to cash out), plus it took over a week to cash out my earnings. They want to focus on higher end, luxury items but if customers have that kind of money, they're not likely to shop resale. Waste of time & money listing anything on Tradesy!
Without notifying sellers, Tradesy changed their return policy allowing buyers to return an item for ANY reason. I got a message that the item I sold was being returned because it didn't fit, even though it was correctly described. If I had known of the change in policy, I would have immediately removed ALL of my listings, but that's exactly why we weren't notified of the change. What a horrible way to treat a longtime member (now former member)! Never again will I be caught off guard with a company that operates in such a shady, unethical manner! Officially DONE!
So difficult to sell through this company and they hold on to YOUR money way to long. Customer service is a joke and it's scary these people authenticate designer bags with very limited knowledge. If you do have an issue they just give you the run around until you throw up your hands and give up. I wish they were monitored more because they need it... come on BBB you have plenty of complaints!
As other reviewers. I also sold something on Tradesy recently (during the Global Pandemic) I reached out asking when my funds would be released and got a surprise reply by someone named Blair saying during this Pandemic they are accepting ALL RETURNS. No matter what the reasoning is! (HOW SWEET OF THEM!) But guess who gets screwed over!? THE SELLER. The best and craziest part of it is - THEY DID NOT EVEN LET THE SELLERS KNOW. THEY JUST CHANGED IT ON THEIR OWN CLOCK, WITHOUT NOTIFYING US. THAT IS against the law! Sellers and BUYERS should know the exact return POLICY from a place before PURCHASING ANYTHING. I got a response from a sales REP named Sam SAYING " OUR WAREHOUSE IS CLOSED DUE TO A STAY AT HOME ORDER (EVEN THOUGH MOST BUSINESSES IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA IS OPENING TOMORROW) BUT NOT TO WORRY- because IT WILL BE SENT BACK TO TRADESY AND INSPECTED.
HMMM... SAM. I thought YOUR warehouse was closed. What is it going to be inspected for? I'm the ONE who sent it out. Why did you change your policy on us sellers? When were you planning on telling us. WHY are you guys doing things that are only beneficial to THE TRADESY TEAM. Where is the care for us sellers? This is a complete SCAM. I highly recommend dealing with POSHMARK AND EBAY ONLY. Tradesy WILL hold on to your money for as LONG as they can. THEY WILL LIE TO YOU ABOUT WHY THEY CANT release your funds.
So it seems like Tradesy has a new return policy again, but this time they accept NO RETURNS. As a seller, I think it's unacceptable. Considering the fact that sellers haven't even been notified about the new return policy, I'm not even sure its Legal.
Paying them 23% for what? Nope I'm done. Selling my last pieces and out.
If they change their policy and stop accepting returns for any reason like all other resale websites, maybe I'll rethink it.
But for now, bye-bye.
Won't be surprised to see more sellers to follow.
I purchased a $720 item from Chic Finds and they cancelled the order, raised the price by $100 and refused to honor original featured price. Tradesy let them get away with "correcting their listing" and has done nothing - including dropping the vendor - despite many emails requesting that they do so.
Tradesy changed its return policy, without disclosing it to the customers, which now requires that all returns must be send back to sellers, even thou the sellers represented items correctly and followed sellers policy. Normally Tradesy would be obligated to hold returned inventory. When I reached out to Tradesy, they said that "due to a pandemic we are not taking any returns". Tradesy warehouse is operating as every return is shipped to the warehouse, inspected by Tradesy staff, and than returned to a seller. So to say that because of the pandemic we are not taking returns is ridiculous. Not taking inventory is just more profitable for Tradesy and they are capitalizing given distressed market environment.
Tradesy returns on average take about 8 weeks, and chances are that you will not receive your item back (there is a huge error rate in shipping labels), and if you do get your item back most the time it will be in terrible condition Tradesy has relaxed rules for buyers in terms of returns and buyers can return items after 10+ post delivery. I am still waiting for two items to be returned to me since February.
As an ex seller I would not recommend Tradesy.
I will never purchase anything from tradesy again.
Purchased handbag from Coco-luxury weeks go by with no shipment and we I requested shipment date she would not give one. She was politely arrogant. Stating because of corona virus she couldn't give date. Yet I have received shipments from multiple companies no problem.
When I complained to Tradesy they canceled order stating bag was not up to standards. Left me hanging for weeks. No apology nothing.
Answer: Don't Do It! It takes at least 10 days to get paid. They prefer people that they can control. When you become successful, they will make upp a reason to suspend your account. TRADESY sell fakes, the owner is the closet owner of PENNY LANE It has been proven time and time again she sells Fakes. If you question TRADESY, they will shut your account down, and they do so WITHOUT even talking to you. Bunch of Bullies! Find an alternative. I AM IN THE MIST OF COMMENCING CLASS SUIT ACTION. THEY NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON!
Answer: They advertise a strict selling policy of authentic and accurate descriptions for listing. If by chance an item received is questionable, they have a review process to protect the buyer unlike many other sites out there.
Answer: It says that everything is guaranteed authentic but you have to know your stuff to know if it is authentic. Tradesy people don't see the items unless it is sold and the buyer complains about authenticity. So if you put your trust on tradesy, you are 100% WRONG and will get scammed.
Answer: Yep. Tradesy are infamous for holding your money! They will also refund a sale without any communication with the seller, they don't even tell you why. Tradesy hooked up with Authenticate First, these people don't know what they are doing. Well the messed up big time with my bag, see it was authenticated by a very reputable company. I have ALL my bags authenticated BEFORE I list for sale and of course have the documentation to prove it. The bag was in perfect shape. Tradesy are ignorant, unprofessional and teamed up with a company (authenticate first) who have their heads where the sun don't shine. Tradesy are totally so unprofessional they have not bothered to send me an email even notifying me of the refund, I only found out when I checked on the sales delivery date to find a little sentence that says "refunded". No explanation why, nor when I can expect my property back. Punks! I am still waiting to receive my bag back. I have read on other sites that Tradesy keep the returns and seller is SOL. One seller was screwed out of 2,500 and never received her property back. Tradesy are shady. Another seller has started a class uit action. It's about time Tradesy were taught a lesson and realized that they have no right to keep sellers property. Apparently they resell the items on another site. The person who started the class usit actin has proof of same. Ironically, although some were refunded allegedly for item being fake, they resell and state that it is authentic. I have removed all my items from this shady scam company. I hope the class suit action closes this scam company down!
Answer: Don't ever do business with Tradesy ever! Learned my lesson. Bought a Chanel bag that doesn't look like anything they showed. I took some pictures of what I received vs. what they showed on their listing. They still ignorantly argued that those are the same item. They refused to refund me back the money. I finally disputed it with the credit card company. Tradesy almost ripped me off of my $1,600
Answer: I do not shop with tradesy any longer. FAKE prada duffle bag and im done.
Answer: Eileen: There is not a feedback option on Tradesy as there is with ebay and Threadflip. If I were you, I'd contact Tradesy immediately. While the seller may have purchased a bunch of bags to resell, that would definitely make me nervous. How many days has it been since you purchased the handbag? The number of days that the seller has to confirm the sale may have elapsed so you'd be in the clear. We only have so many days to confirm that we will have the item will ship in a timely manner.
Answer: I would highly recommend you look at RealReal or even ebay as I have sold over 100 items on both and although there is occasionally that one off glitch, they do protect the seller and are very fair from a buyer perspective as well. Do not use Tradesy... everything negative you read in reviews is true unfortunately. I did finally get my money back from tradesy as a seller, but I threatened them to no end and actually emailed the CEO... RUN from this site... save yourself the craziness of poor business practices. Best of luck to you!
Answer: I just had a worst experience with customer service also. I bought a chanel bag over $3K and the condition of the bag received was not the same as what was listed. The authentication card was also missing and there was no dust bag as listed. When I tried to complain & return the item, Blair said that the bag left the headquarters in perfect condition. How did the two big black marks were there within 5 second I got it if it left the headquarter in perfect condition. Instead of trying to solve the issue with the seller about the auth card, she said I could re-list the item to recoup the fund? There was no sign that the item was on final sale. If I knew there were no authentication card and the item was on final sale, I would not spend over $3K for the bag. It was the worst experience of customer service they've had. Lesson learnt and I will not do any business with this site anymore. I will write to BBB and I hope people will do the same.
