Yes I need to cancel my account the 4 choices available to describe my business is causing an influx of undesirable quote requests. I want to shut it down. I have asked to add my field to the list but they could not promise me that it would change.
I had some large trees topped and trimmed that havent ever been trimmed in 23 years. They did a great job, cleaned up the mess and was very timely and easy to work with. Would recommend to anyone!
I tried the first time to get gardening service and this vendor called and responded and promised to come onsite at, and guess what they didn't show up. What kind of service is this and there is no rating or review for the vendor on the site, waste of time and garbage. Will not use again. Horrible business model.
I used Thumbtack.com to find a hardwood floor refinisher.
I located a 11 times 5 star reviewed company called DLS flooring on Thumbtacks website. Thumbtack says theyve been background checked and vetted, licensed and insured. I found DLS Flooring at 110 East 177th street apt -1-F Bronx, NY ******* *******727.
I paid $1000 out of $1500 to Albert Ramos to refinish hardwood floors.
DLS Flooring came and destroyed my hardwood floors. The damage he caused will cost $6870 to repair, because he buffed away the wood stain of the wood, and it needs to be resanded and stained.
In text exchanges, Albert Ramos of DLS says hes not insured. I could not locate a license in NYC Dept. of Consumer Affairs. Thumbtack represented this company as background checked, and claimed 5 star rating 11 times.
The company wont refund the money paid, or pay for damages.
Thumbtack. Coms business model does not work and your audience need to know about it to protect themselves in the future.

Hired them to do deep cleaning, I wish I could post pictures to show you how terrible they did, I barely heard the water run. Would NEVER use them or refer them to anyone.
The concept is brilliant and the website looks great, but in reality- they do not check the background, licenses and qualifications of the service providers. Some people present themselves as professionals, do shoddy work, cause damage, rip off and disappear. They don't even check if the business really exists. Thumbtack takes no responsibility for that. They also have a class action law suit waiver. I would stay away from that website, better check reviews on real business on Yelp.
I was very very satisfied with " Inner sanctum Movers" They got the job done in a timely manner, The grew were very respectfully, I thought I would need Two Storages, but was told, to hold out, they would make it work and They came through that was a Tremendous Saving for me! Planning on calling INNERSANCTUM MOVERS... In the near future once I move into my New Home. GREAT Service!
I contacted Thumbtack when I was looking for someone to power wash my house etc.
I was contact by four or five companies.I went with Elite Property Services Group, Gary Harvey. I found Mr.Harvey to be an outstanding individual and their work was outstanding.
I would not hesitate to contact them again and would high recommend them.
I hired Harris Grounds Management from Thumbtack. Ryan Frawley is so full of BS. He has not finished the deck job, taken down all the fence around my pool and left the job. He was "overwhelmed", had a tree fall on his truck, broke two ribs, has mononucleosis, had a crew quit on him, and on on - He does not answer phone calls, responds with a text of excuses. I am suing him in court. We have been forced to put up snow fence around our pool for safety until another fencing company can fit us into their schedule. We have been unable to entertain or use our backyard because of this company's ineptitude! Thumbtack needs to remove this company don't sent anymore unsuspecting people to him.
He did an excellent job on the remodeling of my bathroom everything was to my liking and I was completed satisfied. I would definitely recommend this company to my family friends.
Thumbtack sucks I was running a great honest low income DJ business until they suspended my account for my age although everything I handle for my age is proper and legal.
I was in search of someone to repair my desk top computer. I used Thumbtack to assist me in locating that someone. Thumbtack referred me to Jun Kim, who did an excellent job. He repaired my computer in a reasonable amount of time at a very reasonable price. Alma
I highly recommend Masons Plumbing. I needed to have my water heater replaced, they came out within a few hours, were very reasonable and fair. Will and Wes were very professional and personable and did great work. I will absolutely call them for future plumbing needs!

Hired his company to paint, flooring installation and miscellaneous repairs. Did sub-standard work and never finished after he was paid. He promised at least 6 times to come back to finish, but never showed up. Seems like a nice guy, but can't be trusted to do what he says he will do.
Ben was great, very sociable and friendly. Work was done right the first time. Would highly recommend him for any of your plumbing needs.
I was looking for a local personal trainer because I was tired of belonging to health clubs and after a few weeks of joining, rarely going. I came across Pam Harrelson on thumbtack. I read her bio and was impressed but the clinching factor was that she was a Christian. I saw this as a confirmation to try her and she was perfect for me. Pam has a lot of personal experience as a trainer and someone who worked for years with a doctor who specialized in nutrition. For the first time in my life I did not dread working out and quite enjoyed our time together. Lisa B
Diana Kaeding teaches Voice Lessons in Bradenton FL and I have been going for a couple of months now and will continue. I wasn't sure I could sing at all (just a beginner) when I first began lessons, but Diana has really helped me tremendously. I recommend her highly!
The crew was very professional and they worked very quickly to get me moved into my new apartment. They were very friendly and personable. There was a delay for them to get to the location, but that is understandable given that there was a severe thunderstorm at the time they were scheduled to arrive, so we had to move it forward and they were delayed with the customer before me. But once they got there, everything was taken care of, and more quickly than I anticipated. They were able to get everything done in a two hour period and there was some big furniture which needed to be broken down and put back together again. There were a few scratches on the bed headboard, but I was able to cover them with scratch cover.
I would recommend their services to anyone wanting help with a local move in Jefferson City or Columbia.
