I would not even give them one star. I agree with the other reviews about poor customer service, fake products, etc. Would strongly recommend against using this website.
They have horrible customer service. The "manager" was literally yelling at me in the phone and called me a liar when I called them out on there's obagi products. I have definitely learned my lesson and now I'm out of $220 on FAKE OBAGI! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS WEBSITE they are scam artists just trying to get your money.
I ordered AveneAVENE HIGH PROTECTION TINTED COMPACT SPF 50 in beige.
The packaging was perfect and looked just like the product I purchased at my doctor's office. The product was not te same... it was very disappointing. When I contacted them, it took months to get anyone. Today I called and they had no record of my order. When I told them it was fake, they put me on hold and never came back. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
Buyer BEWARE!
The Beauty Place sells BOGUS products.
The Jan Marini products that I paid close to $100 dollars are BOGUS.
The "supervisor" Danielle did nothing to rectify the situation.
THIS COMPANY IS A SHAM.
Let's take em down!
THE BEAUTY PLACE IS A FRAUD AND A SHAM.
STAY AWAY
Dear Sheila,
We apologize for the poor experience with your purchase. TheBeautyPlace.com does not sell fake product and we stand by that statement.
According to the order notes, Danielle did approve a return on your order and you received a full refund on November 13,2014.
The customer service representative and supervisor assisted you fully with your order.
In your conversation with the customer service representative, it was said that it would be escalated to resolve the matter as a courtesy. You received a phone call and an email stating that the return was approved, the instructions for the return and that a refund would be issue which was the resolution requested by yourself and was to your satisfaction.
This review does not accurately the entire customer service experience or returns policy process.
We wish you the best.
Thank you,
TheBeautyPlace.com
I purchased a $80 CHI Turbo Auto Digital Ceramic Spring Curl Iron in March and by October the spring on the top lever under the handle slipped out of place and isn't holding my hair tight between the lever and the barrel. I contacted thebeautyplace.com and at first they said they would replace the curling iron. The next day they said they would not, that I had to deal directly with the manufacture of the curling iron (Farouk). When I called Farouk to ask for a replacement they said they could not give me a replacement. They said there are counterfeit products out there so they can't guarantee the iron if it's not sold through an authorized online retailer. The beautyplace.com IS NOT an authorized online retailer for Chi. I've never spent $80 on a curling iron in my life, but thought all the good things I'd heard about the Chi brand and the ceramic barrel would be worth it. I've bought $20 curling irons that have lasted several years and this one only lasted six months. SO mad! I hold thebeautyplace.com responsible!
I ordered their "Skinceuticals Phloretin CF" serum and the product is completely fake. I emailed them to ask for my money back, and they haven't responded! They will not return any communication and I cannot get my $100 back. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! DO NOT EVER PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.
I called in to make sure of the ingredients in the product I was buying. Customer service rep was helpful plus the product price was great and I even got free samples of other products with my order.
I ordered the DermaBlend Concealer in the shade Buscuit and they sent me Fair instead. Then I couldn't return it because they told me that somehow my password was wrong and then when I tried to get it through email - None was sent. Terrible service, never buy from here EVER!
I always look when I receive an email as this site offers best selection at best prices. Have placed several orders and always a good experience.
Placed my first order on this site and it arrived sooner than anticipated. Will shop this site again in the future.
I ordered a bottle of LA ROCHE POSAY ANTHELIOS 60. First, it was delivered via FedEx in a brown box but the product was wrapped in a UPS bubble envelope. Second, the label was placed on the wrong side of the bottle. Third, the QR codes were sliced off of the front and back labels. I sent an email with photographs to The Beauty Place to request that they send me a prepaid return label and with specific instructions to keep all communications written. They left me a voicemail a few days later to state that all of their products are genuine (even though subsequent email communications I had with La Roche Posay confirmed that they are not an authorized dealer) and that the manufacturers occasionally change product packaging so my order does not qualify for a prepaid return envelope. Their voicemail, however, did not address the fact that the QR codes were removed from the package. I have disputed the charge with American Express.
The below is being posted as a response to the comment left by Jennifer R of The Beauty Place:
1) The Beauty Place never addressed why the QR codes were removed from the labels.
2) My request was for a refund and a pre-paid label return shipping. While they did send me a return authorization (immediately after I emailed them to say I was going to dispute the charge with American Express), they never sent me a pre-paid label to return the product.
- Not sure how ignoring to address the two issues above is "... attempting to assist you"
- Why isn't information available on their Bizrate page on the 'return process"?
Hi Alvin,
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Our products are authentic and genuine - we firmly stand by that statement and have a loyal consumer base that are satisfied with their products and orders. According to the order details, customer service approved for a return to be processed for a refund. We are sorry to hear that you opted to already submit a dispute via your credit card company as we were attempting to assist you. The reviews placed on SiteJabber do not reflect the experience our customers accurately and encourage customers to research our company fully: http://www.bizrate.com/ratings_guide/merchant_detail__mid--198339.html?rf=sur OR

Thank you,

Bought a skinmedica product for a low price and got the order in 3 days. Happy with the product and the service. Will shop here again.
Slow shipping and NO RETURNS of products that are not brand new. However, I give them one point for their cordial customer service rep.
Never received the product. Customer Service doesn't respond to emails or voice mails. I would consider this theft.
Never received product, no customer service. Tracking order was not valid.
Answer: Nope - they sell fake products. Do not spend a single dime. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Answer: Hi Barbara, Yes, TheBeautyPlace.com is up and running. We are not sure why the website is not responding for you. If you have any questions please feel free to contact our customer service department at 877-990-1112 M-F 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST.
Answer: Hi, Trina all of the products that are sold on TheBeautyplace.com are authentic, new and unused. Since we sell Skinceuticals well below their retail price we are not licensed or authorized by Skinceuticals. A lot of skinceutical products do not come with a expiration date, instead they have a shelf life. Some products like the SPF's do come with expiration dates. If you do need a date you could always call our customer service department and they could help you further with that information.
Answer: Hi, Jacqueline Thank you for your question and we understand your skepticism. All of our products are genuine and authentic product. Also we do not sell products that have been tampered with or are expired. Below we have provided you with our return policy. https://www.thebeautyplace.com/return-policy Thank you, Jennifer

As stated in our Return Policy, we do not accept returns on any used or opened items. All returns require that items be in their original packaging. We do encourage customers to read the policy prior to making a purchase and encourage them to contact us if they have questions concerning this policy.
If the items are damaged or didn't arrive in your package, refunds/replacements are gladly done but TheBeautyPlace.com strictly abides to their policy to be fair with all customers.
