The College Wizard

We came to Harvey after having had a disappointing experience with another testing service. Our son Josh had spent nearly eight months being tutored and practicing without any real score improvement. We were immediately impressed by how simple Harveys strategies were in comparison, and Josh became excited and greatly encouraged right after his initial free lesson with Harvey. My parents contacted Harvey because we all knew how impossible getting into Stanford is, especially for certain ethnic groups. He definitely is a wizard. First he tutored me on SAT and ACT until I got 2380 SAT and 36 ACT. But he also gave me the idea to start my own company and guided me step by step to make sure everything caught the attention of the admissions department. He went over my application and edited all of my essays. I can't believe I'll be going to Stanford in September!

In a world when services too often underwhelm, Harvey the College Wizard absolutely overwhelmed us with the quality of his work. Let's start with the results he helped our daughter Katy achieve: 1550 SAT (up from 1290 when we started working with Harvey) and, more important, admission to Duke, her first choice school. We found Harvey during an internet search for an SAT tutor, but what we got was not only IMHO probably the best SAT tutor in the country, but also a genius marketer with a keen and precise understanding of what college admissions officers are looking for, all at a fraction of the price we would have paid for an SAT tutor plus a college admissions counselor of Harvey's caliber. Any parent who really wants the best for his or her child would be a fool not to sign up with Harvey (assuming he has space available for you). Bravo!

From our first conversation, I was amazed at how much time Harvey spent on the phone with me, explaining how the ACT works and helping me understand why my daughter Daphne who is an A student had been failing to do well on it. His free mini-lesson made Daphne excited about really "beating" the test. Daphne has a jam-packed schedule and having tutoring sessions with Skype let her be really loose with scheduling but it was always easy to find a convenient time. In about 6 months of working with Harvey, her ACT score went up 6 points and we are very happy.

Thanks to Harvey, my daughter was accepted early decision to Yale. It's hard to express my profound gratitude for all he did to help make this possible for Sarah. First, he guided her from a 1950 to a 2320 on her SAT and a 35 on her ACT. He laid out projects for her to complete and guided her every step of the way. He held our hand through whole college admissions process, answering all of our questions with promptness and cheerfulness. He helped Sarah write all of her application essays. He has truly been a godsend.

I cant imagine a tutor more committed and professional than Harvey. He is very intuitive and quickly understood what was stopping Bryce from achieving on SAT as well as he is doing in school. We had a feeling Bryce was overthinking the test, but we didnt have a clue how to help him. In a matter of weeks, we saw huge improvement on practice tests. After two attempts, Bryce locked in a 2280 SAT which we expect to translate into a sizable merit scholarship award.

With a score increase from 1130 to 1380, we definitely got our moneys worth working with Harvey. But I really feel that more important than the score increase is the boost to my daughters confidence. I was really impressed with how compassionate and careful Harvey was with my daughter, who is a bit shy, and how much he patiently worked with her. I have to credit Harvey with a marvelous increase in her confidence, not just related to SAT, but overall.

For those parents who are as skeptical as I was, I think its a no-brainer to at least take Harvey up on his offer of a free lesson. My daughter is very opinionated and when I first mentioned the idea of a Skype tutor she dismissed it out of hand. But after a 20 minute meeting with Harvey, she was both intrigued and excited to see what she could do to increase her ACT score (which was something she really wanted very badly). I am so thankful that we were able to get on Harveys schedule and that everything worked out so well. Ashleys ACT score went up from 28 to 35 and she was accepted early decision at Columbia.

Getting a lower SAT score than any of her friends really devastated my daughter Morgan. Sapped her confidence. We found Harvey on an internet search and I had the feeling right away he and Morgan would hit it off, which they did. It was very satisfying to see her start to gain confidence about the SAT and motivated to study. Her first SAT after working with Harvey still was low, but Harvey was able to reassure her that she just needed more practice. Harvey was able to motivate Morgan to keep going, and she ended with a respectable 2010, compared with the 1430 she started with.

I was feeling really depressed about my SAT scores before my dad found Harvey on the internet. I just couldn't understand why my scores were so low when I am an A student in the IB program at school. Harvey explained that the test is made to fool students, and it wasn't my fault. And then when he showed me his tricks, it made me a lot more confident. It took a lot of practice, but Harvey always told me I could do it if I just didn't give up. Thanks so Harvey's help, my SAT score went up from 1500 to 2050.

I just got accepted early decision to Brown and I don't think I could say that if I had not had Harvey to help me. The strategies he taught me for beating the SAT were really simple to remember and I have to admit that every time I used them I chose the correct answer. If I got an answer wrong, it was my own fault. It took me a while to change my approach from what I learned at Princeton Review to Harvey's method, but when I did my SAT score rose pretty quickly from 1970 to 2320. Harvey's tips for creating my own unique project and branding made it easy to stand out from other students, and I sometimes felt a little guilty because my resume looked better than most of my friends even though I probably worked not quite as hard as they did. If you have dreams of attending an Ivy League school, you really should contact Harvey.

My son Robert took the SAT for the first time in March of 2018 and he scored a 1520. Yes Robert scored a 1520 on his first SAT exam. Without a doubt Harvey's system works. Harvey work's endless hours, responsive, supportive, and he truly wants the best for his students, preparing them to master the SAT. If your child follow's his insightful rules and studies hard, he or she will do amazing. My son is a Junior and we saved a lot of money working with Harvey and Robert will now be able to enjoy his summer.
