I paid upfront, a reviewer has been assigned after several days and then I got pressured all over the process to meet their deadlines.
They give you only 7-10 days to complete your reviews and pressure you to close

It is clearly also my fault not being 100% on top of this, but i felt very unprofessional being treated this way when they got their money upfront. Just wanted to rush the process, and of course I feel I have not had enough interactions to make fine tunings to the resume

I so wish I had done deeper research before paying this company. I had many of the same experiences that others cite. They claim they will match you with a writer from your industry. NOT TRUE. My writer obviously knew nothing about my industry, omitting my experience working for the biggest retailer in the world. The goal I made clear in wanting my resume rewritten was completely ignored - they obviously were not skilled enough to do what I requested. Writer was obviously not a native English speaker. What I received is completely unusable. It appears that the writers are given a crash course in resume formatting and a list of buzz-words. They are in NO WAY professionals. I don't blame the writers - I think they are people who just need a job and are being exploited by the unscrupulous owners of this company.

I ordered two resumes. One for my husband who works in the auto industry and I am a teacher.

I was told "Writing experts" in each of our fields would contact us once we completed the job questionnaire.

The entire process was confusing. I had to call to clarify and see what was going on after receiving a resume for my mechanic husband as a teacher.

After complaining, two resumes were completed within 24 hours. I felt the writer just rushed them and same person wrote each of our resumes.

I've contacted customer support and have never heard back. I'm not sure how their reviews are so high. My federal resume was only two pages! I was told by several federal employees that their resumes were over four pages long

I previously worked for Talentinc who owns TopResume, TopCvV, CVknowhow, TopInterview and oh yeah ZipJob! All of these companies are owned by the same brand and have the same customer service. We are told to lie and say ZipJob is not and owned by another brand by that's lie. The writers are not trained at all and most have never worked in the industry they are writing for or have even written at all before. They don't include a lot of information regarding the process or time on their website because they know it will bring less business. If you have ever left a voicemail and never heard back it's because they don't listen to them there are over 1000 unheard voicemails in the folder currently. They have a no refund policy but if you go through your bank and report fraud for their services you will get your money back. Everything the complaints and BBB reports say are true and the company is a scam. They charge up to $400 to rewrite your resume but it's done by a random $#*! person who is not trained or writes professionally. Yes they lie when they say the writers are American they are everywhere around the world some who first language is not English.

Unfortunately, my experience with TopResume has been anything but positive.
The first draft was riddled with typos - seriously, over 5. Very careless, and not professional.
I am applying for Director and VP level jobs. I was informed that this is the process and this is why they have review, is for me to catch their mistakes.

Along with the typos the writer changed wording that made no sense - changed the media & entertainment vertical to entertainment media. These are not the same things.

TopResume says they put you with writers who understand your field/vertical.\When I asked them to find a new writer - they said they do not recommend that because then I am put to the back of the queue. Sorry - if I just paid you $200, why have I been waiting for 4 weeks to get a halfway decent resume.

The last time I heard from them I was informed they found me a new writer and I should hear back within 24 hours. 6 days later I reached out and asked for a refund as, once again, crickets on their end.

Here is the latest response "I see that your draft is late. I have contacted your new writer for an update. If your writer does not reach out within 1 business day, please reach out to us.
As compensation for the delay, I would like to offer you a complimentary Post-Interview Thank You Letter".

Seriously, you haven't been able to do the job you were hired for a month ago, let's not worry about adding something I don't want or need.

Can not recommend it. They are too busy, due to cv-19, and keep taking on clients without servicing the clients who have already paid.

Disputed the charge on my credit card.
They fought it... but yet haven't done the work. They offered to do a free "thank you letter"

Top Resume has been a terrible experience for me. After receiving one very rough draft of a resume from my writer and immediately providing feedback, communication was ostensibly cut off. Days would go by and when I requested the latest draft, I was told I would receive it "soon." After about 2 weeks, and their deadline for feedback passing, I requested a refund because none of the deliverables from my order has been received. Their reply was that they provide "intangible goods" and therefore do not give refunds. I told them that a complete resume is a very tangible good and it had been delivered.

They continued to deny a refund and I have been forced to ride it out with my resume writer replying sporadically. It all feels like an expensive scam at the moment and customers appear to have no meaningful recourse when the product(s) they ordered are not delivered.

Andrea was awesome. I would get a draft and any changes were worked in usually within a couple of hours. The format of both resume and LinkedIn profile were top notch. I highly recommend!

I had a wonderful experience working with the staff at top resume, the experience was very enjoyable, the process smooth and the end product exceptional! I would highly recommend them if you're looking for a quality cv.
I compared my old resume to my new one and the new one is miles ahead. They took the experience I had and worded it such that it makes me look like I have an extra ten years in the field!
