I dig it- good to great deals on a ton of great products that anyone wanting a natural lifestyle and quality organic & natural products will want. Less expensive than Whole Foods, almost always, and many items less expensive than Sprouts (which I LOVE, but my local Sprouts is a bit far, so I love the delivery I get with Thrive.). Try it- ya get 30 days free to check it out.
Signed up for free 30 day trial and decided they didn't have enough items I want to justify a $59.95 yearly membership fee. I followed their instructions to cancel, sent them an email saying, "I want to cancel..." and instead I was sent an email saying "since you are thinking about canceling" and was offered $39.95 yearly membership instead. I wasn't "thinking", I wrote "I want to cancel". You can't get any more direct than that. But they billed me $39.95 anyway, even though I said I don't want their service, and am now waiting for my refund.
Thank you for reaching out. We appreciate your feedback regarding the cancelation processes. We try to make multiple communication channels available including email, chat, phone, and sms, and like to offer a membership plan to those wishing to cancel to see if perhaps a different option will work better for their lifestyle. A response to an email or through any means will confirm the cancelation and refund, if applicable. Please email help@thrivemarket.com if you have further questions.
Copying another person review:
Thrive Market charges a membership fee of 59.95 automatically after first order and then annually. This is pretty steep for a one time use.
Customer service is horrible.
No phone line service, only online chat seriously messed up!
Thank you for reaching out, and we're sorry that this caught you by surprise. It sounds like you were enrolled in our free 30-day trial membership that began when you placed your order. We do our best to communicate how the trial membership works on our website, at checkout for your first order, and in an email reminder 5 days before the charge is processed. At the end of the 30-day period, we charge the $59.95 annual membership fee, and we guarantee that you’ll make it back in savings over the year. We provide 24/7 chat, email, phone and SMS services if you don't feel the membership will work out. Again, we’re sorry your experience wasn’t better—please contact our Member Services team at help@thrivemarket.com if you have any additional questions or issues and we’ll be happy to resolve them.

I agreed to a six month membership when chatting with a representative. Turns it out it was auto-subscribed after those six months. Thrive Market refused to reimburse anything to me. I would NOT recommend using this company.
Thank you for reaching out! We're sorry you didn't not have a good experience! Our membership model is an autorenewal membership much like many other companies in order to be more convenient to our members who wish to continue to use our service. We do offer discounted memberships but unless a request is made to cancel the renewal after that point the membership following the discounted promotion would charge based on this membership model. We’re sorry your experience wasn’t better—please contact our Member Services team at help@thrivemarket.com if you have any additional questions or issues and we’ll be happy to resolve them
I signed up and within the time allowed and using the email address provided specifically to cancel, I sent multiple messages to cancel. They never responded and charged me. Had to go through Better Business Bureau to get reimbursed. Company's responses via BBB were obnoxious. Definitely think twice before signing up.
Terrible customer service! We were getting ready to start our child on a special diet and wanted to place an order. I also wanted to apply for thrive gives but I had questions. No one wanted to answer the questions, they just told me to apply, so I did. My husband is a high school guidance counselor and coach, and I am a nurse. My question was simple: do either of those count as either first responder or teacher to qualify for thrive gives. It was frustrating that no one would answer this question and instead I took the time to fill out the application. In the meantime I went ahead and placed an order because as I said earlier we were getting ready to start our son on a special diet. I never heard back from anyone about the thrive gives application, but now on my membership status it says I'm a thrive gives member. I thought I should double-check to make sure that I was in fact approved (since my account clearly stated I am now at thrive gives member) and that I will not be charged another membership fee at the end of my paid membership. Sure enough, "Justin" told me that I am not a thrive gives member because after I placed an order, my thrive gives application was canceled. It made zero sense to me. Especially since no one ever mentioned that my application would be canceled if I paid them a membership fee and placed an order. And I never received any communication stating that my application was now cancelled since I was a paying member. Also, the only reason I can think of that it actually says I am a thrive gives member, is so that I would not even think to cancel my membership before they charge my credit card again because I would assume it was free. I'm really glad I checked. Justin seemed very disinterested in my confusion and disappointment. There was never once an apology for the confusion and lack of communication or a "how can I make this right"? He just repeated the "facts" over and over that my application was canceled because I didn't give them time to process it before placing an actual order. Customer service is what wins me or loses me. In this case it was a huge lose.
They show that products cost less than what they actually do. For example, I went to go buy a product that cost $7.99. When I logged in, it was listed for $9.99.
Also, I went to go buy $50 worth of product. At check out, I clicked to authorize the $50 fee plus tax. I checked my credit card statement days later and they have charged me $60 for a yearly fee. Total scam. They did pay me back but it's too much of a pain. Not a credible site.
Don't get any "free" items because they automatically enroll you and charge you an annual fee of $59
To make cancelling a membership in this type of flow is illegal - hence Comcast being sued in the past over hiding their cancellation options deep within their accounts section. I screenshotted this process to share with my coworkers (we're UX/UI designers). First of all, requiring people to Call or Email you to cancel a digital membership is absurd and done as a lame way to force people into an uncomfortable circumstance where some people will just give in and keep their account open (speaks for the lack of respect Thrive Market has for their customers). I finally found within their FAQs section a single link at the end of an article to cancel without having to contact them directly. That process (once I selected to cancel), took 7 additional confirmation steps to actually cancel the membership. This is beyond the line of being desperate. Thrive Market should consider being more transparent and less pathetic with how you treat your customers. To even require a "membership" in order to buy from your online grocery store is ridiculous in itself - you're prices are no different than local stores... there is nothing special about Thrive Market other than you have won the cake for the amount of steps to confirm cancellation of a digital membership.
This business is a scam, and impossible to cancel an account I don't have with them. Their online chat system is trash, they will only try to get as much information from you just to not help you.
DO NOT purchase anything from this company. I am very thorough in any annual membership fees I sign up for. I purchased a $4 tea from Thrive and it was not stated a $60 membership fee would be charged to my card each year. You will not receive an email notification each year for this charge as it hits spam. Two years later, I realized the company has charged me $120 without any notice. You cannot cancel on the website - you must go through the company's 24/7 chat and consistently ask for cancellation. Please avoid this company at all costs. I spent my morning trying to cancel and screenshotted the conversation for evidence in case my membership was not cancelled in their system.
They were ok for convenience when on a special diet, but i never found discounts any better than our specialty and regular stores around as many mainstream stores are starting to carry more organic, gf, keto, etc special diet foods. But saved a trip to store. I like vitacost.com a lot better and no membership fee.
Link to cancel below. I found by Went to my account person icon, left menu- membership, Scroll down FAQs,
Membership + Account how manage membership, Scroll bottom and click
Bolded "here" to cancel and Then tricky - make sure to click continue
Canceling about 10 x or it pops up with an annoying Thanks for Staying in the midst of canceling because I'll stay option is autoselected if you don't repeatedly opt to Continue canceling through a bunch of offers.

That they make you jump through hoops to cancel tells me they care more about short term revenues than a relationship that will keep my business ironically
Never ever use Thrive Market, they will make you miserable and never let you out of your membership. Once they sink their talons in you will have to petition your credit card company for help dealing with their fraud to get them to stop charging you.
My misery all started when Thrive Market refused to reimburse me when my membership auto-renewed after I had tried to cancel it. Instead they said they could shorten my membership to 6 months. I said I would not use the membership but that it at least was not the full cost of 12 months so I accepted a partial refund. I figured I would just let the clock run out out on the membership.
The real kicker was 6 months later when I get an email announcing my renewal and see a charge for another 6 months on my credit card. The huckster I had spoken to had indeed shortened the membership... and then set it to autorenew!
There is no way they could have believed that when I contacted them to say I did not want a membership that I wanted the 6 months to autorenew!
I accepted the 6 months only because they informed me that it would be the only way to give me a partial refund and that I would be done with Thrive Market after that.
When I contacted them to ask about this they sent a reply saying its so great that I am a member and I should take advantage of their great offers and refusing a refund.
Never trust Thrive Market with your credit card information because they will keep charging you no matter what you do.
And I fell for it. Easy to sign up, looked interesting so I decided to check it out. Limited choices and not for me so decided to cancel... only it's FRIGGIN IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL. You can't find a cancel option, phone number, or anything telling you how to cancel. So I start a chat session. Guy eventually says he will cancel the account, but he was taking forever to respond. Felt like he was just trying to wait me out so I'd leave the session. He says it will be a few hours, then I'd get a cancellation confirmation via email. Email never came. Tried again later that night to cancel via chat. I was able to get my first message through saying I wanted to cancel, then the submit message button on the chat screen magically greyed out and I wasn't able to submit any more messages. I am beyond pissed. Any company that makes it this hard to cancel is clearly not getting by on the quality of their products and satisfied repeat business, but rather by scamming people out of their info and making it impossible to cancel.
I purchased one item on site for less than ten dollars in 2016, I didn't know anything about the annual scam membership fee, they've been billing me every year for over fifty dollars, now I'm going to report these scammers to the Feds, local authorities, state attorny and BBB in Culver City.
I took a "trial" membership so I could order and try out their food offerings and service. Then I found other websites that offered cheaper and better selections, so I immediately went on chat and canceled 3 weeks before the end of my trial. They sent an email confirming the cancellation. Then 2 months later, out of the blue, I see a charge for $60 for a "one year membership" on my credit card. The customer service guy on chat says it's all my fault for not "understanding how Thrive membership works." --- I told him I understand all too well. It's called a bait and switch sucker scheme. Don't give them your information or you could be at risk for the same shenanigans.
I made one purchase in 2018. Today on March 29,2019 I received a 59.95 charge that says is recurring. I never authorized this company to steal 60 bucks from me annually. Be careful before purchasing anything from this scam of a company.
Apparently this company trains its representatives to scam customers out of canceling their memberships with the promises of extending their free trial membership without charge. Please beware and do not fall for this. I contacted Thrive's customer service department a day before my 30 day free trial membership was set to expire. I spoke to a representative by the name of Tyrone and told him that I wanted to cancel my trial membership. There wasn't anything wrong with the service. The product was great, and the shipping experience was satisfactory; however, I didn't feel I needed the services enough to pay for an annual membership.
Tyrone advised me that Thrive was offering an extended 30 day trial membership to its customers. He told me I could continue utilizing the services free of charge for another 30 days. I decided to take advantage of this offer since he assured me that I wouldn't be charged, and I felt this would allow me further opportunity to try out the products and become accustomed to the company. About two days later, my checking account incurred a $59.95 charge from Thrive for a yearly membership. Of course I was livid since I was assured I wouldn't be assessed any charges to my account.
I contacted customer service, and spoke with a different representative. She apologized for the mistake and refunded my account. Three days later, I received the full refund for the amount that had been charged to my account. However, within the hour, another fee of $59.95 was charged to my account by Thrive. I contacted customer service a third time and had the entire membership canceled. I am now disputing the charges with my bank.
Any chances Thrive had of keeping me as a paid customer are destroyed.
I thought Thrive was great... But then they tried to kill me. I asked, before ordering, if they could tell me where the vinegar in their ketchup was derived from. I have a fairly serious corn allergy, so I needed to know. I was told it was derived from cane sugar. I was elated because it's difficult to find. I ordered 6 bottles. But I kept reacting to something in my diet and contacted them again for confirmation. I waited 18 days with no response. So I did an elimination and was pretty certain the ketchup was the culprit. After having a bad reaction, requiring the use of my inhaler and corn-free compounded Benadryl, I chatted with them and was told they had researched it and the vinegar is from corn! They refused to refund me because it's been over 7 days since I ordered and then refused to cancel my trial which was set to end in 6 days. Once I mentioned contacting the BBB they cancelled. Do they not realize how serious food allergies are? Thankfully I didn't have to go to the ER or use my EpiPen, but they didn't even seem to care how serious of an offence this was.

Answer: Not well, I am on a med that causes insomnia... actually more than one. And when I do sleep, I wake up feeling unrested.
