I have been waiting for over an hour to ask a simple question as to why my account was reactivated when payment take. Also to find out why they do not have a more reactive communication when there is a delay in payment especially due to COVID? Obviously they do not understand the importance of this type of communication in times like these!
This company is a ripoff and I would never recommend them to anyone. They are only out for the money and have no integrity. A bad company indeed! There are many other platforms out there that are free that work just as good and Zoom is one of them. Don' t waste your money on TeamViewer!
TeamViewer has very poor customer service and product performance. It's impossible to speak to TeamViewer, contact tech support and cancel their service. Once you've signed up it's impossible to cancel. During these difficult economic times TeamViewer is unwilling to refund annual fee for service we have never used and have repeatedly asked to cancel.
I used the free version of TV for at least and a year and was enthralled with how easy it was to use across my various PCs and remote servers. Enthralled, until in a fit of insanity I purchased the $1k license. Thinking the free was so good, the purchased version must be even better. Boy was I wrong. There were so many login requirements and half the time I couldn't get anything to work. Finally, I gave up and wrote off my $1k. Never pay for TV, if they start to ban you just delete the software.
Total scam do not use this company.
We paid a annual Subscription and we decided not to continue and they charged us for another year subscription and we never authorised and there is no way speaking to this people they are complete useless and they referred our details to the collection agency do not use this company they are very very bad
TV has offered a free use account for years. They still do. When trying to use it, you are told you are using for commercial purposes which is not true and it is disabled. They advise an option to restore the free account but once the option is taken, there is no action on their part. They are doing this to all Free accounts with no warning, explanation, or correction. There is no response from TV on the issue. Strongly advise using a competive product.
I contacted Teamviewer to cancel my contract with the correct notice.
Seven months later I received a letter saying I have 7 days to pay a final invoice before debt recovery. The letter was received 2 weeks after the 7 day notice- didnt even pay the correct postage!
Immediately contacted Teamviewer support to explain the situation.
I was told previous letters had been sent(never received) and previous emails sent ( email address had been out of use for a year!)
Arrogant, dishonest and disorganised!
They rely completely on their end-license agreement to enroll you automatically in a never ending renewal. They state you will be billed out of Florida and then bill you out of Germany on a non-authorized yearly renewal.
I have used Teamviewer for free to support computers of family and friends (my dad and one disabled friend principally) so I know the product very well. It's good.
However, I own a small retail business with two stores, and I need to connect to the servers and cash registers in both stores, and my accountant needs to connect to my home computer and my servers once a week or so. This would cost be $200 a month for Teamviewer - $2400 per year(!), a nontrivial percentage of my net. I pay less from Comcast for network service. I get the same ability, with no loss in features or solidness as far as I can see, with Splashtop for $60/year.
Terrible company with terrible practices, they tell you can't use the software for personal use and then accuse you of commercial use and time you out and disconnect you and lock you out, horrible just say you can't use it if you don't pay, I could deal with that and go elsewhere
I called them to cancel and refund my subscription within 7 days of the purchase. They agreed over the phone and said it was cancelled. After waiting over 3 weeks for the refund I received none and issued a chargeback to get my money back.
Now, without any warning, they sent a credit collections agency for the money they agreed to refund!
Total scam. Do not do business with this fraudulent company.
Best remote desktop software on the market - This is what I use for my remote desktop control. You can try it free for personal use as well. They do have other featuers such as chat for more professional use, such as showing people demos over the web.
I tried Teamviewer when my husband had to be near the hospital while receiving chemo and radiation, I needed to log into my office computer and print documents to my portable printer. It did not work, tech support said that it was not an option, they charged me over 500.00. They said I would be refunded, I never did get a refund, then all of the sudden a year later, they hit my bank acct for almost 600.00. They claim I did not cancel within 25 days of the renewal. I never used it. They will not give me my money back, because I cant prove I cancelled.
I only use my laptop teamviewer to connect ot my other computers at my other houses or at my friends houses and lately i am always having trouble with your software for no reason and this is getting ridiculous and out of hand. I havent even ever had the damn computer ever connected to a corporate network and i dont have any computers or devices on a corporate network to connect to so i dont understand why i keep having these problems. If this doesnt stop im going to stop using teamviewer because it has become nothing but $#*! that you people can use to try and con people out of their money. If this happens again on any of my devices for no reason then im taking all my devices and all my friends and families devices with me because this is bull$#*! and im sick of filling out this damn form all the time for you people to sit on your asses and do nothing
They are scammers when it comes to trying to cancel. Tried to do it online but for some reason it didn't go through, tried to call but on hold for an hour, changed my credit card so now they want to send me to collections to try and get payment on the subscription I tried to cancel. Sucky company!
I have been using this for years and was very pleased, but recently Teamviewer has been creating a popup at logoff telling me that business use was detected and prompting me to buy the full featured version vs using the free model. Yesterday I was allowed 60 seconds to use the program before being bounced and immediately installed and began to use a paid for version of Remotepc. It is affordable and now do not have to worry about all the incorrect heat as emitted by Teamviewer. NoTeamviewer.
You will buy licence, then they will update ''version" and ofcourse new version are not compatible with old one(s) and you have to buy new licences. Be carefull with this company, they cheat as much they can. Its coming 2-3 new version per year or something, good for TeamViewer bad for customer. I am company user so I am not paying myself but it is really really frustrating to update licences all the time, and finally there are cheeper and better on the market as well.
Teamview fraudulently took an entire years membership without permission
I no longer use TeamViewer yet somewhere in the the fine print with Palypal they debited an entire years service without my concept. PayPal say not their issue. TeamViewer so tough luck.
How the * are the allowed to simply take an entire years membership without my permission. They say 28 days for cancellation. Sure... So take a month which I won't use but common, an entire friggen year. Gonna fight them. Tooth and nail the F*!
I wanted to cancel and they won't let me cancel. I asked for a prorated refund for a program I am not using and they refuse. They stop responding to my emails. So the best I can get is that they said they will cancel me when the year subscription is up. I just hope they do not slip me through and try to take my money. I do not want an auto renewal. This is notice to Teamviewer.
I accidentally shared my PIN code with someone I didn't know well and was concerned that they may have snooped around in my computer while I was in a meeting with them, so I contacted Team Viewer's support team. I explained the situation and my concern that personal information may have been stolen from my PC. After 3 days, someone from Team Viewer security got back to me. They told me to send them the log files and the date of the suspected breach, which I promptly did. It has been over 2 weeks, and I have not heard anything back from them. Thanks for putting my mind at ease, Team Viewer!

Answer: Definitely Chrome Remote Desktop. Been using for about 4 years now and haven't had any issues. Improvements over the few years since I first started using it have made it even better.
