Good people and always available to help when issues come up. Not as good coverage but hardly noticable. It has been a good decision for me.

The website is incredibly annoying to access and navigate. It takes forever to load. Whenever you need customer service online, the replies takes a solid 30 minutes or more! And when you call in? Well that takes even longer because you have to keep repeating yourself and they stay treating you like an idiot. The steps to change plans makes everything so much harder to do. They make you make a whole new account and that takes a day or two and then you lose access to your online information and then suddenly you are overdue on the new plan's payment and it is all your fault.

I never write reviews, but I felt if even one person reads this and makes a decision then maybe it'd be worth it. The first day I walked in to buy a new phone with them, they still had an issue that never resolve

After 18 years of NEVER LATE monthly payments totaling over $25,000.00, Tmobile turned my phone off 3 weeks after getting a payment of 2/3 full payment ($150.00 vs. $190.00). Before making a partial payment, I called to tell them I could not make the whole payment and asked to make arrangements for payment. 3 weeks later, they turned my phone off. Needless to say, I expect better treatment from a business that I've paid over 25 grand and 18 years customer loyalty. NO MORE. Thank you for $#*!ty service. Not to mention, spotty coverage even with a personal cell spot in my own home. Don't go with Tmobile. Anything has to be better!

They can't be trusted
December 24, 2018

Never Trust anyone that works for T-Mobile. They will lie to you to make a sale. Any sale! Online or in their store, they only care about new customers. Once they have you, they will never give you a chance at better rates or deals. The NEW deals are ONLY for NEW customers. They have NO loyalty to long term customers. Do yourself a favor, NEVER do business with T-Mobile!

Joined tmobile on 8-28-18, got my SIM card on 8-30-18. I had my own phone. I signed up for 2lines on the military plan as i am a veteran. My son was already a tmobile customer before i joined. Seemed to be a big issue about getting all my sons stuff transfered to my account. Then we ran into problems cause my phone wont access their app, then their was an issue cause my phone wont work on wifi calling and then i decided to get one of their phones so i dont have all these problems. They said and i quote we cant let you finance a phone cause you havent been with us long enough! They said my credit was good enough that i didnt need to pay a deposit but yet its not good enough to be able to finance a phone. Well if your store associate would have told me the truth about the problems my phone would have on the tmobile network I would have stayed with my old service provider! Now here i sit on tmobile with a phone that barely works on your network unable to finance a phone for a year and this is how they treat veterans? Hummm

We were with T-mobile in the past and did not have very good coverage. The last straw was when one of the specialist switched the auto pay from my son's card to my bank account without our knowledge or permission.
When we heard that the 600 and 700 mhz service was good in rural areas we decided to give them another try. Two months in and I have spent half my life trying to work with the office of the president to no avail. When we went into the store we were told that they would pay our switching fees from our old carrier. I even asked them to "double check" and was assured we would be paid for all four of our devices.
My son and daughter live in another state and the salesperson at that store sold him a x phone which apparently deducted 310.00 off switching fees which was never explained. My daughter turned in an essential which we still to this day have not been reimbursed for. When we asked for the phone back since they were not going to pay what they promised they will not return! Basically they hijacked the phone.
We waited as we were instructed for the last bill from our previous carrier. We turned it in only to have them tell us a phone was reimbursed the last time we were with T-mobile, however, my daughter never turned in a phone and the two of the specialist verified that no phones were turned in.
Consequently, I wrote the better business bureau and the Office of the President has now given us different information. Tney claim a phone was turned in and a card was issued for it in in the past, however, they sent the card to someone other than the account holder. They are so disorganized at the expense of an innocent consumer. This has been going on for a month and now it puts us past the 14 day return period.
Bottom line is that T-mobile sales associates lied to us and gave us bad information over and over until it was too late to change our minds. Had they given us correct information to begin with; we would never have switched back
Nobody at T-mobile has access to the proper information to give to consumers to base their decisions on. This is very deceptive and should not be allowed. They "took" my daughter's phone and will not return it and haven't reimbursed what it was worth. We would have turned the phone back to the previous carrier and gotten more than what we were given for the phone had the T-mobile rep given us accurate information. We are senior citizens now stuck with a huge bill from our previous carrier we were not anticipating based on lies told to us by several T-mobile employees. We will have to pass on needed medical appointments in order to pay our previous carrier.
We could never recommend T-mobile to anybody. They lie to the consumer and they took our phone without reimbursement. T-mobile has been a NIGHTMARE for us and we wish we never switched back

I've had Tmobile for close to 15 yrs. The costs have been ok. Warranty replacements have been ok. Cell signal in my area of Las Vegas is real bad - probably not enough tower power. But I can deal with that if I use wifi for calling at home which I do.

What the really awful thing is the knowledge level of their tier 1 tech support. They waste time trying to artificially sympathize with your issue instead of a brief apology and getting right to the troubleshooting. BUT, my advice is if you need to call tech support, CALL AT LEAST THREE TIMES! I constantly get a different answer from each tech to qxs that aren't rocket science; most of the time just one answer will be right. I've been skeptical of their solutions, and have simply used online search and Youtube, and have gotten the right answer that way. I suppose I should be grateful that even if they are unknowledgeable, at least they're polite and not nasty to you.

My only consolation is that everyone says that other carriers' tech support is worse. Still Tmobile's tech support is deficient.

No dropped calls
June 2, 2017

I personally never had an issue with dropped calls or cost to maintain a T-Mobile phone. I don't need to buy a phone via T-Mobile but the prepaid works perfect.

They took my money
May 16, 2017

I have been loyal to this company for many years. I have always paid my bill on time, and I always referred friends and family to this company. Today, I have a different view:
Last month, my boyfriend and I changed our plan to the $100 for 2 line plan. You must be on an automatic payment cycle to receive this discount. Well, last week, Tmobile made an error, and deducted $173.40 TWICE! Because of this, my bank was withdrawn, and my other bills for the month were also being deducted. Chase charges $34 per withdrawn payment. I was charged $64 last week, and today, and addition charge was taken out. I was told by multiple operators that they were going to refund my account, as well as refund my over charge fees. However, they did not do that. I was specific in asking to have the money RETURNED BACK INTO MY BANK ACCOUNT! I still have bills to pay. However, only the $173.90 was returned to my bank account. The withdrawn charges were not. Tmobile applied the $64 to the next billing cycle, even after I was PROMISED it would be in my bank account.
This company, even after you are loyal to them, will not help you when they have made a mistake. I am a student, and I live my life on a strict budget. I pay my bills on time, but because of TMOBILS mistake, I am completely out of $94 in my bank account. That $94 was supposed to pay for my school loan payment and my utility bills. This company is not reliable. They are thieves. Sure, the credited my next billing cycle, but what good is that to me? I need my money back into my bank account to pay my house hold bills and school bill. Tmobile promised me the money into my bank, but today, another representative informed me that they are unable to return the money back into my bank account. They lied to me. They record their your calls, and I promise you that I was told my money was going to be credited back into my bank account, BUT THEY LIED! Worst phone company. Do not sign up with them. They will take your money.

Ripoff scam
July 20, 2015

Don't know what happened to the first review but there's a lot of incorrect spelling. T Mobile has a way of collecting an extra $10 per customer if the customer does not pay attention. Most people paid her cell phone bill directly off of their phone, they go to their account and follow the prompts but when you do that with T Mobile, for instance if your bill is 60 plus tax when you click on pay on the next page it will tell you your total is 70 plus text. But if you dial star add and go through the same automated system it will tell you 60 + tax and that's what it will take off of your card so beware if you pay directly through your phone without dialing the star add you're going to pay an additional $10 for your bill.

Billing Practices
June 7, 2015

I cancelled my contract early as I was having problems with my service and paying considebly more than with my last provider. I was told I had to pay a fee for early termination and I was ok with that. To my surprise, they also billed me a whole month and gave me different answers as to why. Finally, I was told that the charge was because I was taking my number with me. But, guess what? I had transfered the number from my previous provider to T-mobile!

I have been a loyal T-Mobile customer for over 10 years. I remain with this phone company because of the quality customer service that they provide. Don't get me wrong I have changed carriers a couple of times throughout the years just because I thought the grass would be greener on the other side. Boy, I was sadly mistaken and disappointed and always came back to my #1 cell phone provider. So yes, I love them and recommend them to all.

Since T-Mobile was being bought out by ATT, their customer service went down hill. They tried to scam us and for this we stopped using them. We were charged for calls overseas when we bought a phone card and could prove we were calling a 1800 number in person at a T-Mobile Store, yet they would not hear us, they said that the lines crossed over charging us huge fees when we should have saved. Other T-Mobile agents admitted to us that they had the same thing happen to them. If we took them to court we could have won but its the hassle to do it. We instead decided NOT to use T-Mobile for our phone plans. Very irritating company!
