This company is a total sham. DO NO USE them! They create fake profiles and false leads to make you think people are looking at your site. WRONG! They con you into thinking they are there to help you and they are not. They should be called The NOT because they do NOT say what they are going to do. I was a vendor and they set me up and have been sending me false leads. No one responds back because it's a fake profile. No wonder. And they set me up on auto-pay without my permission. WARNING do not use them!

Abby was super professional and communicative with regard to everything: logistics, a contract, the band (the band is AWESOME) and the experience of being part of a Second Line and walking down the streets of New Orleans.
Lastly - I'm a musician myself and really appreciate Abby's professionalism and ability to coordinate everything and making it so easy for me so that I could simply enjoy things.

The knot was a Kickstart to what would become the best day of my life. My wife was wedding planning on her own and the knot really helped her accomplish most of her dreams in an orderly fashion. If my wife ever gets married again, I bet she will use the knot all over, because her experience was so lovely. But Happy wife happy life, that's what they say, and the Knot definitely made us happy.
WeddingPro, aka The Knot & Wedding Wire, IS ENTIRELY A SCAM. This is a SCAM COMPANY that rips off small businesses, sells their info (to scam call & email lists), and provides NOTHING to the small businesses they call "clients." STAY FAR AWAY. If you have a wedding business & you sign up for a listing on The Knot/Wedding Wire, WeddingPro will sell your information to scam sales lists: your phone will never be silent from scammers calling; your email inbox will never be empty of scam emails; and the only "leads" you will get off the websites will be from criminals trying to run check scams.
My fiancé and I started a new business in the summer of 2022 - a wedding DJ company. IMMEDIATELY after publishing our website, we were contacted over & over again by WeddingPro, aggressively trying to get us to sign up for their marketing & a listing on their family of websites (The Knot & Wedding Wire). Their sales pitch was incredibly aggressive, & the salesperson GUARANTEED 80+ leads per month (!) We were shown screenshots, ostensibly of the "Insights" of other WeddingPro storefronts, showing visitor traffic & response rates that seemed extremely promising. We were also harangued into signing up right away because of "limited time promotions." In hindsight, it's all very clear that this is predatory behavior.
Typically, LEGITIMATE management companies take a very small percentage (~10%) of booked business, because this is enough to sustain them due to the success of their clients. WeddingPro takes HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS EVERY MONTH, because their "business" is RIPPING OFF the small businesses listed on their websites, not actually finding success for those small businesses.
In the time since we have signed up for WeddingPro's "services", our inbox has been full of wedding-related spam we never signed up for, our phone has been ringing off the hook with scam callers, and we have only received leads from criminals running check scams.
DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

My name is Jered Hafitz, my daughter Leah had her wedding at the Seaview in Gallaway township N. J. I can, t say enough great things about the Seaview. They are so professional from the valet to housekeeping to the front desk. Everyone is awesome. Jen was the planner we dealt with. Her, Sally, Sal, everyone involved, the bartenders the servers, I just can't say enough about the entire staff.
I have been an advertiser since 2009. They could not care less about their vendors, or helping them with their business. All they want is MONEY MONEY MONEY. Since 2020, their rates have QUADRUPLED. They claim it's because of the "value added." It's absurd. They call the leads they give you "bookings" which is monumentally absurd, condescending and just straight up FALSE. They send me an email, I BOOK IT and CLOSE THE DEAL. They try to enforce a contract that no one signs. Even though I canceled, they put it off and put it off, and now nearly 2 weeks later they are refusing a refund, even though they have provided no service. I'm told regularly that I am not on autorenewal, but it is always autorenewed with no discussion. They don't even send out their so-called "contracts." No rep calls and chats with you - it could not be worse customer service. I'm letting my bank handle it. They are criminals. They don't care about you AT ALL.

My brother used the KNot for his wedding block, ended up paying more than what the hotel offered if I went to them directly. At the end of the wedding he called the hotel and covered my room on his CC, as a nice surprise :) I reached out to CS to get a refund for the room and they refuse to issue it back to me and cant tell me why. $740 and it's been over 2 weeks. I am unable to speak to a manager everytime I call they're too busy and they ask me to "just wait longer."
Don't use the kNot for any kind of hotel reservations if you don't need to.
Also this review site says to upload a receipt/pictures and it wont let you
EVERY time I have used The Knot for a friend's wedding or baby registry, the gifts get lost, don't ship at all, and /or I end up having to ask the recipient for their address. The website should automatically link the gift selected to the couples' address. It's mortifying to go to a shower and find out that your gift was NEVER sent or to find out weeks later from a bride that they never received a gift from you!
Do not hesitate to check out this venue for weddings, showers or any other special occasion in which you need a beautifully located venue. Oyster Point is picturesque from the outside thru the inside. The food is amazing the staff is incredible. The process of planning our event was effortless with the help of the Hotel Catering Manager Lauren who made it quite easy and very much anticipated, she was always there to answer our questions. Then the day of the event we had the pleasure of having Nicole as our Matre'd and she was the best. She was always there to make sure everything was exactly the way you wanted it. Do it!
Do not use The Knot for wedding guest hotel reservations. They have hotel cancellation policies with penalties that the hotels themselves do not have. Book your hotel reservation directly with the hotel. I am still trying to resolve a penalty for cancelling more than 2 months before the reservation date!

Back in January I booked my hotel stayed for a destination wedding were I was braid's made., the wedding was held in June, when I arrived to the resort there was no reservation under my name, thankfully I brought my credit card with me and I was able to booked and payed for my stay otherwise l would have to stay on the street, off course I ended it paying 1,000 more, I spent the rest of my vacations calling them and always the same thing explaining over and over the situation.
At the end of my stayed they refunded me what I initially payed and said they will cover the difference but this never happened
This company it's no reliable at all don't waste your time and money.

My credit card info was stolen, and the thief used that info to make a $246 purchase on the knot. I had never heard of this company and had to look it up. I notified my credit card company and protested the charge. I also contacted the knot and requested information about to whom the gift was sent, so that I could include that in my police report. They refused, The Knot thought it would be appropriate to protect the identity of the thief so that I could not report them to law enforcement. That should tell you everything you need to know about the ethics of this pathetic company. I recommend you not do business with them.

I wasted a lot of money being on the first page. They do not have a way of verifying if it is a legit lead. 98% of the inquires/leads I received were not legit. I had a lot of scamming leads. Don't waste your money on this site.

UNTRUSTWORTHY…. We had a very poor experience chose a bridal stylist on The Knot called Carissa Blossom Artistry. The vendor did nor complete the work she got paid for and in addition came at our wedding venue and started harassing our family. We wrote a review yes about this vendor's poor conduct along with all the documents. Later and noticed that our review is NOT publicized. Upon follow up with The Knot, we learn that they block negative reviews and vendors can simply dispute any negative reviews on this site. So, you only see positive reviews... I hired Carissa's service for my bridal party. She was not available so she said she is sending her "senior artist", Deleana along with another assistant. The hair and makeup were supposed to be done by the senior artist but on the day she delegated it to Madison, who barely has any experience. They arrived at 8 am and was supposed to finish by 2-2:30 pm. She was struggling to even hold the brush and left all my bridal party makeup incomplete, non of the lips were done, no contouring, no concealer. Because she was so incompetent she could not even start my mother's hair (mother of the bride) and my mother's was rushed to be done in 5 min before they left! When the photography team had already arrived.
My due date for the remaining balance was 8/11 (my wedding day). Then Carissa, who supposedly was not available for that day, showed up at my wedding venue( which was a private house) while my husband and I were in a photo shoot and started HARASSING my family and guests and threatened that she want the remaining balanced paid right away or she will come back to the venue!
You think she stopped there right? NO, then she started bombarding us with email after email DEMANDING US to "TURN OF PURCHASES AND SERVICES" on Venmo and asking for more money. You know why? IF you turn of that option you will be losing your right to pursue your purchased service if you encounter any issues with this vendor and SHE IS AWARE OF IT. Also, by "turning off purchases and services" her earnings will NOT register as INCOME for her.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNETHICAL PERSON.

I have been enrolled in the Knot/Wedding Wire for 9 months. I have yet to receive even one legitimate lead, but many fakes and several scams, one of which successfully deceived me and cost me nearly $3000. Add that to th $250/month fee and the entire experience will have cost me nearly $5000 without so much as a penny in return. The Knot may not be a scam technically but it sure seems like one to me. Clergy beware! We tend to be far too trusting.

Ordered invitations and those came out great! But had to make a reorder and there is no way of doing so. I have done EVERYTHING their customer service personnel has told me and would STILL have to remake my entire design. There should be a reorder button right in the previous orders menu. THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FRUSTRATING and I wish I went another route now bc this has taken days!

The best way to reorder your custom items is to just order through our site like normal, with your correct quantity (the minimum quantity is 15). You will click the Personalize button but won't actually have to make any changes in the editor. Once you are on the editor page, please indicate in the Design Note section that this is a reorder and you want to use the custom proofs we created for you before, referencing your previous order number. Then click Review + Save, and proceed to checkout. This will serve as a placeholder for your custom design.

Do not book here unless you want to cry and stress out before, during and after your wedding. The websites company is very childish and unprofessional. Vendors can write their own positive reviews which can look like as if the vendor is super good meanwhile they don't even show up! Scammers on this site and the company doesn't do anything about it as they simply ignored to answer people their emails regarding how they allow scammers on their websites. They only want your money, and won't give anything in return. Use another website to find your wedding planner!

The Knot if you have issues they hide in their office and or work from home and if they do reply send you short emails without resolving any issues. There is no phone number or anyone in higher position to speak with. They have no skills in going over and troubleshooting issues. The CEO Timothy Chi is another one who hides from the public never replies to any of his emails. This company will fall it's just a matter of time they don't know what customer service is and they are not helping couples get the best vendors and they are not helping vendors book gigs. Brides need to get connected directly with their vendors and the same with vendors and their brides.
Attention business owners avoid subscription lead services they also go under The Knot, Weddingpro, WeddingWire, The Bash, Bodas, Hitched, howtheyasked, the nest thebump and Lasting. They charge between $300.00 to $9,000 a year for a subscription storefront ad which connects you to fake and or with clients looking for the cheapest prices in town. Few years ago WeddingWire posted on their website the average price for Wedding DJ across the United States is $750.00 they did not care if the entertainment market was destroyed. The main concern of the sales department was to book as many vendors as possible. WeddingWire, The Bash and WeddingPro were all sold by their original owners and purchased by The Knot who took control by buying up the others who were their competition. This made other vendors lower their prices even more so they would book the gig at super low price. $400.00 for Wedding DJ with three setups and uplighting was not the way any vendor could make any profit. Be smart create your own website learn to market yourself learn about SEO and how to give yourself more exposure to Brides and other client's events. There is no need for booking agents and lead services anymore they don't work and never did work. This company merged with others and if you did not do well on one site you would go to another of their sites and give them more money not knowing you were with the same company. Don't be fooled be smart put more money in your pocket and get better high paying clients on your own.

Answer: My honest opinion... do not use theknot.com for your wedding. It crashes often and can be extremely frustrating. Believe me... I used it and was locked into using it because it was on all of my invitations. My best advice: use weddingwire.com. But, if you're not going to listen to my advice or are locked in and stuck as I was, go to your wedding website (not in preview mode) and click on guest list from the dashboard... well... After 9 attempts, TK will not load properly so that I can step you through it (everything else on my computer works great). Sorry, that's all I have for you. I hate theknot.com!
