She gave me a discount of $ 40but she added $50 traveling.
And changed my schedule for the next day ( Monday)
My agreement was to come on Sunday at 3pm.
She called around 2 15pm saying that they are very busy and they will be there at 8:30 pm.
I said Noi its too late.
Our agreement was to pay one hour for traveling.
She was sorry and give me a$40 discount.
She send me a different agreement with 2 hours moving ( when at first it was 3 and half hour)
When I asked her why she is charging 1 hour and half for traveling,
She responded because of the traffic.
She gave me a $ 40 discount but added an half hour of $50 for traveling.
I lost a day of work and a dentist appointment.

For my first task I hired a painter for the following Sunday at 11. During the week we communicated about the details and he asked to move the appointment earlier to 9:30am. At 9:30 he said the trains were delayed. He then said he was coming at 10:30. Suddenly at 10:45 he canceled the job. The worst part is that I can't review him on the app because he didn't cancel it officially. The help desk couldn't resolve it. Never using taskrabbit again.
I need work done inside my home and initially selected them because they tout that their Taskers are background checked. When signing up, I read their terms and this is a direct quote from their terms of service as of 2/21/2018.
"Although Company may perform background checks of Users, as outlined above, Company is not required to do so and cannot confirm that each User is who they claim to be and therefore, Company cannot and does not assume any responsibility for the accuracy or reliability of identity or background check information or any information provided through the TaskRabbit Platform."
WTF?!
This is the second time I've cancelled and second day I've wasted my almost non-existent free time to arrange a tasker.
Both times the taskers were younger males and tried to chat online beforehand! This isn't a dating app! One asked if I was "available now" when my appoitment was set for later that day, then tried to call me several times. The reason I'm hiring someone off an app is because I don't want to talk on the phone.
Is this a joke? These people are SO unprofessional. It's important to note that I don't even have my age or a profile picture or anything. Why TF would I allow some creepy guy into my apartment? My standards aren't high at all but this is just sridiculous.
I have been burned 3 times now by taskers that confirm and show up 45min to 1hr late or dont show up. Mu last burn was Friday when I hired a bartender for a party. The showed up 45 min late, no wine key, looked like they had never opened a bottle of wine then proceeded to pour the wine holding the neck of the bottle.
Task Rabbit of course will charge you the full amount even though they worked 45min less and there customer service is non-responsive.
If they have no way of resolving this it is looking like they are scamming people.
I bought a piece of furniture from Ikea Ottawa. Taskrabbit was supposed to come at 8am on Saturday morning to assemble. At 9am he had not shown up, so I contacted them. They said Artur M had scheduled me for 9:30. At 9:40 I got a message from Artur M who said he could not come until 6-7pm that night. I cancelled the assembly.
I think the worst, biggest scam I've ever experienced. Rescheduled a bunch of times. Damaged our property. Damaged the ikea furniture. Left and didn't return mid way leaving the furniture part assembled DANGEROUSLY not secured. AVOID. AVOID. A NIGHTMARE
The absolute WORSE experience!
I hired a tasker to mover few pieces of furniture for me. Immediately he broke a very expensive piece of furniture. He said to me not to worry and that he's bonded and inssured through TaskRabbit.
Though upset... I decided I would deal with it once the task was completed. He seemed like a very nice man so I gave him a $70 tip for a approximately $450 job and gave him a nice review. Once job was completed, I opened my claim with TaskRabbit and attached photos. I had the hardest time to get a response and when they finally responded they claimed they bare no responsibility and that I had to go through my own insurance company. I disputed the charges with my CC company. The fact is... they are the worse company to use for your everyday tasks. There are many many companies that offer same service. DO NOT USE THEM!

Terrible customer experience, IKea did not deliver complete order and we had to cancel Taskrabbit's appointment. We tried to send text, chat message, etc., there was no good way of contacting the company and no telephone number to call. The taskrabbit installer never got a timely cancellation notice from taskrabbit. Terribly UX, DO NOT USE TASKRABBIT.
Booked and paid for an appointment for 12pm, days in advance. Called and asked if they could come at 2. At 230 i called to check in and they said 630pm
Emailed Taskrabbit - no response (no phone no on website)
Googled a phone no and called and was directed back to email.
Now new Tasker will be coming 2 days later than when I booked
The company seems impossible to contact. When a fee, tagged "task rabbit" showed up in my bank account, it was accompanied by a telephone number. When called - the number was DISCONNECTED. Unsavory business practices - that's all I have to say.
I had an issue w/ my kitchen sink my friend suggested to check them out. First, you need to register and add your credit card on their site so it's kinda iffy about it but I did it anyway. I made appt but I'd to cancel it w/in 24 hours. They didn't get my cancelation, the tech came but no one at home, so they still charged me for it. I called but the customer service so effing rude, she kept telling me I'd to abide with their policy (which I didn't really read it), so basically if you canceled w/in 24 hours you willl get charge for it. She didn't even try to work w me for a better solutions, so basically you canceled it that's your problem bc you didn't read our policy! Wth? I don't feel entitled for the refund but at least trying to have another way to solve the issue. So much for being a customer service. You better look for a handy man, plumber yourself don't bother w a middle person/company/taskrabbit and you still have to pay fee for them.
Hello to all reading my rant. If you are loookig for extra money on Task Rabbit, you are wasting time. You show up to do do odd little jobs and might not get paid. These fools on the other side just want free favors and don't want to pay. They want 20 bucks to register for Task Rabbit and that is too much to charge for nonsense. BIG BIG WASTE OF TIME.

Both of the companies are a joke. "Taskers" were to be at our home two weeks ago Thursday and bailed on Wednesday night. They reschedules for? Saturday and bailed again Friday night. Then they reshedules for this Wednesday and bailed tuesday night. Then they scheduled for this Friday at 8 AM and now changed it to 5 PM. Really! You cannot talk to these peoples (I'm being nice) because they have suspended call service WTF! No doubt in my mind this will be $#*! show when they get here RC in WI
Please beware- if a Tasker steals from you, TaskRabbit will refuse to issued a refund for the task or cooperate with law enforcement after a police report has been filed. And the tasker who committed the crime still has an active account almost two months later--- the crime occurred on 7 December and the police report was filed two days later. TaskRabbit refused to respond to my emails until 13 days later, then refused to respond to Metropolitan Police until WEEKS later. Then claimed they couldn't assist with the investigation unless a search warrant or subpoena was issued---- which can't happen unless TaskRabbit provides the police with the thief's information.
Site must be cursed with all the "family emergencies." They don't hold anybody accountable for anything! Their employees have 5 star profiles, and won't think ANYTHING of just totally BLOWING OFF your job. And then you can't rate and review them unless you contact the company directly, which is nearly impossible. This happened to me TWICE in one weekend. And get this, the second guy had learned to game the system, he literally sent me a text, "Thanks for hiring me," but I guess he'd never officially schuduled the job on his end, so I couldn't leave a negative review. If he's a five star employee I'm the Queen of England. No thanks.

Beware of this site! I wish I could give them a negative rating. You can not call the "company", because they don't accept the phone calls! They don't answer emails neither! Worst company I have ever dealt with. Don't use this site. Unreliable and shouldn't be in business. I had a really experience with the tasker whose name is Erdem B. The boxes were in the living room, when I asked if he would help me to move them downstairs he asked me eighty dollars for 4 wardrobes. I did not accept and I moved them by myself. Then he started to assembly the first wardrobe but it did fit the place, so I asked him to disassemble it, he then said he was just going to leave, and he left without doing that. He only assembled one nightstand and one chest drawer and left. He was so rude and I am by myself with the unfinished pieces all over my basement floor.
I spent alot of time trying to register as a tasker, filling out all their questionaires, getting my financial documents ready. But then after I submitted all my paperwork they send me an email saying that there is no demand for the services I registered to provide. WTF? Why didn't you inform me while I was filling out all your questionaires and forms. Please pay me for the time I spent trying to resgister becoming a tasker. This is bull$#*!.
