I get all my hiking boots from Timberland! I know they're not always the most stylish, but my boots last a long time and are really waterproof and comfortable which is all I really care about. Excellent for camping or any outdoor activity.

A couple of weeks ago I dropped over 500lbs of steel over my foot... The boot deflected the mass and really I ended up with pretty much just a bad bruise... I fully stand behind these safety boots! Wouldn't consider any other brand!

Timberland low top hiker
November 11, 2019

Order the shoe again because it was very comfortable, They lasted almost two years, order again the same kind, they changed the insole of the shoe with a cheaper one very uncomfortable. Not going to buy again.

I first bought some Timberland deck shoes in the '80s sometime - not sure just when... and have replaced them with the same - comfortable, durable, good quality. I recently ordered my 3rd pair... wow, what a disappointment. I don't know if the company has changed hands, or what. Sole color is now stark white - which I'm not fond of, but the worst part was the new 'inner sole' - a nice piece of smooth leather, which at first I thought was a good touch - is absurd. I can just envision some eager MBA 'Bottom Line' Clown saying "Hey - I know what! We can save a buck per shoe if we only run that innersole part way up the shoe! And some dim-witted Exec. Said 'OK'!

So, you have this nice HALF innersole that curls up every time you remove your foot from the shoe. I'll never buy another Timberland shoe of any kind. They've become money-grubbing 'Bottom Line Babies'.

Fraud in Smithfield NC
December 17, 2016

Credit card information was stolen days after I purchased items from the Smithfield NC location. The credit card company alerted me and prevented a $560 charge: someone made purchases for Timberland merchandise. After researching further reviews of this store, I contacted the store and the corporate office since, according to other reviews about this store, this is not the first time. Wish I knew earlier.

Buyer beware!
December 19, 2018

Buyer beware? Timberland does NOT stand by their products. I bought a pair of shoes and after 1 day of wear the dye ruined a pair of my khakis! Timberland said a refund could not be given because they were used! How do you know they're defective until worn? They want to force me purchase more poorly made merchandise by way of a gift card! Um, NO!

I purchased nubuc splitrock 2 hiking boots 4 months ago and at this point they have degraded to tramp standard. The stitching at the back on BOTH PAIRS tore and the side ankle cushioning began to badly fray.

I contacted Timberland Customer services and they had the audacity to call it wear and tear!

Advertised as premium hiking boots
Degrade that badly in only 4 months!
£130 cost price

Avoid Timberland like the plauge if you want value for money.

Timberland MT Maddsen
November 3, 2021

I bought these women's hiking boots for work and hiking. They are uncomfortable, had to buy inserts, not warm. And then found out them to not be waterproof during rain. Tried to return them 10mo old, and after much effort Timberland denied my claim. So glad I spent $ 90 on fashion boots to wear in pleasant weather. Do not purchase.

I had to sent a pair of boots back that fell apart. Timberland honored Their warranty but instead of replacing the boot they issued me a gift card. Well fine but the gift card was considerable less then what I paid and did not cover the cost of shipping boots back to them either.
I used the gift card on timberland.com bought another pair of boots also having to spend more money out of pocket to get a boot that should have been replaced at no charge. They sent me the wrong boot and when I called to inform them I was ignored and basically told too bad! My only option was to return them and wait for another refund before reordering? Really?! Timberland you have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. You have lost a loyal customer forever...

I bought these top grain leather, steel toed insulated boots a couple of years ago. They get very little wear as I have other steel toes I wear when it is warm. I put these on to do a trenching job and as I walked to the shop to get some tools it looked as if smoke were puffing out of the soles. By the time I got to the shop the right sole literally fell off and the left one partially fell off. As you can see by the photos these are essentially new. Never subjected to oils or solvents and worn very little. Very expensive to purchase and very cheaply made...

I bought a pair that first lasted me a year then i bought another pair that lasted me a 3 months I contacted the warranty department and it took them 2 weeks to get back to me and after told me I could send my old pair back and they would fix them or send me a new pair. I emailed them pictures and it took them a week to tell me I needed to send pictures of the tongue rag code and then in a hour told me they where manufactured over a year ago. Quads they don't know things take awhile to ship and stay on store shelves for awhile. I'm not buying these again. Nor do I endorse this junk.

I ordered Women's Earthkeepers® Stratham Heights Strappy Sandals from timberland.com on 7/16/14. Whenever I checked order status it was showing "Item(s) located in stock". After a week later I called them and they "informed" me that because of issue on their warehouse they canceled my order. They never sent email, message or never called to just let me know. Their only excuse was "We are sorry".
Do not order from their online store, if you desperately want to wear Timberland order from somewhere else.

I made a purchase 11 months ago for my Dad. He hardly wore his shoes and the right one literally came apart at the seems. The shoe repair man said they were not repairable so I contacted TImberland Customer Service. They advised my to ship these in for warranty coverage, and I did. Weeks later they returned them denying coverage due to my lack of receipt. It is clear these shoes were barely worn, but without a receipt, even though my purchase was within a year, the defer to the manufacturing date. SO, the news is, the initial rep I spoke to deceived my, and Timberland did not stand behind their product.

POOR QUALITY,+POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE = loss of a long term customer.

Caveat Emptor!

The website is down half of the time I try to visit it. I cannot send a support request because it says for me to prove I'm not a robot but there is no captcha. The size chart does not regard the length of men's bottoms and it's not on the same scale the product is. What a truly sucky service
