Incompetent.
Double shipped after canceling one order that was mis-filled out by their sales person. Spent over an HOUR on phone correcting. Had confirmation emails that meant to them on their end and would have been double charged had I not called and demanded to get to higher level supervisor. They messed up an order 6 months ago and said I would be sent a coupon for $60. I was never sent that, but when i asked about it during this latest ordeal, I was told they had a RECORD of the $60. Coupon, but never told me that they could only " see" it from their end, so I then had to instruct the supervisor to apply it to the most recent purchase. They are hiring incompetent people. They are not being run at all. I keep telling myself, well, they apologized for the last mistake, but they have ALL been mistakes for 5 years now! This is it, for me. Do not keep back going to the Company Store you used to order from 10-15 years ago. They do not exist anymore.
The Company Store is stuck in the 20th century. I could not complete the order online with multiple browsers, and had to place my (large) order over the phone in a process that took thirty minutes. Their order confirmation email came plain text with no links. My delivery flagged numerous items as "back ordered", with no estimated arrival date. I had to call to get info. The dates came and went with no communication. Again I had to call. And again. It appears I will receive my items nearly 6 months after ordering, and not one email communication from them in the meantime.
My last experience with them (which actually was in the 20th century) was very positive. They were largely mail-order then. It appears their technology has not advanced in the interim.
OMG, with high prices and sales laughable, worse was yet to come. I bought 2 items on 12/2/21 and 2 weeks later had not received any communication re the order being shipped. Never received a reply to my enquiring email about my order. CEO is not employing enough customer service people to answer emails (!). When I called I was told "your order was delivered." NO IT WASN'T. I have no desire now to even look at the itmes I order, getting a full refund. It's not worth the aggravation, no bargains and only good if you're a card carrying masochist and like to waste your time dealing with them. AVOID!
The down comforter I bought was ~$300, so not their cheapest option, and more expensive than many others I saw, but heard good things from blogs, reviews so thought I'd try it out. The quilt had feathers missing from many of the boxes, and overall the amount of fluff was underwhelming (especially for the price). Even at $100 I would have been disappointed, but then I would say "hey, it's because it's cheap". To return it, I will either be reimbursed $15 if I send them a receipt, or they offer FedEx pickup but I am never home.
I had ordered the wool mattress pad from them also and love that, but the quilt ruined the experience for me. But the wool pad wasn't made by them, so that might explain why the quality was better.
I placed an order that included 3 items. I received my confirmation. My credit card was charged at 36 hours after placing the order. When I had not received any updates or shipping notification, I emailed customer service about my order. I got no response. I emailed 2 more times and received no response. I received the order almost 2 weeks after I placed that order. The customer service department replied to my emails on the day of delivery. Their explanation was that they were very busy and running behind. It was interesting that they were not too busy to charge my credit card quickly in the process.
I received the pillowcases I ordered and they're fine, but the matching duvet cover has been back-ordered multiple times. I ordered on 9/26/21, back-ordered until mid-November, now it's back-ordered again until March 2022. I'm only willing to wait for it because it's the matching color and I won't find the exact right color anywhere else.
Bought my daughter some Christmas pajamas. They were fleece. Smelled weird. Washed them on warm twice to try to get the smell out. They shrunk. Called the company to talk about the bad smell and needing a size up- and they shipped me a size up and let me keep the old ones, free of charge. Now that's great customer service. The pj's are her favorite btw. Super cute and warm. 100% cotton. Wish they did not have flame $#*!ants though, which might be the culprit when it comes to the funny smell.
Backordered items in February, little communication, no follow through, had to email and call several times to check on the orders, rude customer service rep hung up on me, and am still waiting for one item (on June 25th, though the "expected" ship date was June 6th). They make it hard to purchase from them! I only followed through b/c one daughter got the gift and the other one hasn't yet.
"Down alternative" comforters... sounds nice doesnt it... well that's because the advertisers know just how to word things to dupe the public. "Down alternative" comforters are just another way for the makers to lower the quality of their product thus adding mega profits to their pockets while making the public think they're doing them a favor. I'll lay odds that "down" cost the makers way way more money than the cheap-o "down alternative" does.
I bought 2 quits for over $200 not blown away with the quality. After I needed to wash one the color drastically faded. Tried to buy 2 down comforters, both were placed on back order. No email or notification. After 2 months I called, month 3 they canceled it. 2nd try for a new different one, I called 2 months later same story. This time I canceled! How do not let people know why it's not in your home but charge you for it?
Recently I also bought not inexpensive bath sheets for my new bathroom to be used only by infrequent guests. Unfortunately after less than five washings(by machine) their edges have unravelled and are frayed and look pathetic. I am horrified. I bought from you( and not the numerous bargain stores) and paid what you asked because I expected quality. I have not received it. I believe I should be eligible for a refund. But where to go? So I place an order for 4 products 4/12.2 products ship and my card is charged.
2 months later, the other 2 items ship. They charge my card for those items and put through an authorization for the total order. Basically have charged/authorized my card twice for everything.
Run, don't walk away from The Company Store!
This company is unreal. The web site is in the stone ages, and they shipped to the wrong address. Told them about it and they did nothing, told me it already shipped so too bad. I will never see the order, it was shipped to a street address that has to office towers, they lost the description that told which tower and the floor to which it should be delivered. No one knows who I am without that information in two, 30 floor buildings with 1,000s of people. How can any company have such bad ecommerce in 2018 is beyond me. I guess they don't need the business.
Ordered and paid for express shipping to receive purchases by Xmas. Half received and that same day half was cancelled. So I now have ½ a sheet set. Extremely poor customer service. Didn't let me know ½ was cancelled until after the other half was shipped so couldn't cancel the entire order and reorder from someone else. Will never order from Company Store again.
For Valentine's Day, I ordered and confirmed by phone a full set of pajamas for my kids (son, daughter in law and baby)By phone, I was as told all items are available and ready to ship. A few days later 2 items are received. A few days after that I receive an email saying the 3rd item is out of stock and unable to be delivered. So now, my daughter in law has no idea a present was bought for her and not deliverable. Very sad! I called the company and they told me they were sorry but they could not help me in any way. And my son can return the items shipped. So basically, they are making their problem mine to deal with. I will never buy from them again. There are so many ways they could have handled this issue better but they did nothing and continue to do nothing to help. Beware of any purchases made by this store... and this is coming from a loyal past customer.

Jan 7th I order an item. Crickets. I follow up with two more emails and nothing. Then, I call and the person says that they have to see if the warehouse can cancel it. Pathetic process. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
I haven't actually received my order yet, so I am not able to review the quality of the products. I am concerned that immediately after I was billed for my order, three fraudulent charges were billed to my account. I have a hard time believing that was just a coincidence. I also had the same problem where my order was confirmed, but the day the order was actually processed (a week later) I received an email stating one of the items was not available. If I would have known that at the time of purchase, I would not have ordered from The Company Store.
I bought a pair of slippers from the company store and was greatly disappointed in the quality of the item. They were of cheap material and the fit was all off. The one on my right foot was way too big and the left was snug which is quite strange because my right foot is larger than my left. Don't waste your money.
Terrible customer service, this company used to be great, now they sell you things that are not in stock, and they do not tell you, they ship half the items and then you call them and they say the other items will not be in until end of March. This is for items used in winter! I would never have ordered this sheet set if I could only get them in March, now I have half of the set! They have no definitive date! Vague and unrepentant!
Answer: It has been easy to get hold of customer service and eventually worked out multiple problems. Let me add, their were too many problems to continue doing business with the company.
Answer: Legitimate Business selling stylish bedding and home products. As a satisfied customer for over 25 years, I will shop elsewhere as the quality is now poor and cheaply made.
Answer: Not only that, but return labels are much cheaper than paying retail USPS charges. Never shopping there again.
