I have never in my life had such a hard time cancelling something. The guy wouldn't listen he kept trying to sell me and all I wanted to do was cancel and that was a HASSLE!
Cancelling this card was the most redundant thing I have ever gone through. They would not listen to my request to cancel and went on and on about "better" offers to keep account open. If they could offer a better deal why do they not do that from get go? What a waste of time.
I have been a member since Oct 2017 And I am satisfied after a customer service/sales exp. They increased my limit to $1,000. Nothing was/is misleading. I will vouch for the credit service my scores have improved. I never have had or want a darn credit card. I will agree The corporation needs to expand its inventory of all items in stock and add alot more NEEDED items. LIKE SMC specialty merchandice corp.
I have to agree with the folks who say its NOT a scam! It clearly states its a line of credit for their outlet store. If you dont read the information they provide explaining all of this, of course youre gonna say scam but its not. They may not have high end goods but I dont remember reading where they say their goods are top shelf.
If youre unable to get a regular credit card & need to rebuild your credit, this isnt a bad alternative. Just make sure you read the information provided.
I ordered a knife throwing board and as soon as the knife hit the board it fell apart. They cancelled my card and told me I was past the 30 days and I wasnt. So they said I will have a negative on my credit report if I didn't pay that monthly fee. So I got a lawyer for a law suit anyone else have problems with them my attorney would like to talk to you. *******@yahoo.com I will contact my attorney.
I too thought my card was a visa and wanted to cancel but after talking with company they explained I could get a credit line to purchase items from their store I disagreed and said I had enough stuff already... They lowered my monthly payment and gave me a 60.00 free voucher and my credit limit to shop with that helped me change my mind and I then started looking on the website. While I understand I will have a monthly bill for items purchased thats ok because after paying my bill on time and such a small monthly amount this improves my credit score eventually.
I made my first order and the clothing and shoes are very quality comfortable items and Im happy to have changed my mind and I made another order and purchased some bamboo sheets that feel so good. The price is fair and I cant stay off them... going to order more.

I was going to sign up for this card but when i seen the quality of the products online it was an instant no!
You cannot charge people high monthly fees for non-name brand junk... period.
Also, they are listing items that normally no one would dare to invest in.
I will say when I went to cancel, they did it fast and it only took a few days for a response and canceling the card.
I thought I was getting a credit card, but the fine print reads it's not. So when I found this out I was upset and I found an actual credit card I can get to rebuild my credit and so I cancelled Horizon and went with the actual credit card by first premier. They have been great!
My other issue about Horizon is there is nothing on there website that's worth buying. It's just stuff you can get at Walmart Target or even the Dollar Store. So they need to work on there merchandise a little more.
I called to cancel the card. After 30 mins of telling them I was very ill and not going to live very long and there card would not do me any good, I finally managed to get the information I needed to cancel and had to hang up on them. These people are ridiculous.
It took me 21 min. To get this store card cancelled. I was upset that it was not a regular credit card but my mistake for not reading the "fine" print. LOL. They say they will refund all my money but kept offering lower intrest rate and increasing my limit amount. Their way of trying to hold on to their customers at all costs. Future reference it be sure to read all the fine print and look it up on the web first before jumping in.
Im seriously disappointed in this card the company is very misleading. If you have this so called credit card you better cancel it asap. The merchandise on the site is very cheap and customer service is trained to keep people from canceling this misleading $#*! card. Don't fall for the customer service sales pitch to keep you as a member. This is a terrible card to have. It's not a Visa or Master Card, no expiration date and it doesn't have the three numbers on the back of the card.So in reality THIS ISN'T A CREDIT CARD AT ALL
I was transferred twice both times I my information had to be verified and they tried to upsell me on the company along with giving more credit with their online store saying that the monthly fee would be reduced. I kept my patience but after being hungup on by a supposed supervisor and having to call back and verify my information yet again then be transferred again I lost it a little. But I was told that I would be cancelled and refunfed. We shall see.
WOULD of given-5* if it was an option! Thought it was too good to be true. I read the terms and agreement*FULLY*before I gave them my debit card! Thank God I did! I seen it was NOT a line of credit but a credit to buy stuff on their "online store" I then went to the thehorizon.com site and made my decision to just block this website from ANY more b. S. ads AND washed my hands of them! ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS READ EVERYTHING ABOUT A COMPANY ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY'RE ASKING FOR ACCESS TO YOUR MONEY(DEBIT, CHECKING ACCTS.) ASSUMING THAT WE ALL NEED EVERY PENNY IN OUR ACCTS AND THEN SOME OR OUR CREDIT WOULDN'T BE SO POOR! THERE ARE PPL THAT PREY ON VULNERABLE PEOPLE! NEVER EVER EVER GIVE YOUR ACCT NUMBER OVER THE INTERNET UNLESS YOU ARE 100% CERTAIN THEY ARE LEGIT!
I knew it was a merchant card only and I was fine with that. I paid the initial fee not realizing there was a monthly fee but thats not why I cancelled it. The products they offer are dime store quality or never have correct size and it was very limited on the merchandise they even had. I should have gotten the picture when I opened the envelope and there was a paper with the card in bold red letters saying CANCELLATION-REFUND INSTRUCTIONS, less than a minute to refund/cancel. I went through 3 people all trying to give me another 500 on top of the 500 I had w/$60 voucher and lower my monthly payment to 6.95 whether I carry a balance or not, grant it they offer 4 different services but if they are like tge products they sell they aren't worth a $#*!. Needless to say after 45 mins which they do purposely, hoping you will hang up and forget to call back before 30 days so they can keep your enrollment fee but I wasn't going no where till I got my cancellation conformation #. I possibly would have kept the card if they had better quality and more to offer. I wonder too, do they really report to credit bureau
Why don't you have anything that people really want or need. You only list junk that nobody can use. You want a fee for a service? You have to provide a service first! This may help with poor credit, but you would have to use it,... a lot, to be of any use
I was approved for horizon they took my 29.95 then nothing. Nothing saying if card was activated that's been a week ago an I still haven't gotten my card r letter nothing.
I got this card and apparently they will report positively even if you don't make any purchases. So basically I pay my set monthly fee, (on time), and I get positive credit report submitted every month on my unsecured line of credit. I believe I will give it 2 months and see how it affects my credit if at all, then at that time I will submit a more informed review.
Not much merchandise and you can't look things you type in the search bar gives you other things
I received this card in the mail after applying for it and thought I'd go check out the website. They didn't have much selection and the little they do have is mostly ugly stuff I wouldn't even spend a penny on. I called to cancel my account and the supervisor I spoke with was an idiotic moron. After I told him I'd like to cancel my account, he kept trying to convince me to keep my account. He offered me another $500 towards my line of credit, a $60 voucher, and telling me how it can improve my credit score. I had to tell him about 10 times that I want to cancel my account and then I had to raise my voice and get irritated for him to finally do it. To sum it all up, they really suck.
I was just looking at this for a friend who made the huge mistake of getting this "credit" with this online store. NEVER should you have to pay any fee to obtain any credit card-- and this is a credit card, but only for use in their overpriced nothing store. NEVER should you have to pay a monthly fee for any credit card. This is bait for people with poor credit at the holiday season, and it's pure garbage
