Brought 2 tix to Some Like it hot in Chicago, figured there would be some service fees, but NOWHERE, NOWHERE, NOWERE were they stated on the page. NOT UNTIL payment was confirmed and accepted was the $100 service fee added.
I purchased tickets on this site thinking I was purchasing through the venue. It is misleading and I didn't realize that it was a resale ticket. Of course I was shocked to see a service fee of $187 and I called. They told me that indeed the total does show up but only after you've picked a delivery method. I recreated my experience and discovered that it does show up in tiny gray print in a side column. Dodgy stuff here. After seeing all the similar complaints I see others have had the same experience. I won't know for a couple of months if I will even get my tickets which are supposed to come electronically 2 days before the event. It appears some of these tickets are double sold. Nice. Please stay away from this site. I'd like to help others from making the same mistake.

I went to the website of my local theater to purchase two $12 tickets to a film showing. When I clicked on the link BUY TICKETS, somehow, unbeknownst to me, I was connected to this third party site that is a rip off. The charge was $24 per ticket. I saw that amount and assumed that it was for the two tickets. NOWHERE and I mean NOWHERE was there a mention of a service charge or an email charge. I completed the purchase and after the fact, in a confirmation email, I saw that the total purchase for TWO $12 tickets was $70.52. $15.60 "service charge" and $6.95 for "email delivery". I am amazed that this site does not have a zero rating. Such deceptive, duplicitous practices should be stopped. I am 84 years old and have been purchasing tickets online for over 40 years and NEVER has anything like this happened. It is definitely BUYER BEWARE when dealing with sites such as this. The practice of allowing third-party sites to horn in on legitimate venues should be stopped. Oh, and I called the shysters at Ticket sales to complain and the rep told me that they can charge anything they want to. Isn't that nice? That practice should be outlawed too. How do these people sleep at night when a $24 charge turns into $70.52? It is highway robbery. I have contacted my credit card company and am waiting to hear from them about this.

Ordered tickets in January for a late august show and as of august 19th I'm still waiting on tickets. Hoping they'll come since the email to view your order doesn't work. There is no way to lookup your order online and the longest wait to try to talk to someone. This doesn't even begin to address their fees that are about 1/3 the price of a ticket.

Bought tix - when recd tix stated original price $62.50 each. Between fees and whatever (?) ended up paying $291.06 only to be informed by the venue these tix "may or may not be legit" and I'd have to wait until I show up to find out! Tried to get a refund and got a lot of BS lip service. Company is clearly a legal loophole way for tix scalpers to use. Totally a scam site to run away from - FAST!

I ordered 6 tickets online at the advertised price of $90 per ticket. I had to submit my credit card before reviewing the final price and was shocked to find the total price was $754.31. That is $214 more than six times $90. I understood that I was on a resale site and later saw the regular ticket price was $63. I would gladly accept the $90 per ticket price but don't understand the extra $214 charge plus the fact that it was "hidden" until the purchase cleared.

Here's my story:
I searched online for the event that I wanted to attend. I opened the first tag that came up and thought that I was on the site hosting the event. I went through the purchasing process, and I ended up paying three times the amount of the ticket due to added hidden fees. As soon as I realized my mistake, I called the company immediately. They told me that my order had already been confirmed by the seller and that because of this, they could not offer a refund. I had literally called them 10 minutes after I placed the order. They did suggest that I could sell my ticket and maybe even make a profit. Not sure how that was supposed to happen when the selling fees are so high. But being that this was my only option, I started the process of selling my ticket. It turns out that only "Premium Members" can sell tickets on that site. Not wanting to pay to become a "Premium Member" I decided to take the financial hit and decided to warn others about this companies criminal procedures. Do not do business with Ticketsales.com and make sure that you are not guided to their site unsuspectingly.

BE CAREFULL! This is a scam website! I bought tickets to an event. While the price is $4-6/ticket, this website sells it for $31/ticket. Worst of all, it dose not provide breakdown charges or list the service fee which costs more than $30. I called immediately after the purchase and was told it was non-refundable.

Very bad service, they sell a ticket office for an event that has already started and you call to make a claim because they don't have anyone to answer the call in Spanish. You lose your money. I don't recommend it at all and I'm still waiting for my money back. It's a scam.

They mislead that they are the venue. They never show you a total charge until after you agree "All Sales are Final." Then they tack on a large service charge. By the time you see the total, it's too late to cancel.
