Extremely poor service.
Bought two sets of strings. They sent the wrong ones.
I called them twice and no response. I emailed them and finally a response. They claimed I ordered the wrong strings and that I am stuck with them.
I stated I would dispute the charges. They then stated that would replace the strings with the correct ones and I would not have to pay for shipping. They emailed a shipping label. I packed the strings, went to a FedEx drop off site and the strings were mailed to them.
They received the strings and I wanted 5 days with no response.
I emailed them again and they stated I could ask for a refund. I asked for a refund. They then charged me 50 % of my order. When I asked why they they stated shipping costs.
I ended up disputing the charges with my credit card company.
Tennis Express should be avoid at all costs.
Order from Tennis Warehouse or Amazon as you will receive
Much better service, honesty, and customer service!
These people don't answer customer service phone number within the first 15 minutes based on my experience. I just call the credit card company and cancel the order since they won't answer customer service calls within a reasonable time. I wouldn't recommend buying anything from Tennis Express to any friend of mine.
I'm a huge fan of the new Adidas Barricades. Most comfortable tennis shoe I've worn in years. Tennis Express had a good selection of styles in my (somewhat) unusual size 13.5). Ordering on the site was really easy, and delivery was fast (shoes arrived in 4 days). Can't ask for much more than that.
Well, I thought I was ordering a skirt, but to my surprise I got a tank top that was pictured with this top…ugh! And it is a final sale item with no refund or exchange available! Lesson learned…order from astore rather than online!
I have used Tennis Express a few times now, and they never disappoint. I received all three items I ordered promptly, and they all fit perfectly!
Ordered a tennis racquet on 10-15 with one week for shipping. 3 weeks later it arrived and the strings were broken. How do you ship a racquet with strings untied? Sent it back and was told it would be re-strung and sent back in 5 days. 4 WEEKS now and I haven o racquet. Called 3 times, told it was on order, told i would receive a call and an email. Got NO return calls or emails. Every time I call, it is clear no updates on the purchase log is made. Stupid people. Poor quality. Poor service. Never again!
I ordered shoes with them and when I tried them on, they were tight on my feet. They did not accept my return because I tried them on and then I have tried to reach out to have them send my shoes back and no one has responded after repeated phone calls and messages and emails. Then I could not even figure out how to leave a bad review! Am grateful that I saw this and was able to say something here.
The Nike's I paid for were not new as advertised, but pre-owned, perhaps a returned item.
They did not come with the normal Nike packaging like cardboard and paper stuffed in the toe. The outside soles and bottom edges of the shoes are dirty as they would be if previously worn. And they certainly do not smell new. Gross!
While waiting for an order to arrive (in which I was notified was en route) I realized it had been quite a while actually getting to my residence. So when I called the representative did a search and informed me that one of the items I ordered was unavailable, and the other would be delayed. When was someone going to let me know about this? No one seemed to care except me, the one who had paid and was supposedly waiting for an order that was not coming. I was quite annoyed and cancelled the order and any more emails from this site.
Ordered a size 8 but it was not available so I got the 7.5. It was much shorter than a 7.5 in the other brands I normally wear (toe of shoe pressed down on toenails, impossible to wear them) so I have to return them. The New Balance court shoe is the go to for a lot of pickleball and tennis players in my area and hard to find locally so most of us rely on Tennis Express for their tennis/pickleball shoes and clothing. Had I known they ran shorter than my other shoes, I would not have ordered the 7.5 shoes. They are attractive shoes and well made, just too short.
This company is very slick. Big banner all over site free shipping free returns over $50. Very fair. However when you go to return they then state you pay for shipping return because they deduct the cost of the shipping return from your original order that was over $50 before tax. They clearly state costs to get to the free shipping is $50 is pre tax, but never anywhere do they state cost minus tax and minus cost to ship back the return. Totally bogus.
I always buy my sneakers on line and every company I have bought from has free return shipping, certainly not minus a shipping cost to qualify for the minimum return cost of an item.
Placed an order at their website, filled all required fields including shipping address, decide to pay by paypal, they ship for the wrong address, contacted them at the same day asking to correct their mistake; costumer service say they can do nothing as their system automatically switches the address in paypal purchases. Wouldn't it be nice if they tell their costumer about it or even better if they don't require a shipping address in their website since it useless.
I made my first purchase with Tennis Express in late June of this year. All of that went smoothly. I had some problems with the Fila tennis shoes so wrote to Tennis Express concerning the matter. Their site indicates they warrant the out sole for six months. Since mine were less than three months old, I contacted them by email. Three times to be exact. I included pictures of the problem I had incurred. No one from Tennis Express ever responded to any of my service issues. It became obvious that Tennis Express clearly didn't care about it's customers once the sale was made. Their supposed warranty was just empty words to make another sale. I won't make the mistake of using Tennis Express again.
I recently purchased the Wilson Pro Staff RF97 Autograph Tennis Racquet from Tennis Express and it has quickly become my favorite racquet. The racquet is incredibly well-balanced, allowing me to generate plenty of power without sacrificing control. The 97 square inch head size is perfect for my playing style, giving me the ability to hit with precision and spin. The racquet's unique design and Roger Federer's signature on the side also make it a real standout on the court.
Website is easy to use, fast shipping, great service if and when you need it, flexible return policy and the best selection of tennis related products all in one well laid out format. I have used TE for the past 5 years 3-4 times per year and have always had a great experience.
The owner doesn't care and think he knows it all, management is horrible and the warehouse is a constant revolving door of ppl that they hire and fire that's why the online orders are not properly done right. I would definitely recommend you find another place to shop for tennis
Unfortunately, shoe fit/size was not properly disclosed. Other competitors offering the same shoe recommend buying one size larger, but there was no indication of that when I ordered online. That being said, shoes are too narrow/tight and were returned via UPS two days ago as they are not true to size. I will expect a credit soon! Thanks.
I received my order for tennis shoes 4 days late. They were supposed to be delivered on Friday and I didn't receive them until Tuesday night at 7:30.
Trying to contact your company is one of the most difficult websites I've ever used. I tried to follow your prompts regarding late deliveries and I never did find the proper link.
Very poor customer service!
Tried something new and failed. I guess my power and spin combination was to much for these strings. Had them loaded at 58 lbs. and hit with them for about an hour and then played a match. The strings were all over the place and I didn't feel any "pop" off of them especially on my serve. I am merely a recreational player with a 3.5 USTA rating who has only been playing for two years, but I will not go back to synthetic Gut anytime soon.
They fully charged my card a month ago, but short-shipped the order. No notification or updates provided. After three unanswered emails, and three ineffective phone calls (two live; one had to leave a message), they have still not refunded or responded despite assurance on the phone that they would credit my credit card the same day as my the second phone call. Very frustrating experience. Either incompetent or deceitful. Easily my worst online ordering experience. Still waiting. Would not recommend.
Watch out for the fine print on returns to Tennis Express. It may be "free shipping".
Especially around the holidays, buyer beware, as there is a fee if the return does not meet a specific amount.
There is a disclaimer in small print at the bottom of the ad that says "returns".
It's only free returns, if you spend a certain amount.
