The overall reputation of the company reflects a mix of positive and negative sentiments. Customers appreciate the convenience, product variety, and competitive pricing, particularly praising the store's layout and exclusive brands. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, with reports of long wait times, unresponsive staff, and issues with online orders and returns. Many customers express frustration over outdated products and perceived indifference from management. These trends suggest that while the company offers a strong shopping experience, substantial improvements in customer support and service reliability are needed to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

It's been a while since I last visited a Target store. No great loss. What is it that makes a once quality-managed company like Target go downhill? Poor leadership. Under Brian Cornell's direction as CEO, Target stores have demonstrated how shabby a customer is treated these days. At East Boynton Beach, Florida, Target team members ignore their phones, managers do not appear on the floor, and Guest Services employees practice rudeness as the preferred way of dealing with customers. And, don't bother emailing Brian Cornell at the Target address. Those emails don't get answered. Compare prices at Target, but buy from Amazon, Wayfair, or anyplace else.
I love being able to get target gift cards. I usually use them to buy Thanksgiving dinner...well most of the stuff. So I try to save until November.
Target is a terrible place to work with 0 considerations for its employees or anything that may happen in life. They force you to work sick with covid and vomiting iunder threat of losing job for following supposed rules for being sick.
I just applied at Target in Rocky River to be a part-time cashier. I have an open schedule and am willing to cover shifts when needed. I am a 54-year-old woman with plenty of customer service experience. The Rocky River store is staffed with younger people but this never entered my mind until I was shockingly rejected after completing the automated interview process. AND…I look like I am in my 40s (luck of genetics) Even friends and family couldn't believe that I did not get hired because they know me and my background. So….if you are a little older, you might do yourself a favor and avoid wasting time applying at Target because you most likely will not get the job. Of course, it is hard to prove AGEISM but sad to say that Target never actually met me in person but judge me via a video interview.
The first step to applying at Target is completing an outline application and assessment. The assessment takes 20 minutes or so and asks you the same question 3 or 4 different ways to find out if you are a liar, etc. I have taken these before. We all have. The second step comes quickly because the algorithm reads the assessment results. You then get an email from Target saying CONGRATULATIONS, you've been selected for Step 2. Great! Then, they send you a new email asking for a Recorded Interview (again automated, on-line). In addition to customer service, I am an experienced teacher so I took time to look professional before going on camera. I completed their practice questions and then recorded myself on answering the typical interview questions (Name a time when you collaborated with someone to complete a goal; Describe a time when you overcame a challenge. Etc.) I was clear, smiley, concise, and professional. But, the next day, I received an email explaining that they do not have a position for me at this time. Yet, in the store, there is a big NOW HIRING sign. AGEISM is the only factor I can think of for not hiring someone with an open schedule and a relevant experience. It is a shame, because if they took the time to give me an in-person interview with a one-on-one human discussion, Target would have discovered that I am a great employee who just took a job at another Rocky River establishment. I have employment. I am happy, but I will never shop at Target again. Good luck job seekers. You're going to need youth at Target.
On a recent visit to Target, I stood in line at the guest services desk behind a single customer. When that customer left, the Target employee did not look up from her work to recognize or greet me in any way. It was as if there was no one in front of her. When I greeted her, she still did not make eye contact with me, nor did she offer a hello. I am guessing more than 50% of Target's customers are in my age group (55+) and that nearly 90% of us have a similar experience with young workers pretending we are invisible. Curious about others' experience with being treated as though you are invisible.
I placed and order for pick up and when I checked my bill they had charged me for the reduced cost and 15.00 for the promotional so I'm essence you paid for your order in full. Ex my order was 89.42 in which they applied a 15 promo which reduced my bill to 64.92 but then charged my card 15.00 for the promo. I spoke with a rep and she told me that it will be refunded within 3 to 5 business days. It's been 7 business days only to discover I will not be refunded that's how the promo work. Telling me that I only paid 64.92 not acknowledging the 15.00 they took out saying they sent a coupon for the other 15.00 which basically I paid for. Why would I need a coupon to use on my next visit when the discount was for my current order. I may not want to go shopping for anything else and would have altered my decision to have the discount applied if I was gone have to pay for it anyway. I hate this store this the second time this has occurred. I will not stop until my money is returned to me. This is crazy that you have to pay for your promo to be used on another order and then you must use within a certain timeframe which can expire because I don't shop here enough. I promise I will never shop at Target again. If this is an indication of how they treat customers no wonder they have a hard time finding employees
Manager was extremely rude to me when I went inside to ask about my online order. She told me I have to go outside and wait over 30 minutes before my order will be done. I live over 30 minutes away and she told me to leave and come all the way back or cancel my order. I said I can not cancel my order because I used a giftcard and she proceeded to tell me I would lose all of the money on the gift card with no refund.
Without any doubt the worst Target on the planet! Stay away. Consistently rude managers. Corporate does nothing about them. Bad managers =bad employees...
"I pre-ordered a Funko POP in October. Then I start seeing them in stores. I contact Target.com and was told not to worry, I would receive my product shortly. On 1-6-23 I get a notice my order was canceled due to being out of stock! When I called I got the run around. I asked for a hire up and was told they would call me back within 24hrs. It's been over 48hrs.
I went to target to restock on my favorite microwaved pizza but i couldnt find it so i asked one of the employeses but the moment i inhaled a small portion of oxygen my nostrils were met with the fate of death and were clogged by the most outrageous stinkiest smelliest odor i have ever sniffed in my LIFE. Please give your workers free/or at least a discount on hygiene products and encourage them to shower more often. Thank You.
I received a gift for Christmas which i did not need. So upon returning the item and just get a store gift card they informed me that I cannot return any additional items for the remainder of the year, until 2024. There is a $100 cap on returns. I just reminded me again why I never shop at this place.
Purchased 3 boxes of NFL Select Draft Picks football cards. The package was shipped by target using UPS service. Box arrived crushed. I requested replacement product from Target. They supplied shipping label for return. Was told replacement product would be shipped once damaged product was returned. Product was returned. Return was denied because sports cards aren't a returnable product. So they kept my damaged product and my money. I couldn't file claim with credit card company because I used Target credit card. Filed a claim with better business bureau. They contacted Target and Target said there policy is firm. No returns. Even though product arrived damaged. I mean they were crushed. WTF.
The return was shipped and then denied. They didnt ship damage product back nor did they refund or replace
14.4 Billion Dollar Company. Screwed me out of $185.00
So to Sum Things Up... IF & When your ORDER is Delivered to the WRONG ADDRESS...GOOD LUCK. Never Ever Happened To Me, I'm Now Out $60.00 for the Gift of Similac I Sent... To my Daughter Who happens to be. FINANCIALLY SECURE... JUST A GIFT...SOMEHOW? It was Delivered Elsewhere, I Received a Txt from target package has been delivered & Immediately called my daughter to Look out Front for A DELIVERY... NOTHING THERE, I CALLED Customer Services & I'm Getting the 3rd Degree on a Package I sent across town. Seems that my daughter& New Born Granddaughter Were to door Knock & Look for the $60.00. Delivery they NEVER RECEIVED, HA HA HA,THEN with the broken English tells me I'd get credited...Ha ha ha yep. DIDNT HAPPEN
Made me stand in the exchanges & return line to do an online order pick up.
I'll never do this again. What a waste of time. It would have been faster for me to purchase my item in the store and stand in line at the register. What sense does that make to make me stand in the return line with 10 other people doing returns 2 days after Christmas for an online order pickup.
If you have an item that you want to return but don't have a receipt don't bother wasting your time they won't nor will they exchange it for one that work. They obviously don't stand behind there products and don't care I have had to exchange stuff before at other brand store and never had an issue like I did at target. Never again will I shop there
I live in the USA and watching show on Peacock and a commercial comes on in a foreign language. I couldn't understand a word but did recognize the target logo. So I guess you really don't care about all the English speaking people who see your commercial. I hope you can make enough profit off that small segment of the USA to make that commercial profitable. I'll just continue to shop elsewhere.
I will no longer shop at target beciase I'm white and can't identify with all the black actors. You must be targeting black consumers - bad choice! They're only 13% if the population! How soon target forgets the black thugs stealing from their stores in California! Go woke go broke you anti white racist company! I will spread the word to Al my family friends colleagues and neighbors. F the racist white target company!
Purchased bike for Christmas. Two days later it went on sale. I did not have my receipt and girl at service desk said bring receipt back in anytime before Christmas and they would honor the sale price up to Christmas. That was a lie they did not honor the sale price after bringing my receipt back in! Very poor customer service!
I bought several gift cards at target for Christmas gifts they got mixed up called about finding balance was asked for seq # which I didnt need to scratch anything for and was told the card was used up?"?(It was still in sleeve and silver scratch area was NOT scratched but they claim it was used up... I was sent to expedited division was told by this person I had to scratch the silver off I did then was told the card was not used and still had amount I paid for...so here I am with a gift card and the silver scratch off scratched and "supervisor told me they could send me out another gift card but it won't get here til AFTER Christmas she said I could NOT use this card which THEY screwed up on me to buy another gift card they *******@CKED me im done with this TOILET store and their customer service I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on this store STINKS
I ordered a transformer for my grandson and was charged twice of $74.19 I haven't received a credit I was told the second charge was a security charge that would eventually be credited back to my account I am very upset
Answer: Looks like Target has sent a lot of ringers here to up their ratings in the last few months. Nice try guys but your whole shopping experience is still subpar. To answer this question, IT DEPENDS on where you live and what you order. If you're right next to their warehouse, SURPRISE, it's there in a day and you think they are fantastic. If you live far away, the item is no longer in stock or they are slow to fill it, it could take six weeks. It did for us on a couple of occasions, SO it's the luck of the draw and certainly NOT better than Amazon.
Answer: Sure! A'ja; glkjadlgj 'alkd'g a'ldkg a'kl ;d ; aljdgl kajdl; kgja'dogja' ldgj'aljgd'aklg' aklgd'aldkg a'lgd
Answer: Be careful. If the item suddenly becomes unavailable that you already paid for you will have to wait 30 days for your refund.
Answer: Sometime from other sites, malware can be picked up to track your internet history. I don't think target's website would carry that!
Answer: I'm sorry. I ordered a lot from target.com and never had a problembefore, but when I finally did have a problem... hours and days on the phone. One of the service techs put me on hold for 30 minutes. Another put me on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up. Horrible.
Answer: I was unable to purchase a prepaid phone card with my gift card. This fact was not disclosed in the product description so I found out at the checkout when it was too late. Now am stuck with the useless gift card. I am very disappointed in Target shopping and will never buy anything from them ever again. I do not recommend Target shopping to anyone. Spare yourself some aggravation and shop elsewhere. Enough said.
