Great people, great services. You ask a question you got prompt answer. Great communication. Definitely will come back again for more business with this good company.
Thank you for the good professional work you provide, excellent.
I filed both a provisional application and a non-provisional application with Thoughts to paper. They were very helpful. I am satisfied with the review process. Many times I needed to do changes as a result of me reviewing the specs and claims again, and they were happy to help.
I had a great experience with Thoughts to Paper. Hadison and Kevin were very responsive and went into great detail when explaining questions that I had about their findings. They always delivered their work within the time frame that was discussed and they were very professional. They did what they said they would do, and that is hard to find these days! Thank you!
I had an issue with communication and questions on the process. Tony (manager) called me and made sure I had the information I needed and was satisfied with their product. I do appreciate this type of customer service and will continue with them.

This was our first time working with Thoughts to Paper. Hadison was our contact and we couldn't have been more happy with this work and responsiveness. We had initially tried to submit two different patents but after review they did not recommend we submit one of them. As a result they refunded 100% of the money. We greatly appreciated their integrity. We will be using them again in the future.
The team is there to help and assist in every way I needed to proceed with my patent application. Staff accepts comments and adjustments to the inventors concept and ideas to enhance the inventor's imagination.
Thanks.
Dandy L.
The process was comprehensive and extremely educational; as long has you have a clear idea and can communicate you idea effectively thoughts to paper can make it a patent reality; but you have to do your part. They can't do the work for you
I used Thoughts to Paper to file a design patent. The process was very straightforward and easy. The staff is always there to answer any questions you may have and walk you through the process. I will use Thoughts to Paper for any other patent applications in the future!
I have filed both provisional patent and non-provisional design patent and Thoughts to Paper helped me in all my needs. I gave to them five stars because the whole team was superb in all steps. I strongly recommend their services. My next step will be marketing my invention with them. I would like to thank all Thoughts to Paper Team!
I always have a great experience working with Kevin. He is great and always on top of things. This was the first time i worked with Christian and he was also great. He understood exactly what i wanted and executed it perfectly.
I will be back!
Thoughts to Paper have written many patents for me and all have been approved. An accelerated patent was approved in 3 months and Thought to Paper went on to get it approved in 4 other countries.
Thoughts to Paper has a good technical staff that can understand the patent very quickly and they can turn the patent into excellent text and images very quickly.
They are very professional and very accurate.
They also have the ability to submit the patent electronically using the highest tech ways allowed by the US patent office.
They are also familiar with important aspects of the patent process leaving the patent owner free to concentrate on writing the best possible patent description.
They work to a reliable time schedule, meet due dates and cost estimates.
They are also friendly and very good email and telephone communicators.
Thanks guys,
Don
I used Thoughts to Paper for a non-provisional patent a few years ago and it was a great experience. They prepared the patent and it was approved by the patent office. Everything about the process was professionally executed. I will be hiring them for another patent soon.
Great people to work with.
The patent they produced was a good representation of our patent and what we thought was special.
We needed to file by a deadline and they worked through the weekend to make it happen.
This company has been a cordial partner in the patenting process and in the service they provide to their customers.
To this point I will recommend highly to anyone proceeding towards patenting their invention.
Thoughts to Paper has always been helpful from the first setup to the reminders each year to file. I would not have applied for the patent pending without the guidance and assistance of Thoughts to Paper.
I am always impressed with the service I receive from Thoughts to Paper! They have excellent customer service and professionalism! I have been a customer for a few years and their commitment to excellence and a quick turnaround is terrific!
I have used their service many times... and they have always performed and came through with the greatest of expectations! I would not hesitate to use their services and I will use them again, and again. They are the best I have found, and I do not search anymore... Thoughts to Paper are my team!
They were great. They assisted in reviewing both the text and the figures. Their suggested changes and corrections were very helpful and they moved things along very quickly. Needless to say, I am very pleased.
The company has very professional people and they were very responsive to answer questions in a professional way. They make sure that you are clear and understanding everything that they are working on for you and will take their time to make sure you are satisfied. Great job Thanks

Answer: You should apply for a patent application first. This secures your place in line with the US Patent Office so you can tell the company you pitch to that your product is "patent pending". This way, if that company steals your idea and files a patent of their own, they will be second in line after you, since you applied for the patent application first. A provisional patent application only lasts for 12 months though, and it must be converted to a non-provisional patent app before the 12 month expires, to keep the protection. However, this route of the provisional patent app, at least gives you 12 months to test the waters before you need to decide to commit to a full more expensive non-provisional app. Give us a call during normal business hours and we'll be happy to answer any further questions or get you started.
Answer: Roberto, yes, you could file a provisional application first and get 12 months to figure more details out. However, keep in mind that the provisional application can only protect what you include in the application, the information you have already figured out. For example, if you only have a basic idea and the details are unknown, you could file the provisional application for just the idea without the details yet. However, those details would not be protected in the application because they are not disclosed in the application. Put more simply, you can only protect what you know and put into the provisional application. What this means is, lets say you file the provisional application then 2 months later you figure out some critical details of your invention. You must be careful about disclosing those details you figured out 2 months after filing the provisional application. Because those details were not included in the provisional application, they are not protected yet. We would add those details when you convert the provisional application into a non-provisional application and only then, would those details be protected. We offer a professional level service for the provisional patent application which allows you to chat with one of our engineers. We can help you figure out a bit more detail than you may have so that you file a provisional application with as much detail as we can figure out at this time. This ensures that your provisional application covers as much as we can. Any additional details you figure out later, well put it into the non-provisional patent application when you decide to file that application, prior to the expiration of your provisional application. Hope that helps! Give us a ring during normal business hours and well be happy to help!
Answer: Ken, that's a tough question without looking at your invention and understanding your situation further. Please give us a call during business hours at 240-523-4321 and we'll be happy to chat and see if we can assist.

Answer: Patenting is our specialty, we are a patent firm with patent attorneys and agents. You would look for an invention manufacturer separately, or we can refer some that we know. However, we don't do manufacturing ourselves since we're a law firm.
Answer: Francisco, we don't assist with building a prototype, please seek other resources. We are a patent firm and can assist with filing a patent application to try and obtain a patent for your invention.

Luis, I am looking at your file and we have not yet filed your patent application. If you would like a full refund, simply call us and we'll issue you a refund immediately. It is our job as a patent firm to give you recommendations. The basic provisional patent application is suitable only if you can provide a good technical writing and drawing of your invention. After review, our patent practitioners recommend that you pay us write your patent application, so that your patent application has proper protection for your invention. You do not have to accept our recommendation! However, we are required by the US Patent Office to give you our professional recommendation. At this time, you have 3 easy choices: 1) Accept our practitioners' recommendation and pay us extra for our time to write your patent application, 2) Reject our practitioners' recommendation and use your own written patent application, 3) Request a full refund of all money you paid, we won't keep a single cent.
Remember, it is our job to give you recommendations. Our recommendations sometimes will require additional services that cost more money. But you have no obligation to accept those recommendations! Simply reject them or request a refund and it will be done!
I'll reach out to you and see how to best move forward!
