The overall reputation of Texas Roadhouse is mixed, with customers frequently praising the taste of certain menu items and the attentiveness of some staff members. However, a significant number of reviews highlight persistent issues with food preparation, such as incorrect cooking levels and poor quality cuts, alongside service delays and inadequate management response to complaints. Problems with order accuracy and communication further contribute to customer dissatisfaction. While some locations demonstrate high-quality service, the inconsistency across various branches suggests a need for improved training and oversight to enhance the overall dining experience.

We've been to multiple Texas Roadhouse locations in several states the Roanoke VA location is by far the worst for wait times even on the wait list showed up at the time requested and still told it would be " at least an hour this is not the first time this has happened at this location but it will be the last we've been to many locations in various states and with a packed house we still only waited 15-20 minutes as a walk in. The two times we we're able to be seated the staff was excellent I think it's more of a management issue if you want a steak just as good if not better and little to no wait go across the rod to the 611 steakhouse
We are locals and had gone to roadhouse dozens of times thru the year.
On my birthday, we called ahead to request a booth. Got a booth in the runway, and the back door where cold draft was coming in, all the staff was running back and forth from kitchen. We asked to move, so they stuck us in hard seats, at a four top table, terrible, no salt and pepper on table, then we got our steaks, they were RAW, FILET mignon was to be med, prime rib was to be med rare. Everything was way under cooked. The rolls were not even baked, they were in a basket, they were not cooked. So sad, I used to love road house, after spending over 125.00, I cried on my birthday, we should not have been charged!
I won't go back to Texas Roadhouse again. The food is edible but that is it. There are far better restaurants to go to in Omaha, than to waist money on them. The salad is ok, lousy italian salad dressing (the flavor is lousy) but salt grass has far better since salt grass has homemade vinaigrette salad dressing. Their rolls are greasy. Bake potatoes are better at salt grass also. Their steak fries aren't cooked enough but are soggy. Asked for extra sour cream. Didn't get it with dinner. Had to ask for it again. The catfish was fine but I like tartar sauce with my fish and their tartar sauce is aweful. They'd be better using mayo and pickle relish than whatever they use. Longhorn steakhouse is better.
I ordered salmon and it came rawl, then I told the waiter, he said, "you want that more done." What, it's fish that is not cooked, of course I want my food cooked.
They did not bring a fresh one, brought the same salmon back. If I get sick, I will definitely be talking to someone. What are they doing to us. It's better to stay at home and cook my own food. Never Again...
The last coulple time I've been here not great. I decided to give this place another shot my store had a get-together at Roadhouse in Temple it was so busy, but the service was good but the food was a disappointment I had 14oz ribeye it was pink like I asked but no taste at all very chewy my friend sent her steak back and they brought it back and it look like something sucked the life out of it she just left at least we had plenty of fresh rolls to get full on
Excellent! Great food, great service. I have nothing negative to say. Maybe fries salted a bit too much?
Yes it was a call in order for karen 730 ish we work as nurses down the street no more look at the lettuce for chicken mushroom sandwich and we had an order critters i can find receipt! But who cares! I won't be back and tell all others nurses this is just laziness
We were seated at a booth when we waited for a table to become available. Then a server (simon) brought us water we ordered 2 sodas forgot our bread when we FINALLY order I want the Sautee filets over rice my only thing was I can't eat onions. The menu says nothing about this meal having onions, however I 100% of the time make sure, well needless to say after waiting forever our food came to the table cold not Luke warm cold! So they took it I said we don't have time to wait for it to be recooked just warm it up, we'll you guessed it the manager comes over and let's me know they are remaking it errrr then when it finally does come out it full of onions. Now I'm done and ask to speak to the manager. He cones to the table and says I know your upset it will pass. As crazy as that was it gets better I pay for the bill which was $50.04 with 100 bill my change never comes back now we are late picking up our grandson I again ask for the manager tell him I need my change I already left a very undeserving tip and he brings me a $30 dollar gift certificate so now I have not eaten I just got robbefor my $50 in change.
Do not waste your time because they sure did mine. Waited for a little over an hour on our food. Was a Wednesday night and wasn't busy. When I wanted to pay for the drinks and leave the food was magically ready. It was not fresh! The plates weren't even warm. The waitress got rude and didn't want to let us speak with a manager. When I left I called and ask to speak with a manager and the manager asked me what happened I told her and waited on the line for six minutes then they hung up. Thanks for ruining my night. Don't go to this location. They are absolutely no good
I loved the hours yours restaurants have, your special entrees, your special deal for a family, I love your barbecue grill chicken, chicken Caesar salads, your restaurant is a A+ for customer care. Love that you have also a carry out if you don' want to dine in. We can also order off the internet and get coupons code. I especially like that you list the calories on your menu. Texas Road House food is always fresh, and you can upgrade combo meals.
Me and my Lady went to the Texas Roadhouse in Arnold, Mo. My Lady made a reservation for 2 and we weren't seated for an hour and a half. Then once that we got seated it was in a corner way in the back of the restaurant. We was like ok fine. Then the waitress that we had was rude and obnoxious. We are African Americans. When I started to order for me and my Lady. I said to her that the Lady would like and she called her Sir. We looked at her like what? Then she had us waiting so long that we had three baskets of rolls with the wrong kind of butter. She continued with attitude the whole time we was there. After our orders have came we both decided to leave. The attitude and racially profiling that we experienced we couldn't sit there no more. We will not be back.
When you have to send your stuff back 4 times and manager brings it out being rude like cut into it when you ask for med and you get well done all times like I don't need to cut into it learn how to make it med not well dumb $#*!
My first time at Texas Roadhouse - Lancaster PA and we had the best server. His name was Hunter. He was fantastic. When I go back again, I will definitely ask for him. Between him and the food, I don't know which was better. I would recommend to anyone going there to ask for him, you won't be disappointed.
I am writing this review as a Marine Corps veteran, and, above all, an American PATRIOT! Texas Roadhouse is the CLASSIC example of American PATRIOTISM!
A lot of places offer free meals, or discounts to veterans on veterans day, but, few, if any, do it like Texas Roadhouse!
Texas Roadhouse not only gives FREE meals to veterans on Veterans Day, but, here is what sets them apart from EVERYONE ELSE!
Texas Roadhouse not only offers a free meal to veterans, but, to REALLY show their appreciation for the sacrifices that the veterans have made, if you can't have the meal on Veterans Day, for whatever reason, they give you a voucher to enjoy a delicious meal, on them, until May!
Folks, this is a REAL AMERICAN company, and I urge you to support them like they support those who have fought and died to keep America Free!
I will FOREVER continue to frequent Texas Roadhouse!
Thank you Texas Roadhouse!
We ate a meal there we gave the paper that my granddaughter was supposed to color for the veterans and she thanked them for their service. Her an uncle serves in the Army. They were supposed to come back and give a token they never did. We left and when I called him I was told I needed to come back to get the token-totally unacceptable that they can't do their job. Broken promises to children are not acceptable and are deplorable esp when
Doing something To honor the ones that protect our country. Nasty front end staff. Will NOT return and use to be one of my favorite go to.
Don't have a kids night if you're going to do this to our children.
Also wanted a printed receipt pt but they wouldn't give to me because I paid at table.
We were called inside and stood next to the steak case for ease of hearing who was being called. We were a party of four and after approximately 15 minutes one of the party asked if it would be much longer and was told a few minutes. After another 15 minutes the same individual asked how much longer, and was told "we called your name and number in the party and you didn't respond.
That was an out right lie. All four of us were listening for his name and it was not called. The person whom lieds name is Moraa. It's bad enough she lied instead of admitting. Everyone makes errors, but to lie about it is unacceptable. We were there last evening by 5 pm on November 4th 2023
This is the second time in four months we have had a birthday dinner at Texas Roadhouse in Dartmouth forgotten. The first was April 2nd the waitress was told of my birthday and forgot. Today it was my boyfriend's birthday and I told the girl that seated us whom said she would tell the waitress. No birthday today either. And we didn't get our drinks until the meal was served which I had to remind the waitress. 3 stars is generous.
Ordered from gluten free menu, asked lots of questions and got extremely sick by the time I got home. Lasted for a week. I was on vacation and it was miserable. Never trust them again.
My waitress was great, but My food was not hot ( steak and shrimp) so I sent it back.
The manager Michelle said they would heat it on the cheese melter, She said it wasn't her job to make sure food was hot! I said Yes it is.
My bill was $55.00 plus tip.
Last time I will go there
