I strongly advise against engaging with this company. Unfortunately, I committed to a year with them and have been struggling to terminate the contract, even involving my bank. They are unresponsive and deceptive. Despite promises of increased business and customer engagement, my experience has been dismal. After four and a half months, I've received only three leads, despite fully optimizing my profile with maximum pictures and syncing links to my website. Despite my efforts on social media, the company failed to reciprocate. Their algorithm seems to prioritize other vendors, regardless of payment or establishment. I've spent nearly $700 by now with zero return, and their refusal to cancel the contract or take responsibility is infuriating. Talking to other vendors confirms widespread dissatisfaction. This company is solely profit-driven, providing no support and shifting blame onto clients. It's a regrettable and costly mistake to engage with them.
In total, I've only received 20 website visits, 43 profile visits and 14 people scrolling through my pictures, which is incredibly low. I get more than that with boosting one reel for few dollars.
Placed an order 30 days in advance. Received partial order in 2 weeks, waited until the last minute for the remaining items. I wrote customer service who sent an email saying it was shipped, with a tracking number, unfortunately no deliver vendor was supplied and it turns out that was incorrect information. When I called 3 days later was told "I am very sorry, we are running a bit behind, it will ship tomorrow." When I asked about overnight shipping the charge would be $30 which was less than the remaining order.
My son was just married in St. Louis and he and his bride used "Kate & Co." to plan and coordinate their wedding events. Kate & Co. Exceeded our expectations and serve as a shinning example of "going above and beyond." The wedding day flowed effortlessly, and Kate & Co. Were a joy to work with - upbeat and helpful in every way. Not only did the food, design, logistics turn out perfectly, Kate & Co. Thought ahead to bring gifts to the reception for the flower girl and her brother. I truly cannot say enough good things. Even the bus driver, to and from the hotel and events, was a Jack of all trades, whenever anything needed to be done. There were all an amazing team.
I just wanted to take a minute to let everyone out there know how incredibly amazing Nicole Mcbride is! She is absolutely amazing, smart and extremely sweet! She's very knowledgeable and honest about everything as well. I absolutely adore her! If anybody out there's wants only the best customer servicing and advise, please go to Nicole! You will never be disappointed! Thank you
My son recently got engaged. His fiance was in town (from Brazil) for an extended stay through the holidays. She is set up on this site. He has so many helpful tidbits. This is so good due to the fact that it's been like forever since I've planned a wedding!
This is a good source for everything wedding related. Lot's of advice forums, cool ideas and planning tips. I've experienced a lot of errors on the site lately which is frustrating. The dress area has a lot of dresses to find inspiration, but it lists only several dresses per designer. You can also have start a free wedding website or get a personal url for $30.
I sogned up for the knot in total ignorance as a small business florist hoping to get clients from the knot. What a huge waste of money! Some florists pay ten times what I pay for top listings yet my minimum priced ad page was often on top! Yet all I got was spam email from online marketers pretending to be brides to get your email. The staff is rude and their social media is a disaster! All of the posts are generic recycled posts from other boring wedding pages or these imbalanced negative home made cartoons from someone that is obviously not well. I have never seen one original or positive post to bring anyone in the own community of subscribed paying vendors together, 3 more months and I can cancel finally! Cannot wait!
I ordered 2 personalized items for an engagement gift, after waiting about 10 days and still not receiving any sort of confirmation email saying my order had shipped or anything, i called in to get some answers. The "supervisor" from California named May was the rudest, most unhelpful and unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. She refused to help me and said they did nothing wrong and basically that I was "$#*! out of luck." I was very excited about my purchase and after this experience I will never order from this site again and tell everyone looking for wedding stuff how terrible this company's customer service is. What a disappointment and still cant get over how disgusting May's behavior was.
I have been in business for 15 years. I have a successful photography business and some of the best imagery in the world. All they did was take my money. Not ONE person I responded to contacted me back or even took a phone call. I believe this is a total scam and the people that I got "leads" from were totally faked. If your thinking about advertising on this don't do it. Do not throw your money away on this. I will be contacting BBB. They gave us a 50% off for two months in the midst of the pandemic on a closed island. But otherwise kept charging my card while we struggled to feed our family. Makes me sick just thinking about it.

I have tried countless times to remove my information from this website. Customer service always promises that it will be gone in 30 days or less, but there it is still - six months later. I created an account after getting engaged last year and they make you create a wedding date from the start, but since the date is not set yet, they have false information posted all over the web now which is confusing to my family members. They will not remove it, even though they say they will! Awful. I also know vendors that have used them and had a horrible experience - overcharged with no leads. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
At one time, this was a good company to advertise on. I'm a photographer, and even though many leads were bogus, some were not (and I used to get 2-3 leads per week). Now, after the changes they made to the site, I've gotten two leads in six months. The customer service, which used to be good, is horrific. The service person/central specialist doesn't return calls and takes days to respond to your e-mail. The e-mail response system doesn't work (your spacing and signature are all blended together... no paragraph spacing either). On a mobile device, it's very difficult to find the vendors (who, of course, are paying the tab). Again, do not advertise on The Knot. It's a complete waste of money.
I signed a contract with the knot beginning of this year. Paid $1500. Denise from Knot promised me that you definitely get at least 10 bookings per year. Gave me 2 months first-page advt. She also told me after two months if no bookings will keep me on the first page for another 3 months. I called her after 3 months. She said. Our policy changed. Very bad service. Most customers come here to get an idea about the price. No bookings. Do not spend money on this site. Totally waste.
I have a free site on The Knot.com which has helped me get found. Despite being one of the best and reasonably priced wedding vendors around, rarely do these contacts result in booked weddings. I just found out one reason why. Any crackpot can give me a bad review and because I don't pay The Knot $100 a month, I cannot dispute or even respond to this injustice. Once again The Knot sucks.
This used to be good years ago! Now they have some sort of machine that follow up with your client's inquiry. Example your client goes to inquiry your work, at the end the computer says here is more 6 other photographers would you like to send the same inquiry to them? And that's where they will go away because they will see other people charging less money than you! Do not pay the knot!
They have now a co tract of 12 months and they don't tell you! When you want to cancel they just don't! And they don't give a shot about you! Horrible do not join! Spend your money in other platforms!
No clients are ever responding me it's being over 6 months! I can prove!

I had my business advertised on The Knot for over 4 years. I was very happy with the response I got until they changed the way brides responded via an app.
I was told "there is something wrong with my email"... long story short.
When they said hey it's time to renew I emailed them back saying I will be looking for other
Avenues to advertise. Now 5 months later they didn't get paid after that and now telling me I owe them for back fees... for WHAT? I lost. I should send them a bill.
So before you advertise with them. Make sure "there is nothing wrong with your email" whatever that means.
Several leads responded to went into spam when I did reply. If you advertise online and get a lead you know how important it is to answer in a timely manner... so does The Knot since they are constantly reminding me of this.
The Knot should be "the not for vendors!" They are in business based on what vendors pay them, however if a vendor files a dispute or dissolution of service they don't allow you to be taken off of their site.
So incredibly disappointed. I used the knot app for wedding planning and it was really helpful! However, this year I ordered Christmas presents on 12/1. I have yet to see them. I emailed on 12/17 and on 1/7. Calling them is nearly impossible, but when I finally spoke to someone on 1/8, they were no help at all. I asked when I should expect to see my order and she told me 'well they haven't shipped yet'. Thanks so much lady. Then she talked over everything I tried to say. I finally got her to tell me I would be receiving my order this week, even if they do arrive, it will have been 6 weeks since I ordered!
I cannot recommend this company for any bride. Their system for working with a rep is unworkable. (I can only respond to a thread that now has more than 20 entries) I have waited days for a return call from the designer. No reply to my emails. No return phone call. Our deadline for mailing invitations is fast approaching but the changes I requested were not included in the draft presented me although I had prepared exactly what we wanted! I have called 3 times over a 6 hour period but no one has returned any call!
Hi Gayle,
We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble connecting with our team! When you have a moment, please direct message us with your email address so we can further assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
For a company the size of The Knot they need to have more customer service help. There was a serious issue with our wedding date showing up wrong in their system despite what was on our profile. Guests were unable to find our website and RSVP by searching for our wedding. When you call customer service you have to leave a message and they'll respond "within 2 days." I sent an email and it took over 24 hours to receive a reply which was "our tech team is working on it."
The actual vendor management/to do checklist was very helpful.
However, when it came time to set up our website:
1. When we first set it up it was easy to do & cute. Once we tried to update to change certain things like page orders, details or EVEN THE DATE it was near impossible & did not update correctly.
2. The registry is so difficult. You can not reorder your gift items; you cannot group them by category or your preference.
3. Their new update apparently allows you to tag your "favorites" that will appear at the top of the list. It does not work. They are tagged, but no re-ordering happens.
Steer clear. My friend set her registry up on Zola & it is so much nicer. I wish I would have done that instead.
Answer: My honest opinion... do not use theknot.com for your wedding. It crashes often and can be extremely frustrating. Believe me... I used it and was locked into using it because it was on all of my invitations. My best advice: use weddingwire.com. But, if you're not going to listen to my advice or are locked in and stuck as I was, go to your wedding website (not in preview mode) and click on guest list from the dashboard... well... After 9 attempts, TK will not load properly so that I can step you through it (everything else on my computer works great). Sorry, that's all I have for you. I hate theknot.com!
Answer: Tell them the same thing they say to you when you contact them for help in any way! "I don't think it is in our best interest! You are on your own... Good luck with that!"
The Knot has a rating of 1.7 stars from 390 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with The Knot most frequently mention customer service, credit card and wedding wire. The Knot ranks 79th among Wedding Planning sites.
