I would suggest that you reconsider using only FedEx Home Delivery service. Bear in mind I only live about 15 miles from your facility, but with free shipping, why not ship them instead of driving to pick them up.
My tires were shipped on Wednesday and the FedEx website confirmed delivery by end of the day Thursday. No tires on Thursday, and a call to FedEx confirmed they would be delivered by end of the day Friday. Still no tires on Friday. I called FedEx who told me they were in their Bethlehem facility (as tracking confirmed, they were there since 6:40am on Thursday). I asked FedEx to hold them and I'd pick them up on Saturday morning.
Turns out that FedEx Home Delivery uses contractors to deliver their packages. And they are apparently paid "by the stop". So no one wanted to delivery very bulky tires (takes up a lot of space) to one address when they could deliver a whole lot more packages that take up less space (and consequently get paid more).
So who knows how long the tires would have sat in the Bethlehem FedEx warehouse, especially this time of year, had I not picked them up myself.
In summary, it might be nice to offer the customer a choice of delivery options. I can tell you, I will be certain to come directly to your warehouse next time I order.

One tire was plugged very close to the sidewall. Delivery time was not acceptable. Did not receive deliveries at same day.
