Omer came today to put together IKEA cupboards
/pantries.
He was very polite, worked hard and with competence. I am very pleased with the results, and will certainly use his services again.
The Tasker was not professional at all. He came in criticizing us for letting IKEA delivery men place the delivery in the room to be assembled. He asks my brother to help him build it and after 6 hrs below in the picture is proof of what he gets done. I got charged for the incomplete task. Anytime he can't find anything he blames us for throwing the boxes out with some parts whereas the parts are in the room he misplaced them. I contacted the support team and no one got back to me with the issue. This incident happened last Wednesday, and now today is Tuesday. The room is still a mess and the partially built wardrobe is just siting their catching dust. I don't recommend buying any big furniture from IKEA unless you can built it yourself. Especially these wardrobes, they are complicated and these taskers them selves cannot build them. You would think that IKEA is a very professional and big company, and then promoting TaskRabbit, you can blindly trust the taskers. Don't make the mistake I did, because I have had the worst experience and still waiting for TaskRabbit to get back to me with a solution.
I have got already service from TaskRabbit. I have trouble to pay. I couldn't find any person to answer. I didn't get any solution from firm. I send a lot of mail to support team as much as belows.
"You have been sending me the same email over and over again and I've been replying to you with same answer which will seem to go on forever unless we find an actual solution to problem at hand.
You are asking me to update my billing information: I've done that more times than I'd like to admit. I've tried different cards, banks. None of them worked. I used those cards for different purchases from internet countless times in the last few weeks and never had a single problem. Obviously we won't be able to fix our issue by constantly updating the billing information. I would love to pay you back if there are any other means to pay, like bank transfer or PayPal."

After 6 months of emails saying "we have send your concerns to someone hire, they will assist you soon" when I get these emails I never get a response. And there is no customer service number that you can call to figure it out. They only have a number for clients to report damage or emgency and will redirect you to email. Crappy experience. THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND DID NOTHING.
Literally the worst customer service i've ever experienced. Matt G. Obviously lied on his resume to get his job. The most rude and inconsiderate customer service I've ever come across. My task rabbit guy didnt show up and they charged me $60 for the job, wont refund me, and wont apply a credit onto my account. STAY AWAY FROM TASK RABBIT.
My girlfriends and I hired a guy in LA on TaskRabbit to move and hang a couple things. The platform of the app is easy and very convenient. The guy arrived on-time and was eager. He did a great job and for those reasons TaskRabbit is a fine service.
However, this guy was super attentive to all the girls. Definitely checked all of us out over and over again like almost to the point where he must have never seen females before. He tried to friend one of us on InstaGram and gave his cell phone number too letting us know that he does personal jobs on the side. He inserted himself in our conversations and in my opinion was overly friendly.
I checked out his reviews before hiring and they are all mostly great but I did think it was odd that his reviews have 99% women on them. Now after meeting him and watching his interactions it must be his goal to only have women hire him. Its more than a little unprofessional and weird that the handyman you hire comes into your home and is flirty and even goes to the lengths of offering private help and starts following you on a social media site... CREEPY!
I know that "boys will be boys" but whoever thinks that a girl is going to pick up a guy from a website like this is hysterical to me! TaskRabbit should have rules for their hired help that comes to your home and ask them to be less sexually motivated!
My rating is based on the customer service only.
The telephone number they provide never answer and the website is good only to make the bookings and nothing else. For a week I have been trying to contact them, without any luck.
They are charging me a cancelation fee for $37, eventhough, they are the one who made a mistake. They assigned me two taskers for the same job. One in the morning and the other in the afternoon. So, I had to cancel one of them (the afternoon one) trough their website.
They received the email and confirmed the cancelation. Two days later they sent me the invoice of the cancelation for $37.
Do I have to pay for their mistake?
I don't think I will ever book anyone from task rabbit again as the experience was not very pleasant. The person who came was not only late but obnoxious, angry and difficult to deal with.
Unfortunately I can't give this company zero stars. The 1 star that I have given allows me to give my review!
I had never shopped in Ikea before until yesterday 21 June. I live in a upstairs flat and it is virtually impossible to get furniture up the stairs. A friend recommended Ikea, he told me they could arrange assembly of any furniture I bought from them. So I decided to buy myself a chair recliner. Ikea sent me a link in a text for Task Rabbit. I signed up to Task Rabbit and an appointment was made for a tasker to come and assemble my chair. By late afternoon Task Rabbit had cancelled my appointment so I made another appointment and this to was cancelled within a few hours. I'm a man in his late 70s who has never bought or assembled flat pack furniture and I don't intend trying now so to have someone come out and pay them to do the job has to be a bonus. Had I have read all the bad reviews about Task Rabbit I would never have gone to Ikea in the first place. Beware if you are thinking of buying flat pack furniture and are unable to assemble it yourself the please think twice about using Task Rabbit.
I asked for a job to be done after 11am. This guy Ali B accepted the job on that basis and then told me that he could ONLY start at 9am. When I told him that he's accepted a job for a later time, he impolitely told me to cancel the booking, no further discussion.
This is an absolutely terrible service. Ikea and Task Rabbit should be ashamed of their new partnership and take time to really iron out the factors that lead to customer satisfaction.
It is easy enough to set up, BUT, we booked our Task Rabbit service to assemble IKEA furniture, having no option of the tasker as we were assigned the tasker.
Not only did the tasker not show up at all, he did not respond to our numerous attempts at getting a hold of him, NOR DID IKEA OR TASK RABBIT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I have had two movers either cancel at the very last minute or lie and say their car broke down! I didn't have but two things to move and they flaked! Do not hire
Waited a week. Multiple emails. A waited over an hour on the phone. Do not use them! They are a fraud.
Multiple times I tried to schedule a tasker... not one was available. The only person who said he was available (Gilbert M.) canceled last minute. Don't bother.
TaskRabbit's current price is 35% service fee that doesn't reflect the experience I have had. The taskers that you hire given their profile are not the ones that show up at your door. They are very unprofessional and almost illegitimate workers operating out of one main profile account. I am surprised TaskRabbit hasn't been shut down yet for this kind of shady business practice. When you hire one worker, all of a sudden two show up. When you tell the tasker politely but firm you only hired one tasker, they try to get into a confrontation with them. Not a good way to make business trustworthy. Looking at further reviews of TaskRabbit it appears that others have experienced the same thing and Task Rabbit even know about it on their website yet it appears the problem still persist. Also taskers are not skillful in handling your belongings and make wrong judgements about your stuff. They do not know how to move heavy boxes by using a two person lift method instead they try to haul big boxes by themselves, risking injury as well as dropping the valuable belongings, which happened. I just want to warn people not to use this service and stick with professional moving services from now on. None of these mediocre clowns that don't know what they are doing and are operating all under the same name.
I had recently moved, and was using task rabbit quite frequently for handy man work around the house. I was extremely disappointed to find out that most "taskers" were not experienced, and often dishonest about their capabilities. However, I was most disappointed with task rabbits overall lack of accountability when things went wrong. I had hired someone to install tracking for a sliding closet door. The person who accepted this task ended up unnecessarily ripping my newly installed carpeting. He assured me that Task Rabbit's insurance would cover the repair of my carpet. At first, task rabbit support was responsive and guaranteed that they would make this right. After sending them the quote to have my carpet repaired, they became impossible to get a hold of. Even telling me that they "don't have a phone number" and all support communication is done "strictly through email". That not only extremely inconvenient, but also hard for me to believe. After this negative experience and their lack of accountability, I will never use this service again.
REGISTERED WITH THIS CREEPY CALIFORNIA RIPOFF COMPANY AS A "TASKER"... i HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN THE HANDYMAN BUSINESS FOR YEARS AND WAS JUST WANTING TO TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT ---
DON'T! THEY WILL TELL YOU AFTER THEY CHARGE YOU $20.00 THAT YOU MIGHT / MIGHT NOT GET ACCEPTED TO THEIR LITTLE "CLUB"... THIS IS A BULL$#*! COMPANY... DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!
PASS ON THIS RIPOFF SCAM! THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE ARRESTED!
I applied to be a "Tasker" in Atlanta at least 6 months ago and STILL they are "too busy" to actually hire me to do 75% of the things they are looking to hire people for - that I am qualified or over qualified for. Serious WASTE OF TIME filling out all their crap.
I booked several Taskers over the last few months and they either don't show or cancel at the last minute.
Total waste of time sitting around waiting for them.
Taskrabbit support fails to answer messages sent to discuss the issue.
LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GET THE JOB DONE!
I have been working as a Tasker for nearly a year, and they do not treat us well at all! If I have any issues, they do not respond via their requested form of communication (email). If I use the chat option, they just leave the chat if they do not have answers. Also, they leave you completely in the dark as to the status of any issues. I show up to every job that I get, do a good job, and sometimes have a question or need help with invoicing, and they drag their feet for weeks. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! They DO NOT CARE about their contractors, or the outcomes for their clients!
Answer: Mine responded and loved to chat. At the end, he cancelled the appointment. What a waste of time. Very disappointing.
Answer: Hi Carlos, thanks for your inquiry! When registering, a form of payment as well as bank info is required. The form of payment covers the cost of registration and the bank info is linked to your account so that you can receive payment from your Client once you begin tasking.
