The company enjoys a generally positive reputation for its unique subscription boxes filled with a delightful variety of Japanese snacks, praised for their quality and reliable, fast shipping. Many customers appreciate the thematic approach and informative booklets included with each box, enhancing their experience. However, concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly issues related to auto-renewals and a lack of responsive support when problems occur. While many customers express satisfaction with the product, frustrations about billing practices and inadequate assistance suggest a need for improved customer service protocols to enhance overall satisfaction.

Reasonable shipping, liked most of the items in the box. I would recommend trying it at least once since, everyone's tastes are different this may not be for you.
Every month has a great selection of treats from Japan. I love the different Kit Kat's we get to try. Also the different drinks are fun to share and try.
I love this because you have every month something new from Japan and I love Japan as well as all the KitKats that Japan offers... it's just amazing to taste all of this :)
I have purchased Tokyo Treat boxes I believe 6 times, the boxes in the past have been pretty fun and offered some interesting snacks. The Aug 2020 box is pretty lame, one piece of gum, one bland rice cracker, a few wasabi peas, vanilla coke, no extra treats a reduced zine, for $50 I won't be buying again.
Tokyo Treat Box is so fun! It allows my kids to remember there many years living in Japan trying different treats, snacks and drinks from the Konbinis
I got my box more than 2 months later but I can't blame the company for that. I got all my snacks and it's really good. I will buy again
Been buying this for this entire year and it's been great! A lot of the snacks they choose are unique and I think it's great
Worst customer service team, I ran Into a terrible box that had open food and was damaged. During these critical time of consumer health safety they refused a refund or reshipment. I stated I'd continue my business else where and the company didn't cancel my subscription, charging me $45 additional $'s. I contacted their support again to request a stop shipment and refund and they denied me again for a refund. I was Forced to take it up with my bank for a refund.
The snacks in the box are also so small in comparison to the price you pay, at a traditional Japanese grocery store these items might total $12 but they're turning around and selling the same products for $35 without free shipping which runs at $10 per box.
Price wise and content wise TokyoTreat is both the best Japanese snack and general snack subscription box that I've ever had. The quality of the food and the size or the food given gives you the best quality for what you pay.
Over all pretty decent, I'm always excited when I get a new box in the mail. I would say the upgraded shipping is the way to go too. I had the regular and it took a good month before my box showed up.
I love Tokyo Treat. It is fun to see what I get each month, and the snacks are delicious and I'm impressed with the variety!
It's a great subscription box and has plenty to try and great drinks as well this month a got a cool Pepsi bottle with a great design
Paid tokyotreat for a mystery box monthly subscription. At the end of April the the box was never recieved. The company upcharged customers for promised shipping during covid. Tokyo treat informed me to wait a bit longer. I contacted them again at the end of may asking to be consolidated for my time. Again I was told to wait. June I reached out 2 more times. I was told to check with my post office and was assured the box was already shipped. July 7th I rather out again and am now being tokd to wait until the box returns so they can reship?
On their page and review sites, you can see that this is a common thing now. They charge for services, and then lie about the product coming. They also charge hidden fees
Great delivery time. Great treats. Thank you for the hard work. Don't plan to unsubscribe in the near future.
I was very pleasantly surprised how fast this box came. Still waiting for the other ones to come but this makes me so happy. I can't wait to try and share these treats with my friends on future picnics! Thank you from Canada!
Shipping was abit long and price was abit high but the product is worth it, I really like the variety and quality of the product
The box came so quickly and everything was super fresh! Will probably upgrade to premium to get the drink and Kit Kat's, but you get a lot for what you pay for!
We love getting our boxes. The food is usually good and even when it isn't it's still interesting to try and see our reactions. The only issue have been over shipping during the COVID pandemic so it been a lot more expensive.
Fast shipping w/ DHL is a bonus. Less chance of chocolate melting, and less people handling it which is a good thing in a pandemic.
Treats contained within have a decent variety. Loving the Kitkats especially. Only issue I have is the handful of smaller candies in each box. Though it is understandable, as you can only fit so much in there without crushing something.
Our family looks forward to our box from Tokyotreat every month, even my picky eaters. It's lots of fun to try out all the new things.
Answer: It is one of the worst ones out there. If anything goes wrong they refuse any sort of customer service. No refunds, no placements even if the box never arrives.
Answer: It usually takes days to get a response & only through email. Quite frustrating.
Answer: I had both TokyoTreat and a similar service at the same time, and I consistently found the value and variety of TokyoTreat to be better than the other subscription.
