J'ai réservé et PAYé deux interventions de montage de meuble IKEA (car proposé lors de l'achat sur le site internet d'IKEA) et je me suis organisé en conséquence, au final j'ai reçu une annulation sans raison et la seconde commande s'est volatisée comme par magie.
J'ai passé plus d'une heure à "dialoguer sur le chatbot" sans aucun résultat.
Un conseil, fuyez! Ne surtout rien réserver sous peine de grosse perte de temps, c'est qui est l'opposé du concept de base!
I purchased some wall units from IKEA. With my receipt came an email from Taskrabbit suggesting I use them to install the units. They knew I purchased 12 lack units and quoted me $132. They sent me two reminders asking if I'd like to use them, showing a link to the lack wall units I'd purchased and including the $132 quote. I used the link in their email, gave them my address (though they already knew it per my IKEA receipt where they quoted me a rate to mount the 12 units). Brandon was suggested to me. He said doing the job would be $223+ ($71/hour - 3 hours). I'd already done all the measuring and located where the 24 holes needed to be drilled. I simply am not strong enough to drill into plaster. He held firm at 3 hours. Ok. This was almost 100% more than what Taskrabbit quoted. I accepted that. Then Brandon said his rate was even higher for mounting, $85/hour. All I did was follow TaskRabbit's link, which brought me to Brandon (when I viewed other options they were $71-$92/hour). TaskRabbit also charges 15% on top of whatever the fee is. I cancelled Brandon and called TaskRabbit. Their customer service rep explained that TaskRabbit takes no responsibility for quotes given at the time of an IKEA purchase - quotes for THEIR work. I didn't understand that. They have a business collaboration. It seems TaskRabbit would want to ensure that the quote IKEA is giving to people is accurate to avoid unhappy customer like me from feeling how I do now and taking up the time of their customer service folks as well as posting a review that offers the transparency TaskRabit fails to. My conclusion: TaskRabbit does not care about customers. They know people need help to build and install products. They know people will give in and pay whatever the cost is, no matter how inaccurate a quote is and no matter how much more a "tasker" charges than what their listed rate is. IT IS PREDATORY. Have accountability, TaskRabbit. Improve your quoting system with IKEA and hold your taskers accountable with their rates. Don't allow arbitrary price elasticity. Hold yourself accountable for the taskers you are availing to your customers. Don't say that because they are independent contractors, you have no responsibility. That is what the customer service rep said to me.
