Texas Roadhouse Reviews Summary

The overall reputation of Texas Roadhouse is mixed, with customers frequently praising the taste of certain menu items and the attentiveness of some staff members. However, a significant number of reviews highlight persistent issues with food preparation, such as incorrect cooking levels and poor quality cuts, alongside service delays and inadequate management response to complaints. Problems with order accuracy and communication further contribute to customer dissatisfaction. While some locations demonstrate high-quality service, the inconsistency across various branches suggests a need for improved training and oversight to enhance the overall dining experience.

Cold food served,
February 26, 2024

This review is Texas Roadhouse McKinney location. This is my fourth time at I went to this location with a couple friends,we called but we still had to wait at least 20min. My steak and potato were ice cold when the person serving brought them. It took 5 to 10 minutes to find the waitress, she took them back. Thirty(30) min later a manager brought another plate and the only question she asked, is the temperature of the food to my satisfaction! I touched the steak and potato with my finger and I answered "yes", that is it,
she left.
I have been to the Texas Roadhouse in the Colony Tx, and the food and service has been excellent.

Visiting in California Texas Roadhouse on Mariposa. And they don't allow high chairs in the aisles and they don't allow a veteran discount because they give free Meals on Veterans Day unbelievable, they still do in New Mexico. So very disappointed,

Pathetic
February 17, 2024

2024 Valentine's Day, Texas roadhouse in Falkenburg Tampa attended Texas roadhouse for the last 30 years. This particular place and time with the manager female was the worst experience me and my wife had ever seen at a Texas roadhouse. Don't know exactly how and why this would take place
But I would seriously think That the shareholders over the franchise of Texas would seriously look into this.

I had purchased several hundred dollars of gift cards during a "promotional" where I received a $20 promotional credit for every $100 gift card I bought. I used some of these to pay for our meal. When the server came back and gave me my receipt, it showed an overpayment. I asked the manager how I could prove I still had money left over, and she told me that they couldn't do that, and that it was just "lost". She recommended that I call the corporate customer line, which I did, and the woman I talked to, told me that there was nothing they could do and that it was my responsibility to read the fine print on the back of the card for the rules. I told her I am in my 70's and would have to get a magnifying glass to read it, and besides, just how many people read that? After spending several hundreds of dollars on gift cards, she was not open to even providing me with at least a $10 card to use to keep a faithful customer satisfied! She was very "matter of fact" about the situation and NOT friendly at all! Told me again that it was my responsibility to read everything before using them.
If this is any reflection of the company (which she is representing) it certainly doesn't bode well with me!
We also like LONGHORN STEAKHOUSE, and will start patronizing them more after my experience with her!

Low Quality Meat
February 4, 2024

I took my daughter & her friend on a Saturday night. They got their food 15 minutes before me. Then a different waitress comes out & brings my Prime Rib. It was nothing but grizzle and fat. Probably about 4oz of edibles meat unless you like grizzle & fat. I declined it & went hungry bc my daughter & her friend were done eating & we had already waited over an hour to get our food from the Initial wait
My daughter found hair in her silver ware & food Her friend found hair in her Mac & Cheese. Both said the steak tasted like Barbecue sauce. Pretty frustrating when you work a 70 hour week & just want to have a nice meal with your daughter.

Firstly, as humans we need more compassion. It's my husband's first birthday without his best friend, his mom. We were given a gift card for Texas Roadhouse. We don't usually eat a ton of red meat but this was a special occasion. Service was fine. Our server was attentive as she could be with a needy table across from us. As a former server, I look at what's going on around me. I should mention that I informed the host that it was my husband's birthday. We ate and asked for boxes and a bag. This is where things went sideways. The gift card that we had was cardboard and had been washed by mistake. I had already spoke with customer service and was informed it's a valid card and that all I had to do was give it to the manager and they'll take care of it. Mind you, I used to serve for almost 3 decades. I have had to do this countless times. A manager came to me and repeatedly said that he couldn't scan the barcode. I figured as much BUT the number was still readable. The problem is that the pin number was gone; it got washed away. This manager just stood looking at me and I said, " you could do better. " I don't think that was so aggressive that he would inform the owner. The owner, Jay Burman, came to the table as I was on the phone with customer service and I let him know that. I don't believe that he liked that. It was one of those situations that you only remember moments but when this person decided to make a spectacle of the situation, I lost it. To be a guest, you don't expect a owner to get in your face and berate you and say "that you don't talk to my employees like that!" People were staring and it got to the point that he was insinuating that we were trying to " pull a fast one". I didn't do my worst in the situation, but I think that my comment about doing better didn't give this Jay guy the right to embarrass me. My husband jumped into the conversation and we got it handled in the end. What is the worst part is, they knew it was his birthday and didn't take that into consideration when they reacted the way they did! They ruined our experience. Made a bad memory. They should do better!

Every steak my friends and I have ever ordered at TRH comes out rare to medium rare. TRH does not know how to cook a steak any other way. It is gross to be served a practically raw steak when a well done steak was ordered. I am done with this chain
I have ordered steaks in 3 different states and they all were cooked wrong. How hard is it for a steak house to cook a steak as ordered. Sucks. I am so done with TRH. Also if you order online they automatically add a tip to your bill. Wow. Sucks big time!

My family made reservations to have a family celebration dinner of 9 and we called to confirm the reservation had been made correctly. When the hostess guided us to our table, that is when they tried to seat our family at two different tables separately. The waitress was rude and basically told us we had no other option. I asked to speak with a manager, she refused to call the manager. So I had to go the hostess station to ask someone else for the manager. Amber at the Marana Az Location was of no help and made excuses of why we were being seated that way. Our family have come to eat at this restaurant for many years in the past and never have been treated with such disrespect. After waiting over an hour to be seated in the first place they said it would take another hour to be seated if we wanted to wait. The manager was rude unapologetic of the inconvenience and basically said we could wait or leave. My family chose to leave and will not be returning. Thank you Texas Roadhouse for ruing what was supposed to be a special celebration for my family.

Allergies
January 12, 2024

I ate at Texas Roadhouse in Burleson, Texas. They don't take into consideration that some of the customers have food allergies. I ate a steak, and about 3 a.m., I was sicker than a dog. I am allergic to shrimp. So I took the steak back to let them know what happened. I spoke to one of the managers named Anthony. Which did absolutely no good. They would not refund my money for the steak. I only took about 5 small bites from a 20 oz steak. So I asked him if they grilled their steaks and shrimp on the same grill. He hesitated for a while and then said no. Then a friend of mine went to go eat there and asked their waitress if they used the same grill for the steak and shrimp and her answer was yes. The manager didn't have to lie about it. I knew that he was lying because he hesitated to answer me when I asked him. I called the corporate office and explained my situation. She also said that they don't grill steak and shrimp on the same grill. She offered me a $15.00 gift card. When the steak cost $30.00. Which I will never use because even if I stated to the waitress that I'm extremely allergic to shrimp. I don't feel they would take precaution.

Cleanliness
January 7, 2024

Very frustrating I was sat at a table with food all under my table silverware was very dirty rolls were hard and cold. This is a new location off of highway 35 in Crowley, burleson, Fort Worth. I spoke with manager and asked why this facility does not compare to any other I have been in? New building why is it not clean while employees standing at the door talking? I ordered a Long Island with a shot and bartender sent a message through my server on the Texas liquor laws. The drink was watered down this whole facility needs some help with cleanliness and proper customer service.

Our Experience
January 6, 2024

Tonight there was 5 people in our party to eat at Texas Road House in Conway Arkansas. We put in a booth which made it uncomfortable for the 3 people who were sitting on one side of the booth. My Mom (who was 90 yrs old) ordered a glass of wine. The female worker asked for her ID. She never explained why she needed it and became very rude when asking it the second time.

The food was good but our server never checked on us. In fact, a manager never came to our table, we were never explained how to pay the check (or operate the machine on our table), one member was having a birthday and our server never asked if we wanted dessert.

I give our experience a fair rating and may never return back there again.
