T-Mobile Reviews Summary

T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

Upgrade time frame
September 26, 2022

Long story short was ecstatic about T-Mobile and their service in the beginning until recently when I finally decided to use my upgrade as I had dropped my phone and don't carry ins as I usually don't have these issues and do not ever do upgrades either. Well basically my finances changed soni had to stop autopay and begin payment arrangements and now everytime I call to upgrade it's sorry we can't your one or two days into the next billing cycle, well apparently I just was informed a few moments ago that the arraignment is setup for the day before the new cycle begins so basically it's pay the bill and order right then. Well my life doesn't work that way I don't always have time to do the extra as I am LG user and now that they are no longer being made I'd like to speak with someone to help me find a phone that would be in comparison to. But I can't seem to get anyone to chat with and insist and wait and wait and the Mon I leave my phone to get a drink use the bathroom light a cig, they finally come on and wait literally a min maybe two after I have waited anywhere from 11 mins up on them and when I don't respond withing the two mins they disconnect the chat, so it's start over again and wait well I can't sit all day and wait what is the point in being a loyal customer not complaining not continuously getting upgrades or ins claims of when you finally do need to get something your unable!? What happened to my temp of experts, my great experience with the company I have been dealing with this for months my phone is only getting worse by the day, and was told they could call back the day of payment to get upgrade well that an entire month away, what is the point I'm dissatisfied to say the least, and would greatly like to find a new Cartier that can offer me a great if not better plan for my daughter as she is an apple user! Any recommendations would be great sorry TMobile there is no gratitude from your side gir being a loyal customer to help me with my situation and I can not and will not continue to be loyal to a company that is only looking for the dollar not the happiness of the customer especially when I don't complain make ins claims or even usually take my upgrade! What's the point in staying

Is there a zero
September 26, 2022

I've been trying to contact somehuman not a computer! I finally get a human only to find out they do not know how to connect me to a supervisor, they either don't understand my language or play games with me! I'm on call number 6 today and surprise surprise I still haven't talked to anyone. I'm canceling my service and praying Verizon is better. Good bye, I don't forget how people treat me.

Absolutely BAD! Right from the beginning my cell phone service was bad -- calls dropped and there was an abnormal pause before it connected so you weren't sure it was connecting. I complained -- but nothing came as a result -- they said they did this and that. Finally I decided to just leave. My going to Tmobile proved to be a costly venture. Not only did I l lose monies in a Sim Card, Activation Fee, Month and a half worth of service with T Mobile, but I had to also re-invest monies in order to go with the new Phone Provide when I switched back again.

I wanted to shut my phone. Off I switched to a better company. And they wouldn't answer my question I told them I am not paying for service when I canceled it. The person who I was talking to said yes you are. They are the meanest. Customer service. And I tried to ask them they said I seen it already wouldn't help me at all and just left the chat gave it to someone else.

I placed an order for a new line to be transferred from Verizon, so i waited 2 days before checking on the status of the ordered phone. Turns out it was shipped to a completely different state! T-Mobile claims they can not get me a new phone that I have to wait for it to be shipped back to the warehouse, and I have to wait another so many WEEKS! Before i can get a new phone... Explain to me why i would proceed to switch services? And now i just got sent to the main menu, with no answers. They refuse to refund my money even after acknowledged the mistake. I have to wait for the phone to show back up in the warehouse. What if i never does! This is the worst customer service i've ever dealt with.

Horrific company
September 19, 2022

This company is horrible. Your bill changes every month. Most barely speak English and have no clue what is going on. So many regrets going with this company. Buyer please be aware.

Bait and switch
September 19, 2022

I recently purchased a new phone and told them I wanted to pay for my phone separately and not have any installments. The process my request - however, they applied my trade-in and neglected to add sales tax. So they put the sales tax on an installment plan. When I complained at the store - they said there is nothing they could do and basically told me to get lost.

I've been a Verizon customer the past few years in my area and have had no issues completing phone calls, and working for delivery companies. I recently switched to T-mobile in the past couple months and I can have full reception and the literally walk across the street and lose all reception, I now have a massive dead zone in the west side and south side of my city. T-mobile needs to be investigated with how bad it is, and it's not just my city this happens to me in every town or city I visit.

Worse phone company
September 17, 2022

This company is very messy…. They constant over charge me and have mailed my items to wrong addresses numerous times and delay my time to receive my product. It's almost as if this company has no managers. Just a messy company that I was thrown into with the merger. Get it together

I have been a customer of T-Mobile for 10 years, and my bill with 2 phone lines and very bad internet was 184 a month, so I switched to xfinity, for half that, but my phone number was supposed to switched as well, but T-Mobile took it upon themselves to cancel my phone line before it was transferred and now I have no phone at all, they were supposed to unlock my number, but canceled my line! Horrible customer service, the internet never worked, and I left xfinity the first time around to go with T-Mobile internet bad mistake, but Matt from the T-Mobile store in Howell said they would pay off my cancellation fee from xfinity so when I did get my bill and took it back to Matt he said they can't pay my bill and basically I was sol! Now I have no phone service, xfinity is not open to get my phone working, and I probably lost my phone number I had for 10 years, T-Mobile only cares about ripping you off and making changes to your account without your consent! They are just as bad as ATT

They don't want you to get the new flip phone. I've never had a T-Mobile phone and yet my SSN was flagged. They said I needed to go to a store and show my drivers license. I went to a store, and they said I'dd need to give them a copy of my Social Security Card. Sooooo I drove home got my card the took pictures of the front and back of that and my drivers license. Then I was told it would take 24 hours. I think I'm good.

As soon as they get their money, they don't care
September 14, 2022

I really wish I could go through life without needing a mobile phone. T-mobile and verizon are both terrible terrible companies that bring you on with false promotions. Even after clarifying issues before signing up they will say yes just to get you to sign on. As soon as they can get your money, I honestly don't think they could care less. Getting in contact with someone is almost near impossible and have waited hours to talk to someone UNLESS you state how frustrated you are with the company.

Worst experience ever
September 14, 2022

Shortly after signing up with tmobile my info was stolen in Ca, from a tmobile store. I live in Mi. My phone was turned off and a new metro phone was opened at a tmobile store in Ca. Then they accessed my coin base account through my info and received the confirmation text from coin base to my phone which was now a metro phone. They then cleaned out my coinbase account then went to my bank account associated with coinbase and tried to withdraw funds from that account. Luckily, my bank wsaw this for what it was, fraud, and contacted me. That account was immediately closed. Even though my tmobile account was closed and then opened with another tmobile phone, metro, in 15 minutes. It took me 2.5 weeks to get my phone number back, a number I had for 15 years. Both the rep at the tmobile store here in Mi and I reported this to the tmobile fraud department no less than 5 times. I have never been contacted by tmobile concerning this issue. Back when this all was being sorted out I was offered a $420.00 credit to pay off my iphone from tmobile. They now refuse to honor that offer. I switched all my lines to another carrier except the one that had a phone agreement associated with it. I can not unlock this phone to switch because tmobile will not honor the agreement. Also, when switching all my lines one was suspended and not turned off. They continued to charge me on a monthly basis for this line even though I had cancelled it. Multiple calls to the to mobile "experts" have only resulted in literally hours of wasted time and frustration because they can not or will not read the notes associated with this account to understand what actually is happening. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CARRIER AT ALL COST

If he is the best they can find for a store manager T-Mobile might as well close this store. In my 68 years I have never met a more discustingly rude person.

I am very sad
September 13, 2022

I traded in a paid off iPhone 12 for an iPhone 12 mini because I love the smaller size. Paid off, mind you. It was to be an even trade. I am not charged anything for the iPhone 12 mini. I wanted to trade it in today for an iPhone 13 mini and the customer service rep would not let me until I pay 420 dollars to pay off the iPhone 12 mini. Mind you, it was already purchased outright with the turning in of my iPhone 12 which was 11 months old and in perfect condition. Their reasoning does not make sense. The iPhone 12 mini is mine, Free and Clear. Anyway, they said no. I cannot have the iPhone 13 mini until I "pay off my iPhone 12 mini", which is already mine and for which I pay nothing.

I am really disappointed. I live the small size of the mini and I really wanted it in the 13 and RED, since I think they are discontinuing that size in future models, And I have been a Sprint customer for 20 years with the same phone number. I didn't think they would let me down.

Tammy & Elijah - Auburn Branch
September 13, 2022

I recently went into the Auburn Branch very skeptical about switching Cell phone companies as I have been with my current carrier for several years. I was first met by Elijah at the counter who I found extremely pleasant and helpful in the research for my new phone. After a bit of confusion with a previous employee that dealt with my husband when we worked with his phone. I was ready to walk away but then Tammy was gracefully helpful in clearing up the confusion and helped in putting the deal together for my husband and my self on the new phone and hot spot. Thank you very much to both Tammy and Elijah for all of there help in making the switch very pleasant.

Ripoffs
September 13, 2022

Tried the service and it didn't work. I was promised a full refund of 175 for activation fees; but they charged me another 160 after the account was closed and refuse to refund any of the money. I had to close credit card for fraud, and get issued a new one. 2 months and no refund.
