T-Mobile Reviews Summary

T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

I called T-Mobile to sign up b/c I received an offer in the mail for the "Essential Plan" for my wife & I. We signed up & were charged $111.28 initially on 7/27/22 for activation & they sent us 2 new Samsung A13s. We received the phones (2 days later) & I called them back to activate. There were No Chargers & No Sim Cards so the phones didn't work so I told them to cancel everything & we sent the phones back the same day. They did get the phones on 8/4/22 & I called again to get my money refunded which they said it would take a few days. Today found out they took $83.71 out of my account for telephone monthly service, this is $20 more than the monthly charge they said it would be. I called my bank to dispute the charge & found out they NEVER EVEN REFUNDED THE $111.28 THEY SAID THEY DID! I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH, STAY FAR AWAY FROM T-MOBILE! I have all the emails & other information, I may have to go to court to get my money!

Poor customer service, significant price increase once you become a customer, incompetent sales people (took out SIM card with valuable information and deleted it without warning). If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Thieves and Liars
August 19, 2022

Where to begin! First off, we were Sprint customers for years and never really had issues. They had great programs for Uber drivers, which we promptly took advantage of when my spouse was doing Uber in the pandemic. I left Verizon to join my spouse's Sprint plan and in doing so, we were offered a $250 gift card and got a free lower tiered Samsung. Per Sprint's lease agreement at the time, you could basically buy your phone by paying for it in each monthly lease. We had paid for the Google phone in full and kept it, and bought an iPhone direct in full and pulled the Google off to add the iPhone. We did that same thing with another Samsung (not the free one.) Fast forward to T-Mobile taking over; I hate them, I hate their service, I hate their rules, I hate that they don't honor a thing about your Sprint contract, I hate that they don't honor my employer's code for a discount. Come to find out, we're on a month to month lease and have been paying monthly for these friggin phones that have already been paid for in full. It's taken me months to get out of TMobile's claws. Google Fi folks, that's what we are doing now and it's $90 a month for 4 lines of unlimited data. Now keep in mind we own all our phones so there's no monthly lease payment. Stop doing that! Just buy your phone unlocked and your are free from contracts! So when we went to cancel T-Mobile they said we couldn't keep the free Samsung, the Google phone that we paid for in full, and so we returned them. Weeks later these thieves are charging me over $250 for "final lease payments." It just took me weeks of talking to customer service agents to resolve this. Please do yourselves a favor and don't get stuck leasing your phone with these liars. They have no integrity and don't do what they say they're going to do.

I'd give them a 0 if I could!

Where do I start. From beginning to end this company sucks big time. I ordered the Home Internet for my area and they said it was on their Ultra 5G network. What a joke. I got an average of 18 mb/s down and 26 mb/s up. These are Ultra 5G speeds? Then try to cancel was a chore in itself. They kept passing me from one customer rep to another and fiunally after 2 1/2 hours of chats and calls I got my return label. How does this company stay in business? Very unfriendly and unhelpful customer service reps work at TMobile. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CRAPPY COMPANY!

I used to have a T-Mobile mobile internet device, and it always worked great. So last year, I switched to an expensive cell phone plan with tethering. At first, it worked fine, too, but since then, it's gotten slower and slower. It cuts out at random times all day. I did a speed test and got. 98 mbps download /. 52 mbps upload. T-Mobile is so terrible now that simple photos take all day to upload or just freeze and stop. The service is almost non-existent at certain times of day. I shouldn't be throttled, either, because I never come close to the data limit I pay for. Plus, I live close to a place that hosts music concerts. When there is a concert, T-Mobile basically stops. I pay a lot of money for internet that feels as slow as the dial-up I had in the early 00's. T-Mobile is horrible.

I have had the worst experience in my life since Sprint merged with T-Mobile. They give you a package and do NOT honor it, nor do they give you any details if it included HULU, which they said it did. My old plan included HULU with ONE line for years. After a month on the new plan HULU was canceled. I call and they told me that I had to have a second line. I asked why that information was not provided by the 3 separate people I spoke with who confirmed the plan included HULU. "Sorry" was their only answer and they suggested I change to a plan that cost more to get HULU. I was not under any contract with them before I switched plans and they did this to lock me in another year.
The other issue I have had was a sales person would work out the entire new phone upgrade, price, plan and so forth and when they switch me to a sales rep to close the deal the sales rep tries to add all kinds of fees and other items and tells me the price is incorrect. This happened twice. This company sucks. I would not recommend them to anyone. They are dishonest, though they ASSURE you that what they tell you is correct, it is not. They mislead you to get you to sign up and the supervisor blames the sales person (s) for not giving you the correct information. They do nothing to fix the situation, only try to charge you more for what they told you was included. If you go with this company be sure to call back (which will take at least 3 to 4 hours of your time each call because the disconnect you when you ask for a supervisor) and check on the contract you signed up for and its terms. You will likely find it is not what you were told. If it were only one representative I could understand error, but 3 different people guaranteeing the same is not an error,

Tried to turn in my daughter's and son's iphones for the $200 and $110 trade in for new phones.
1. store wouldn't take them when picked up new phones. Wasted trip
2. Got an email 4 weeks later saying i had only 3 more days to turn in the old phones. Waste of time
3. Emailed me a shipping label for the USPS. Took it to USPS and they would not accept the phones because the label was for first class that usps doesn't accept cellphones. Wasted trip
4. Called customer service to get ground usps labels. Six hours later they mail me 4(four) more first class shipping labels that the usps won't accept. Waste of my day off.
5. asked to take them to the store. Memo added to my account that i could return them to the store. I took them to the store and they wouldn't accept them because the phones weren't wiped of data. Nothing on the literature said it had to be and my kids needed to be along to provide passwords. Waste of trip and day.
6. brought son to store. Store said couldn't take it without manager around. Come back. Waste of time and day and trip.
7. two more hours on phone with customer service. Emailed me shipping label for UPS. Still can't wipe of data.
44th street and thomas rd in phoenix sucks. All of tmobile sucks. I'm switching to verizon asap. I'm filing a complaint with better business bureau, federal trade commission and commerce department.

T-mobile so expensive and so bad
August 15, 2022

I transfer my old phone ( iPhone 12 mini) to take the new phone (iPhone 13) They charge for me $26.67 for every month, and I need to pay in 30 months, so total I need to pay over $800 for iPhone 13. So that mean t-moble token free my iPhone 12 mini, and they didn't divide for me any money from iPhone 12 mini.

I went to upgrade my phone at the store in the mall and was told there's a 50% off on tablet since I'm buying a new phone. Of course I was thrilled with that. What I wasn't told was that if I cancelled the data plan on the tablet I would have to pay the full price of the tablet. Not good customer service I have been with T mobile for a long time and don't take their promotions since I didn't need them until the offer on the tablet.
So I called customer service trying to cancel the tablet data and that was when I was told, I then have to pay full price if I cancelled the data.
Not a happy t-mobile client anymore

Check your bills. They lie a lot. Each time you call always something different. I got a free phone looked at my bill and getting charged. Called and told it will be reflected on my next bill. Next month same crap. Been with them for years and this is how they treat their customers
